    Hi Guys,

    Hope you are keeping well – lately?

    I need some help please? So I usually use the Virtue Premium theme. But this time decided to go with Ascend Premium for a change because of the side menu (nav) panels.

    Tell me, is there any way to get the side menu (header) left or right to be transparent? As well as the footer background please? I would like to have a full screen width and height background image with a transparent or opaque menu and footer? But when I add the css it either doesn’t change or goes slightly grey. So,also if you could help me with the background image to be full width and height as well please with transparent/opaque side menu and footer – if possible.

    Is it possible to do this? The link to the site I’m busy building is –

    What I am trying to achieve is something like this but with the menu on the side of course – (just an example of the background image with clear everything :))

    I have absolute faith that you can help.

    Hopefully hear from you soon.

    Stay safe!!

    Warmest regards
    Craig

    Hey John,
    1. I’m seeing your button text centered on all your slides. Are you seeing something different? Can you send a screenshot?

    2. I haven’t heard of others experiencing that. What happens when you try to add right padding? Is this only not showing on the front for you or does it not work in the backend either?

    3. You can create that using css like this:

    .clearfix.kt_footer_sitewide_shortcode {
        padding-bottom: 50px;
    }

    Just paste that into your custom css box in Theme Options > Advanced Settings.

    4. Sorry, not with the Kadence Slider. You would need to use a plugin like Slider Revolution (https://revolution.themepunch.com/)

    Best,
    Hannah

    Hi Hannah,

    Hmmmm, not ideal.

    I want to keep the tour listings as pages because of the SEO. I want to get repeat visitors to the same page.

    I wonder how other travel agency wordpress sites deal with this. In your experience, have you dealt with other travel companies, or companies selling specific tour packages that happen only once or twice per year?

    Maybe I should create a series of Posts that basically duplicate the information on the tour Pages. Then I can categorize these posts, and generate menus from these categories. This does seem like a lot of duplicate work though. I thought there would be a more elegant way to organize. This would mean that every single new tour would require
    1. updating the specific tour Page,
    2. writing a new Post,
    3. updating the Primary dropdown menu
    4. updating the thumbnail on the Home page
    5. updating the thumbnail on the Tours page
    6. creating a new slide in the Kadence Slider in the footer

    Too much.

    What about the woo commerce pages…. I have never looked into this, but could a future tour be advertised in such a format?

    Hannah,

    I am currently experimenting with the Kadence slider as a site wide footer.

    While I’m working on this, can you give me access to the css for the sitewide footer button? I am trying to use this space as a Call to Action to get people to sign up for the NEWSLETTER. I would like to play with the text font, size of text, padding, button size, and other elements, to make it fit the footer better and catch more attention. http://www.johngrahamtours.com

    See Contact Form in the Footer on:

    https://www.inkwellcartridges.com.au

    And the contact form on this page:

    https://www.inkwellcartridges.com.au/contact-us/

    And sometimes to recreate the issue it will often happen after you refresh the page

    Hi Sanket,
    In Theme Options > Theme Extensions you can enable Header and Footer Scripts. Save and refresh your settings and you should see this as an option in your theme options. You can paste the script into your footer output.
    Hope that helps!

    Hannah,

    I would like to try your advice. I want to create something like the slider at the bottom of this page: https://www.steppestravel.com/blog/understanding-overtourism/

    In that slider, there are the following elements:
    1. a large horizontally cropped image that fills most of the screen;
    2. a small found portrait image of the author;
    3. text of various sizes and fonts
    4. a horizontal line
    5. a “read more” link with a line graphic underneath that changes when hovering
    6. arrows that point right/left to additional posts. Those posts are smaller in vertical size, and grayed out, until they are clicked.

    I don’t need all these features, but it does look quite professional.

    I like the idea of putting this in the site wide footer area, because I would like this slider to contain information about upcoming tours that I am trying to sell, and if this appears on every page and post on the entire site, that would be great. Right now, it is still difficult for users to find all of my tours.

