In reply to: Strange behaviour of sticky menu/ header

Hi Hannah
I already had that script in the footer – but with a 0 offset.
Changing that did indeed (with a tweak) get it looking right on a browser, but then on a mobile without a sticky header it offsets it a bit too far down the page.
Is there a way to call this script just for the wider screens? In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: parallax image on widget and page are different

Hey Colin,
You can fix this with some javascript. See here:
https://pastebin.pl/view/48eb3730
Try adding that to your footer output in theme options.
Let me know how that works for you!Best,

Thanks Hannah, that’s a much more elegant solution!
I see that the footer row can’t be defined as “full width” due to the container width set to #conainerfooter.container set to 1170px. I’ve set that to 100% to match the current site, but it still isn’t reaching across. Please can you help me get the new site to match the original?
1. Left and right margin on “We can help…”. This row needs to stretch edge to edge.
2. Likewise the next row containing map and contact form, edge to edge, please.
3. The next 2 rows need to be back to normal content width (1170px). I’ve tried various settings on the rows but with no success.
4. Vertically, remove all the additional gaps. On the original site, these rows are all butted up together with no vertical gaps.
5. Remove the additional space after the final row.
6. Also, I can’t see a way to include the menu “footer menu” as a widget in the re-usable block. Does this require another plugin or is there a way to pull-in this menu which I have already setup?
Many thanks fro all your help,
Phil.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Complex footer – best approach
Gotcha. OK I suggest using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/reusable-blocks-extended/
It allows you to build reusable blocks and add them to a widget area via shortcode. So you can create a row layout block with multiple rows and columns, then add them to a footer widget area. Just enable the fourth or fifth footer widget area from Theme Options > Footer then add the widget to footer column 1 from Appearance > Widgets.
Let me know if this works for you or if I can help further!Best,

Hey Phil,
Which editor are you using? If page builder by siteorigin you can add a layout builder block to your footer and create your desired layout that way. https://siteorigin.com/page-builder/documentation/building-a-page/#:~:text=Using%20the%20Layout%20Widget,footers%20and%20other%20widgetized%20areas.
Let me know if you would like a different approach and we can try to create other workarounds.Best,
HannahIn forum: Kadence ThemeHello,
If you need something extremely specific, you can target the classes for each top footer section. So for example, the upper, far left column on your site is:
.site-footer-top-section-1 { }To target your lower footer section, the far left column is section 1 while the right side is section 2:
.site-footer-bottom-section-1 { }site-footer-bottom-section-2 { }There are settings you can modify inside the theme itself when designing the site so you may not need custom CSS depending on what you are trying to achieve. The items in the footer called widgets don’t have their own design tab when you click on them like the social icons and the menu does, but you can control the row design layouts for those as shown in this video:
https://share.getcloudapp.com/llu26r2P
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks!
In forum: Kadence ThemeIn forum: Kadence ThemeHi,
I have a footer are on a site using Top Row and Bottom Row. It’s using the Footer Menu and various Navigation Menu Widgets and HTML widgets. The footer widget is indenting and some of the other widgets I need to apply some styling to. Can you please advise if there is any way to do this without custom CSS or how I should target the three areas to apply the custom CSS?
Thanks

Hi Kimberly,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Could you resend the screenshots you’ve added? I cannot view them, says “That page doesn’t exist. The requested page was not found.”. On the other hand, you can edit or remove the Footer Copyright Text by going to Theme Options > Misc Settings and adjusting the Footer Copyright Text option.
Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you further.

I would like to remove the custom footer text from my site. I thought I added this by changing the footer credits on the site. I am unable to find the css when I search in the theme file footer.php. See image attached.
When I look at the page source this is what I find.
I’m not sure how to otherwise remove it.
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Accordian pushing down rather than up
Hello Stephen,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
There is no option to scroll the page to the top of the accordion item you’ve clicked currently. You can add this script on Theme Options > Header and Footer Scripts > Footer Output to make this happen – https://pastebin.com/yGx6yU40
Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you with anything else.

KarlaIn forum: Kadence ThemeOctober 14, 2020 at 10:09 am #258743Hi,
I have Swift merging JS, this is causing the Kadence Element that I’ve hooked in before the footer to render incorrectly.
What JS is called by Elements to hook in here, I can exclude it if I know which .JS script it is.
Cheers
