Hi
I am having an issue with the layout since changing over to premium.
I have set a right contact form up and added it directly to the page using the columns set up. On the free version of the theme my header all lined up neatly with the contact us boxes, now the header image seems to be smaller and not filling the space up as previous?
I have not changed anything other than upgrade to the premium theme.
Is there also a way that i can add a facebook icon to the secondary menu?
Many thanks
J
In forum: Virtue ThemeHey guys,
I would like to add category titles before the four column images displayed under each category. Selecting “show both categories and products” doesn’t do that. So it seems the best thing to do would be to display products only, and add the category title before the products.
We will have 3-4 categories, and a number of products under each category.
btw — the Post Type Reorder plugin seems to work well.
Thanks!

February 24, 2015 at 10:26 pm #32317Hi Hanna, I forgot to say that I also have 3 images menu item under kadence slider. I setup using pagebuilder in my home page together with the parallax. I want the 3 images stay under the kadence slider and the parallax will go under before the footer. Same as the demo 4.
Here’s the layout i want on homepage:
HEADER
KADENCE SLIDER
3 IMAGES MENU ITEM
SALE PRODUCTS
FEATURED PRODUCT
PALLAX IMAGE
FOOTERThank you!

One other question. I have added a Contact page link to the topbar navigation as well, but it is on the left looking very lonely with the View Cart Contents still over to the middle. I would like them both together to the right, but don’t know how to do that.
Also, the font size is much larger on the View Cart Contents than it is on the Contact link. I would like them to be the same size (preferably the smaller of the two sizes), but need help with how to do that. Thanks very much!

Update: I moved the javascript link to a footer widget and now the SHOW CART in the topbar works on all the pages. SO, unless you advise against putting the javascript link there, I think that will do the trick.
To get the href into the topbar, I added a widget to the topbar and included the SHOW CART href in that. I would like to drive the displayed link over to the right though and am not sure how to do that.

Hi Ben,
The shopping cart is from a knitting forum – Ravelry. Here is what it says on their instruction page.
“simply add the following line to the <head> section of your pages. If you are using WordPress or another content management system then adding to your normal page template should do the trick.
/* <script src=”http://js.ravelry.com/cart/2.0.js” type=”text/javascript”></script> */
Once you have this added, then you can add the a href links to either ADD TO CART or SHOW CART. I have the ADD TO CART links on each of my portfolio post pages, where each product is listed individually. I need to be able to place the SHOW CART prominently though. I was actually hoping to add it as a icon button on my Secondary Menu (That would really be great). Either that or to the far right on the topbar.
So I really have two issues. In blogger, I did add the javascript reference to my head section, but here I noticed that it got wiped out once I updated your template. So, I added it to each page in the body. I would love to have a better place for it though. Is there a way to put it in the head section and not have it wiped each time there is an upgrade?
I have the show cart sort of working now (doesn’t want to work on my home page though even though the java reference is on the home page) in the topbar, but don’t like it there or know how to change its placement.

a) You will still have the same slider on your page, but you need to use pagebuilder if you want any content to show above the slider. Then you can just add a revolution slider widget through pagebuilder and select the same slider. Does that make sense?
b) So, were you able to change the transition type?
c) There isn’t a contact template with a sidebar included in the theme. You would either need to edit the theme, or you can use contact plugin like this one- https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/ then just use a sidebar page template.Hannah

Hi Hannah,
Unfortunately this did not help.
a) Home Page – I have and want to keep my revolution slider. Above the slider I want to add the shop’s categories
b) I did and still have the settings>reading settings as static page
c) I am unable to add a sidebar to the contact pageThanks, Nan

Are those the settings that can be found on the theme options / homepage settings?if so i set it to the maximum the slider would let me, 4 columns 18 products well more than is showing it just repeats the same products slide after slide, unless it randomises and changes? if so i havnt notoced it doing so,

Hi Nan,
a) You would need to remove the slider from the homepage in theme options > slider settings. Just select none. Then in settings > reading set the front page display as a static page and select home as the front page. Then you can use page builder to add the product categories and just add a row with a slider underneath. https://www.kadencewp.com/using-page-builder-virtue-premium/
b) In the revolution slider settings you can set the transition type under Reset Options in the right sidebar.
c) I’m assuming that whatever plugin you’re using will display as a widget? In Appearance > Widgets just add the FB feed widget to your sidebar.Hope that helps!

Questions –
a) “Home page” How do I add shop categories as directly above the slider?
b) Can the revolution slider transition from slide to slide as a simple fade or other simple option rather than what I currently have set?
c) Contact Page – How do I move the FB feed to a side bar as it is on “about us” page.Thank you!

In forum: Virtue ThemeHello, i recently noticed my featured product carousel is showing a mere fraction of what i set it up to do and wondered if i was missing something obvious. I set up a new one on a new page to see if it was a page builder issue as im using the carousel widget in a pagebuilder row on the home page. http://www.fossilbeach.co.uk and that one displayed a different set of featured products but was still limiting the products to a small choice. Am i right in thinking designating a product as featured is just a matter of clicking the star in the product page?
thanks in advance Richard -