    Please see the Screenshot as it displays the Script on the Page in the Footer, please advise, thank you.

    Hi Hannah,

    Returning briefly to this question of ways to tag, categorize, or otherwise organize different types of pages (not posts), I have a follow up question for you.

    What I would like to do is create ways for users to browse or search for different kinds of tours on http://www.johngrahamtours.com. Other websites allow users to look for or click words like “cultural tours” “botany tours” “hiking tours” “pilgrimage tours” “fall tours” “spring tours” “Armenia tours” “Ethiopia tours” etc.

    So what is the best way to do this? I thought maybe applying tags or categories to each tour Page would do the trick. Then I could create menus like I currently have in the footer of http://www.johngrahamtours.com or I could add a Tag Cloud to a sidebar, or a “Tour Type” dropdown menu from the Primary Menu. It seems to me that this should be an easy thing to do.

    But in WordPress, tags and categories seem designed for Posts. Also, I don’t find that Tag clouds are very elegant. In fact, they are kind of irritating to the eye, with different size fonts, etc.

    I think my users would appreciate a cleaner, more simple, and intuitive menu experience where they could choose from different types of tours. On clicking a tour type such as “Fall Tours”, I would like the website to generate a page with all relevant tour pages.

    What do you recommend?

    John

    Hi Hannah,
    I’ve added the Script as per the attached Screenshot, but it made no difference at all in either Google Chrome or Safari on my iPhone 6, please advise, thank you.

    Hey,
    1. You can add this to your footer scripts from Theme Options > Header and Footer Scripts:

    jQuery(document).ready(function ($) {
    $('.mh-kad-mobile-nav .mh-kad-nav-inner li a').click(function(){
        $('.mh-kad-nav-collapse').collapse('hide');
    });
    });
    </script>

    2. Can you send a screenshot of this?

    Thanks!

    #250757

    If you want that kind of style you can use CSS like this:

    @media screen and (max-width: 767px) {
    .footer-widget-area-inner {
        display: flex;
        justify-content: center;
    }
    }

    Hello,

    How can I center align the widgets in the footer without center aligning the content?
    This is important in mobile view.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

    I have a WPForms contact form set up in both my footer and on a contact page. It has a reCAPTCHA v2 setup and it has been working fine up until recently. The reCAPTCHA displays fine on a desktop but is missing on a phone or tablet. Even stranger, sometimes it displays but then I refresh the page and it disappears again, when the reCAPTCHA box is not visible, a customer cannot complete the form as it claims their reCAPTCHA result is missing (obviously because they could not fill it out). Is this some conflict with the theme?

    Thanks

    Hi Anders,
    Without a link it’s hard to know for sure, but that is likely pulling from an image widget in your footer. You can edit/remove the footer widgets from Appearance > Widgets.

    Hi Marc,
    So sorry for the delay! In your css you need to add a period in front of “home”. So change that snippet of css to this:

    .home #kad-banner, .home #containerfooter {
    display: none;
    }

    Hope that’s helpful!

    Hi,

    Thanks for your kind assistance!

    I had been using Invisible reCaptcha for WordPress which was adding Google ReCaptcha v3. I disabled it. I also ‘commented’ the Truepush SDK script in the Theme’s Header and Footer Area. However, I do not understand what CORS policy means.

    By the way, it still doesn’t work with Google ReCaptcha v3 and Truepush SDK disabled. What to do now?

    Hi ben and Hanna
    I come back to you about my problem.

    the home page https://mauriziomontobbio.com/ take no more in count the ccs code in Option theme advanced css … : The goal was to not display the menu and footer in that page . the page is a landing page template. Maybe a conflict with last verio n of WP? strange? the code following is actually i n the option theme; I have tried to redo a page based on the template Landing page. Until I décided to choose it as home page, no menu and footer, but once I affect it as home page the menu appeared.

    /* FOR HOME PAGE 3 buttonslanguage choice No menu and no footer . The following code suppress the display of menu and footer only on mainhome landing template page */
    home #kad-banner, .home #containerfooter {
    display: none;
