    Hi Jonathan,

    There is a built-in option to change the Footer Row to 4 columns.

    Just click on one of the Footer Row, and set the Columns to 4.

    Here’s a video: https://share.getcloudapp.com/JruevLdk

    Next, just add Widget item to each columns. Here’s a video: https://share.getcloudapp.com/Jruev6P6

    I hope this helps, and let us know if we can assist you further.

    I am wondering how to format the footer row so that I have four sections, each with a vertical column of section title above three links.

    I do not want to use custom CSS if I can help it. For example one section could be titled “Blog Subjects” above, and three links below that title of “Spiritual Wisdom”, “Gut Health”, “Money Issues”; all arranged in one vertical column section. I do not have the money to hire a developer to help me with this. So if you have any recommended resources, other than Free Code Camp, I would appreciate it. I would rather learn the exact CSS that is explicitly needed.

    Hi there!

    I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

    When I view your website now, there are no lines on the footer navigation – https://share.getcloudapp.com/P8uXv6Nw. Please could you confirm if you already resolved the issue?

    Kind regards,
    Karla

    Hello,
    In the footer of my website, there is a menu that is emphasised. I discovered CSS codes that worked in threads with same problems, but mine did not.

    Can the horizontal lines under each link be eliminated? The website’s address is

    #283909

    Hi Karla,

    I can set up a temp access if that would be helpful?

    In essence, I want the max width for tablet to be 700px. Within the main content this already works, but, for element items using Kadence blocks and the footer, it goes to wide width and does not match the main content width. I would these limited to 700px for tablet. Right now, I can sort of force these by manually setting the block width but I was hoping there was a permanent way to set this.

    Cheers and thank you for your help.

    Hello,

    I recently hid my sidebar on tablet and mobile views. However, now, other elements such as Category and Tag titles as well as the footer are not aligned as I assume they are matching the width had there been a sidebar. So far, I’ve manually forced them to match but it is becoming a problem.

    This is the CSS:

    @media
    screen and (max-width: 1024px){
    .has-sidebar .primary-sidebar {display:none}
    }

    @media
    (min-width:768px) and (max-width: 1024px){
    .has-sidebar .content-container {
    max-width: 700px
    }
    }

    My hope is to be able to have the content’s inner width match the actual width on the tablet view.

    Cheers,

    Mark

    #283800

    Oh yes, I have.
    I bought the pro version, played with it in a very relaxed way and within 15 minutes I received exactly the same email from wordpress.org. And I was (and still am) not able to acces the Kadence library. Well, except on a site where I still use Elementor pro and have something in use like an Elementor header and/or a footer; then, it’s nearly cynical, I can acces the Kadence library. So critical error, library issues and Kadence doesn’t work properly without Elementor, the builder I’m trying to replace.

    Kadence version 3 by the way, PHP 8.0 and 8.1 and 8.2, 4GB memory, Kadence theme and tested on 5 different WP installations, with 2 different hosting companies by now.
    Driving me nuts.

    Oh, I just realised the other Kadence user in this forum seems to be Dutch also. Maybe something to do with the language? Can’t imagine, but I’m not a developer…

    Hi Kathy,
    Try adding this to your CSS in Theme Options:

    .kt-row-column-wrap.kt-has-3-columns.kt-row-layout-equal.kt-tab-layout-inherit.kt-mobile-layout-row.kt-row-valign-top {
        max-width: 200px;
    }
    #containerfooter [class*=wp-image] {
        padding: 5px;
    }

    Does that work as you’re wanting?

    Kindly,
    Hannah

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay. So what I’m trying to do is have the social images (in the footer widget) lined up in 1 row but closer together. I used the ‘Image’ block, but as you can see the social images are far apart. How can I get them to line up closer together? Or which Kadence block should I be using?

    I have discovered the use of Elements and have created a section to show at the footer of my single Recipe Custom Post Type – but how do I show only tags for my CPT (yes, my CPT has unique tags enabled called ‘recipe-tags’).

    I can see how to select for example, the Tag Cloud block and in that block, I can choose to target tags from Recipes – but I don’t want a tag cloud – just want to display the actual tags for that unique post.

    When I swap Tag Cloud for a ‘Tags’ block, there is no way to select the tag type (recipe-tags).

    It seems there is a block for everything except what I need! Do I need to write some custom code ?

    #283422

    Hello Team

    I have a Custom Post Type called Recipes. I have a lot of tags assigned for each single CPT Recipe, however, in the Kadence theme customisation menu, there is no “Tags” section, only the content and “display comments”. Can you add Tags support to the customizer?

    Meanwhile, how can I display the tags to the footer of the single cpt recipes?

    Hi Peggy,
    You should be able to edit/remove that footer text from Theme Options > Misc Settings > Footer Copyright Text.
    Hope that helps!

    Best,

    #283254

    Hi, Brian!

    I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

    The spacing between the header & footer and the content area is the top and bottom content spacing. You will see the global value for it in Customizer > General > Layout > Content Top & Bottom Spacing.

    On the other hand, there are options to only disable that for posts or pages only. Watch this screen recording – https://share.getcloudapp.com/yAuJ1nJd.

    Also, if you want to disable it for a specific post only, you can go to the Page/Post Settingshttps://www.kadencewp.com/kadence-theme/knowledge-base/customize-settings/how-to-setup-page-post-settings/.

    Regarding the space between the content and sidebar – this is a default from our theme’s styles. There is no option to adjust it. You can add custom CSS in Customizer > Additional CSS to adjust it:

    @media screen and (min-width: 1025px) {
    .has-sidebar .content-container {grid-gap: 20px;}
    }

    I hope this helps, and let us know if we can assist you further.

    Regards,
    Karla

    Hi

    Actually I don’t know why the error disappeared from the chrome console…

    On the other hand there is always the second problem, the menu which is inserted at the bottom of the footer and which is not in my footer parameters.

    #283103

    Hello

    For the life of me I can not figure out how to add a new custom social icon to the footer widget. I had to create the custom icon and made it into a png, which is in the library. However, I have read your documents on adding a custom icon by going to Appearance > Customize > Social (but the Social option does NOT show up under Customize. Just what the Virture theme menu.) I have already added 2 icons to the footer widget, like Yelp & Linkin, but I need to add this one customize icon.

    Please advise.

    THank you.

    Hi Chito,

    check “Pyjamas” category and also “Pure Silk” category. These both have footer descriptions that will not display. (there may be others I haven’t checked them all)

    I’ve cleared browser cache and website cache, however the problem persists.

    The “Robes” category it will display the description correctly.
