Hi Ben,
Hope you’re doing great! Thanks for this great Ascend Theme! I recently joined your membership plan.
Today I need a little help to customize my MailChimp Subscription form which I placed in the footer. I should mention I’m not using any plugin for this. This is an embedded form placed inside an HTML Widget. Here is the MailChimp code that I put in the HTML Widget. You may also find some unnecessary classes that I previously added when using Virtue Premium.
<!-- Begin MailChimp Signup Form -->
<div id="mc_embed_signup">
<form id="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" class="validate" action="//minhajulhaque.us8.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=0dd4747ac666b424a1c48ce16&id=18b60de384" method="post" name="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" novalidate="" target="_blank">
<div id="mc_embed_signup_scroll">Don't miss your discounts and our occasional announcements.
<!--
<div class="indicates-required"><span class="asterisk">*</span> indicates required</div>
-->
<div class="row">
<div class="mc-field-group col-xs-6"><!--<label for="mce-FNAME">First Name <span class="asterisk">*</span></label>--><input id="mce-FNAME" class="required" name="FNAME" type="text" value="" placeholder="First Name" />
</div>
<div class="mc-field-group col-xs-6"><!--<label for="mce-LNAME">Last Name <span class="asterisk">*</span></label>--><input id="mce-LNAME" class="required" name="LNAME" type="text" value="" placeholder="Last Name" />
</div>
</div>
<div class="mc-field-group"><!--<label for="mce-EMAIL">Email Address <span class="asterisk">*</span></label>--><input id="mce-EMAIL" class="required email" name="EMAIL" type="email" value="" placeholder="Email Address" />
</div>
<div id="mce-responses" class="clear"></div>
<!-- real people should not fill this in and expect good things - do not remove this or risk form bot signups-->
<div style="position: absolute; left: -5000px;"><input tabindex="-1" name="b_0dd4747ac666b424a1c48ce16_18b60de384" type="text" value="" /></div>
<div class="clear"><input id="mc-embedded-subscribe" class="button kad-btn kad-btn-primary" name="subscribe" type="submit" value="Subscribe Newsletter" /></div>
</div>
</form></div>
<!--End mc_embed_signup-->Please style this to match your Ascend theme and make the submit button “full-width”.

Yes that’s what I wanted. Sorry for not clarifying.
Try adding this to your custom css box in Theme Options > Advanced Settings:@media (max-width: 992px) { .col-md-4.footercol1, .col-md-4.footercol2, .col-md-4.footercol3 { margin-bottom: 30px; } }Hope that helps!

November 5, 2019 at 12:21 pm #239988Hey,
The items are setup in columns, it’s not about a gap or a margin, it’s not controlled by css. The columns are set in the carousel. You can override with some javascript in your head like this:<script type="text/javascript"> jQuery(document).ready(function ($) { $('.above-footer-widget .kadence_carousel_widget_output').attr('data-slider-xxl', '9'); }); </script>In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: mobile footer

1. I’m only seeing 6 columns. There isn’t a built in option to increase this.
5. You would need to add a custom function into a child them if you want to change the tags. You can adjust the font with this css:
.above-footer-widgets .widget-title { font-size: 24px; line-height: 30px; font-family: sans-serif; }Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Virtue Premium: Blog page background
Hello,
I have WordPress 5.2.4 and Kadence blocks 1.7.2 – but the using the row layout some chapters get very narrow. I wonder if it’s a thing in Gutenberg, that you cannot see the grid, as I drew here with green.
I attach a screenshot of the Bear pages. The blog pages won’t scroll till the end, that is the bottom of the footer.
Your tip about the blog page option, no sidebar, was great! I hadn’t noticed that.
Thank you,
UllaIn forum: Virtue ThemeI need to add the GCR customer survey opt-in code to the confirmation page but can only access the checkout page which appears to be the same page? I have added the code to the checkout page itself but the GCR badge is still not working. I have also already added the Badge code to the Footer script in Theme options.
I think the confirmation page is the issue. I need to add the customer survey opt-in code just before the closing </body> tag on the confirmation page. How can I do this using this theme?

Hi Hannah,
My apologies, there have been some changes over the weekend!I have now added an above footer widget which has made even the shortest pages longer. The problem with the footer is no longer happening. If it comes back, I’ll let you know!
Many thanks,
Phil.In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Bottom Carousel formatting
Hi Ben,
The carousel you helped with in this post is now a Carousel in the above-footer area widget (Link).Please could you help with the appearance?
Reduce the size to height 200px and width corresponding.
Reduce the gaps that appear between as a result.
Display all 8 products instead of just 7 at the moment.
Remove the coloured overlay, magnifying glass, item name, category.
Change the title tags to h3Very many thanks,
Phil.In forum: Virtue ThemeHello,
I have created sites FIN/ENG for my book Bear and Fox. Now I am trying to add a blog page, that could have the same background as the home page, OR even better would be just to have white background. But something strange is happening there, also the footer gets cut off above the last widgets?
Any ideas what I should do to fix this?
Home page: *Login to see link
The post: *Login to see link
The blog page I’m still working on: *Login to see link
Also, I am using Kadence blocks for lay out, is it normal for Gutenberg to show such a narrow view of the elements (image attached)?
Thank you,

In forum: Virtue ThemeOctober 29, 2019 at 1:02 am #239648Well that makes more sense then, you are using elementor pro to override the header and footer but it’s not doing a very good job. It really should be through a api support. I put it on my list to add code that tells elementor not do it what it’s currently doing and to hook in a different way for that in the next virute update. In the meantime you can use this free plugin which is already supported: https://wordpress.org/plugins/header-footer-elementor/
Or send me FTP access and I’ll drop in that peice of code that will prevent elementor pros theme features from breaking all your plugins and outputing two headers.
Or you can turn off elementors header and footer.

Hannah, it a plugin issue.
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/not-showing-instagram-photos-3/The plugin needs to be updated and developer has not done so ….yet. Great.
I like showing Instagram feed in footer. If you or Ben have any ideas…I will switch from this plugin in a heartbeat. Apparently, people have been waiting for an update for a while.
Thank you,
PamIn forum: Virtue ThemeOctober 23, 2019 at 5:30 pm #239362Looks like you have this:
@media (min-width: 992px) { html, body { height: 100%; } html body #wrapper.container { min-height: 100%; position: relative; padding-bottom: 338px !important; } #containerfooter { position: absolute; bottom: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; } }And it should be this:
@media (min-width: 992px) { html, body { height: 100%; } html body.wide #wrapper.container { min-height: 100%; position: relative; padding-bottom: 338px !important; } #containerfooter { position: absolute; bottom: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; } }You can copy right from the forums here.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeThanks, Ben. This did move the header consistently to the bottom of the page, but I’m still seeing the issue with the footer now covering up the content as the height of the window is reduced. This is not just a theoretical problem, since on my Macbook Air 13″ this means the images in the grid are half obscured when the window is normal width.
I’ll post screenshots with and without the CSS to show what I mean.
In forum: Virtue ThemeOctober 23, 2019 at 4:54 pm #239358Unfortunately this CSS is causing a number of other problems:
You have to match up the css numbers with your footer else it won’t work.
For example if your footer is 180px then that needs to be used for the padding part of the css.
Your footer happens to be 338px. So the css would be like this:
@media (min-width: 992px) { html, body { height: 100%; } html body.wide #wrapper.container { min-height: 100%; position: relative; padding-bottom: 338px !important; } #containerfooter { position: absolute; bottom: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; } }Ben
