    Search for products would be different then the standard search. that’s not the same placeholder as “search”

    You would have to translate the string in the language files like you would other string. You can use loco translate if you need a interface:

    This affected all my 8 sites. I now have this problem, besides I can’t edit any file via ftp, it gives me an error.

    It’s not a plugin, it’s a virus in a standalone archive I suppose. Everything was fine until I uploaded virtue premium folder to my hosting.
    Then I installed suggested by theme plugins. It suggested me 5 plugins to install (i’m not sure, maybe less)

    I have tried to rename theme and plugin folders, but this doesn’t help. I now can’t edit any file on my hosting, some virus asks for a password in a language i don’t speak.

    Hi Jonathan,
    There isn’t a built in way to add a search bar to your secondary nav. You can, however, add a search in your primary menu from Theme Options > Menu Settings.
    Which text do you want closer to the language switcher? The contact number?
    You can edit the language text with this css:

    .topbarmenu ul li a {
        font-size: 18px;
        font-family: lato;
        font-weight: 600;
    }

    Hope that helps!

    Hello Ben,

    I have been away from work on the website for some time.

    I am still not decided on the final layout of my home page:

    I used some code in Custom CSS Box to insert search widget and some text via visual editor.

    I wonder if there is a way to add the search widget in the secondary menu to the right of my other menu items rather than the topbar.

    Here is my CSS code, that I copied from others in the forum, so it may not be right:

    /* TOPBAR */

    .headerclass {
        padding: 25px;
    }

    .topbarmenu ul li a {
    padding: 10px 30px;
    font-size: 14px;
    }

    .topbarmenu ul li a {
        color: yellow;
    }

    #topbar ul.sf-menu > li > a:hover {
        color: #ffcc66;
    }

    /* TOPBAR SEARCH */

    #searchform {
            background-color: #1e73be;
    }

    #topbar-search input[type=text] {
            color: #ffffff;
            font-size: 14px;
    }

    Also, You had previously mentioned that you could move the text to the right to be closer to the language switcher in the topbar. Finally, can the language switcher text be the same size as the text that I want moved: Contact-Us (h5 style, strong).

    Thankyou.

    I’m using Polylang and Virtue Premium theme.

    My site is in French as a default language and english secondary – When I create the english version of my portfolio post, In the right hand side I have no category listed and cannot select a category.
    What that means then is I cannot create a grid that filter out only one category.

    Any help on this?

    I also experience a lot of Page not found issue – which I seem to fix randomly without really knowing why or how.

    I pass the link so you can view

    File Uploads upload_max_filesize Maximum allowed size for uploaded files. 8M
    main session.save_path Argument passed to save_handler. In the case of files, this is the path where data files are stored. Note: Windows users have to change this variable in order to use PHP’s session functions. As of PHP 4.0.1, you can define the path as: session.save_path = “N;/path” where N is an integer. Instead of storing all the session files in /path, what this will do is use subdirectories N-levels deep, and store the session data in those directories. This is useful if you or your OS have problems with lots of files in one directory, and is a more efficient layout for servers that handle lots of sessions. NOTE 1: PHP will not create this directory structure automatically. You can use the script in the ext/session dir for that purpose. NOTE 2: See the section on garbage collection below if you choose to use subdirectories for session storage /tmp

    I’ve updated the theme so you can go to theme options > language settings and place whatever you want into the clear selection text box.

    Okay, I understand that i do need to translate the Woocommerce theme into german. In order to do that you tell me to use Loco Translation.
    When i open Logo Translation, it looks like this.
    The Woocommerce for Germany have a 0% translation. So i have downloaded the Woocommerce germanized version.
    When I open the germanized version, the words i need to translate, are already translated, in this example proceed to checkout
    I hit save, sync, make sure the language from settings is set to german and still there is no succesfull translatations. It remains looking like this

    Can´t believe this is so difficult to me :0

    Hi Kevin

    1) I don’t understand the question. Maybe nothing. Because in previous versions I had normal translation and I had to do nothing…
    2) It’s a single language site – Russian
    3) obuvmart.ru

    My problem is, that there are some parts of my website, that i can´t translate into german. View cart, proceed to check out, add to cart, cancel order, and so on, are all on english. I´ve tried to install the Loco Translate plugin and set the language in settings to german, but the site doesn’t translate completely. There are some places that translate in to german, fx “sale” has been translated to “angebot” and the testimonials have been translated in to “Empfelungen”
    When i open the Loco Translater and go to insert the missing translations myself, on the different themes, the results doesn’t show up. The words remain untranslated.

    I tried to edit the wp-config.php file once, where i deleted “define(´WPLANG´, én_GB´);, which i thought might do the last translating work, but after i´ve deleted that file nothing have changed.

    Hi, my site is sunteez.ca. If you click on the Shop Now button, the items all show up instead of only showing the ones from the one language. I am using polylang, not sure if it’s a permalink issue. Can you please help. I don’t necessarily want to show the categories here, just all products in the language selected.
    When you click on the collections, it all works fine.
    Thanks,

    No, your just supposed to change the language in the settings > general. Not in any file.

    Yes, you won’t ever get another language working if your forcing an override there in your config.php file.

    That file is in the base folder for your site. If you don’t have permissions to edit then you need to contact your host. They can help you.

    I have the site set to english right now, because i work in english. But when I change the language still nothing appeard.
    So when i am in my file manager folder, and i search for WPLANG nothing turns up. I can find the wp-config.php file by searching, but i can´t open it, which is a problem when i have to delete the WPLANG from the wp-config. How do i “remove” this WPLANG?
    Is it just this marked area i should delete? photo

    #83438

    Hi,
    I get 404-errors for my translated pages. I use permalink with polylang and the language in the URl like domainname/en/

    Have I to modify my .htaccess? It looks like in the rewrite-section:

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index.php$ – [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
    </IfModule>

    Thank you in advance
    Michael

    “meaning that translators would think that these can be translated” – yes they would be able to be translated. We are talking about 3 strings in the theme that are exact from woocommerce… Thats it. It’s not like the theme has a ton of these. Not a lot of work to translate regardless.

    I think I am going to make then all virtue text domains, then add an option in the theme options > language settings just for “you may also like” since there are many english sites that would want to change that.

    Well first off looks like you have WPLANG in your config.. and you have the site set to english??? That would be why nothing is working. Please remove that from your wp-config file and set your language from the general settings.

    There is a big warning in your dashboard showing this as soon as you click on loco translate:
    Warning: WPLANG is deprecated and should be removed from wp-config.php
