In reply to: Full Width and Boxed Options
Hi Ben,
Thanks so much for always giving out a quick reply and solution. You’ve really clarified things for me and its amazing how simple they are. 😛
I’m not sure if I need to open a new topic because my next question relates to your last suggestion using the content area of the home page. What does that mean? How can I do that? Is it related to the Homepage layout manager?
Thank you in advance. 🙂
Sincerely,
Breezy
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Full Width and Boxed Options
September 27, 2013 at 8:36 am #649Hey Breezy,
The theme is responsive. Meaning if you chrome browser window is below 1200px wide it’s going to use the .container width at 940px. If it’s wider than 1200px it will use .container at 1170px.As for the boxed option not changing did you try refreshing that cache for firefox?
And the image menu: This feature wasn’t really designed for use with images that have text. It was meant for a background image that you would add text over by filling in the title area and description area. So you are right as you make your screen smaller it crops the right side to keep the height the same.
For what you are doing I would suggest using the content area of your home page. Adding columns and images in the columns. Then as you resize your browser it won’t crop the image just shrink it.
I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

September 26, 2013 at 10:32 am #641If you have hundreds of products I wouldn’t use the filter at the top of the page. You can turn if off in the theme options. You should use a menu. The filter only sorts through the products you have showing. I suggest a sidebar with a category menu or a drop-down with categories from your shop menu.

September 26, 2013 at 10:21 am #639Hey,
This seems to show up fine: http://shopneu.dressur-studien.de/produktkategorie/filme/And I can’t find a category page that shows two pages like you are talking about.
Can you send me a link to one with the issue?
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Shop issues
I have a similar problem. Some categorys work, some not. You can find the page here: http://shopneu.dressur-studien.de/shop/
The Category “Filme” does not display any product, although there are nine products in this category, e.g. this one:
http://shopneu.dressur-studien.de/shop/filme/uebungsprogramm-im-satell-eckart-meyners/
And, next problem: EveryCategory-Pages shows 2 Pages, even if there are only 6 Product. Clicking on page two shows all products.
I could really need a little bit help 😉

Ohh. Now I see the page specific SEO Options. I missed that one. I will use that option (as opposed to Yoast) until the option is available. I am looking forward to the new release of the theme.
Thanks again (I swear I’ll try and stop asking you questions on the forum and let you get back to work!)

September 24, 2013 at 3:37 pm #630Hey Andrew, disabling the theme seo options is going to be an option in the next updated. Been working none stop got a bunch of great things coming.
Just curious about your comment. Each page has titles and description boxes so you can have specific to the page stuff. Have you tried changing it there?
Anyway I’ll have an option for you to disable and use yoast this week.

I have a SEO plugin installed on my site, Yoast SEO, that I use for optimization purposes. How can I disable the SEO options (e.g. Title, Meta Description) with the Virtue Premium Theme options?
FYI – When I use the SEO options for Virtue Premium, it makes ALL page titles and meta descriptions equal to what I enter.
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Logo Image SIzing
September 23, 2013 at 10:25 am #599There is if you are using the left side layout. The logo has to fit into a third of the page on the left side. Which is 370px on large screens. But if you use the centered logo layout it can stretch the whole page.
Let me know if that helps,

Yes,
like in here http://oivaltaen.fi/ekspressiivinen-kuvataideterapia/
the submenu is fullwidth. And I don´t know how I could split words in different rows (like <BR> ) when I´m writing submenus.
And actually I think I need to split the page title also into two rows. Possible?– Milla

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Top Bar Dropdown Submenu
Hi, I really like the Virtue Theme. But I notice that the top bar submenu makes another line instead of the usual dropdown menu on hover. Can you please advice how this could be done? I would like it to look some thing like the top bar navigation of this page: *Login to see link (Portfolio>>) I really look forward your reply.

September 13, 2013 at 3:12 am #511Dropdown Menu for products. You need to set up variations for your products. You can do that by following this tutorial:
http://docs.woothemes.com/document/product-variations/
To add text to your slider you can add captions to your flex slider by giving each slide a title and description then enabling captions. All done on your slider settings tab of theme options.
If you want to add them to a revolution slider you will need to set that up on the revolution slider plugin page.
To add wording or image below the slider take a look at your homepage setting in the theme options there you can enable things and create cool image menus or add recent posts to your home page.
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Dropdown menu
Hello,
I really need your help on two issues.
How do I create a drop-down menu. On my Woo Commerce page I am selling rings with various sizes.
How do I add a drop down menu for customers to choose their ring size?
Also How can I put text on the sliding image on my home page?
One more question, please … How can I have wording or images below the slider on my home page, there is a good example on this on your template.
I really appreciate your assistance on this and this is somewhat urgent. Please respond.
