February 17, 2016 at 10:34 am #81691Hey,
The site language should be set based on settings in wordpress > settings > general.
It doesn’t matter what files are in your languages folder if it’s not set to that language it shouldn’t be using them. If you site is then thats really odd.Can you send a login so I can see this?

February 16, 2016 at 11:40 pm #81624Hey Ben, I know how to translate the theme update safe because the po file goes actually into the child theme, which would work because each site has a different child theme. However, when you translate the po files from Woocommerce you musst put them into wp-content/languages in order to make them update safe and by doing that it would make EVERY site have the same language for Woocommerce…

In forum: Virtue ThemeFebruary 16, 2016 at 12:56 pm #81549Hi,
just wondering: is the theme translated in Swedish? I tried out setting up a multisite with two 2 sites in it and two different child themes. The first/general site is German, with german Woocommerce and the second one I chose Swedish in the general WordPress settings and also Sweden as the base country in Woocommerce. However, the theme and Woocommerce are in English now on the second site. If the theme does not translate in Swedish by default, how would I go on with the po files in this multisite environment where only one of the sites should have a different language?Thank you.
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Installing Polylang
Hi, I’d like to use Polylang, the multilanguage plugin in word press on my Virtue theme site, http://www.koreafluency.com.
The instructions to install it in WordPress include: “Take care that your theme must come with the corresponding .mo files (Polylang automatically downloads them when they are available for themes and plugins in this repository). If your theme is not internationalized yet, please refer to the codex or ask the theme author to internationalize it:
Is Virtue “internationalized?”
Thanks,
MonicaIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Menu links
Hey Giuseppe,
if I understand you correctly, I think you should do exactly what Ben and Hanna explained you above. But you should do also on tricky thing after that – when the menu is created and saved then you go there again, cancel # and save menu. Thats all.
Now I put down the explanation in Italian – I feel better with this language. Secondo me sei a casa con queste indicazioni.
In forum: Virtue ThemeHello,
Could you help me :
1. Center the footer column 4, widgets – all devices . I did it for the first widget, the other two (social & language widgets) I couldn’t.
2. Center Footer navigation menu – ( if possible ) only on mobiles.
3. The ” default sorting ” button is overlapping the grid and list view buttons, in mobile landscape mode.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Translating virtue carousel widget
February 13, 2016 at 9:58 am #81092I have translated each post (testimonial) in both languages. However I’m still struggling to show the right widgets on sidebars within pages.
Within a page is fine, as using the shortcode becomes part of the content that is available in both languages.

February 13, 2016 at 9:55 am #81091Yes, I have testimonials in both languages. So, I have add a widget that lets you do this using Site Origin Page Builder, but it still doesn’t seem to be working.
E.g. page with widget
http://www.truedoors.com/well-being/
E.g. page without widget
http://www.truedoors.com/nl/welzijn/Those 2 pages are related through translation and both have the same siderbar setting.

February 12, 2016 at 11:28 pm #81041If your using a carousel you would be wanting to show posts correct? As long as you have translated each post then wpml should change which post is shown based on the set language. This shouldn’t have anything to do with the string translation.

February 11, 2016 at 3:08 am #80744No, I am not. I tried it and it did not work properly and seems complicated. Is there a shortcode for the Virtue Testimonials?
Cannot this work in an easier quicker way like for other widget? I remember we had a quick fix for displaying images differently between one language and another,.
In forum: Virtue ThemeFebruary 10, 2016 at 9:00 pm #80716Hey,
I’m seeing that you are using “es-MX” as the language prefix. Have you created a es-MX.po and es-MX.mo file?Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeHello,
I am trying to change the language to Spanish (Mexico) in some parts of the theme, were words still appear in English. I searched around the forums and tried Loco Translate, but the text still appears in English, could you help me out with this?

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Change language of "featured products"
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi!
Im trying to change the text “featured products” on the home page, but I can’t find any option to do that. What can I do? I want to have it in Swedish. So, Im managing the home page through “theme options” –> “Home Layout” –> “Homepage Layout Manager” and there I choosed “Featured Products”. And now I want to change that text to “Utvalda Produkter” so my whole web page would be in Swedish.
What to do?
