    Hi Ben,
I would like to have a home page carousel that shows product in a particular category, i.e. “Winter Sale”. The “On Sale Carousel” is close, but it returns all on sale items. I just want to see a select set, and figured creating a specific product category for that set would be a good way to start. I see that I can just add individual product to the Custom Carousel, but was wondering if there was a more “automated” way to do that?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

1&2. I checked on WordPress forums and WooThemes forums but noone could really tell me what to do as it various from theme to theme.
My gallery pictures are really messy and next to each other without any system. I thought there might be a CSS code to force them into columns. I also tried to add a small icon 16x16px + a short sentence underneath each product title and right above the “Add to cart” on the shop page. I need one icon for each of my catagories..

    3. I also need one of my search bars made longer and place it underneath my primary menu bar. The search plugin is “YITH WooCommerce Ajax Search”

User will be posted privately if neeeded 🙂

This theme calls wp_head() and it’s in the exact place that it’s supposed to be per the wordpress theme development guidelines.

You are using caching (wp super cache) and so none of these plugins would work because your showing a cached paged. It’s not the theme.

Hello. Because my mobile version is heavy and messy, I want to hide or avoid showing some widgets when accessing from a mobile.

    My site: neobici.com

I have tried the following plugings:

Display Widgets: It works for hidding widgets in pages, but there is no option to hide widgets on mobile.
Dynamic Widget: The settings for this plugin says “wp_head() check: wp_head() is NOT called (at the most obvious place).” And the FAQ says it means the theme is not calling wp_head, so the plugin does not work
Pojo widget device: Does not work
    Restrict Widgets: does not work.

Do you recommend any other widget or am I missing any setting in the theme configuration?

    Thanks

    Hi Ben.
It’s a landing page plugin. has a PageBuilder functionality similar to PageBuilder within Virtue but very focused on creating landing pages and funnels for email and internet marketing. We’re going to use it for some of our marketing because it’s very user-friendly for our non technical staff.

The conflict is that the PageBuilder js does not work – clicking a link to edit a section just does nothing!

However, please don’t spend any time on this because I’ve realised that by far the simplest solution is to run a second install of WordPress specially for OptimizePress. This will eliminate the conflict and reduce the plugin load on the main ecommerce website.

It is suboptimal because I’d like to use some OptimizePress landing pages as part of the main site (they have various nice features), but it will work better overall, and the OptimizePress theme version (as opposed to the plugin version on my current install) integrates with WooCommerce.

    Thanks again

    1. Yes you can duplicated in the page template.
    2. Yes this can be done you just have to add a class to the second row of filters that marks it as the second row, then use css specific to that row.

    Hey,
Pagebuilder was recently updated. We are going to make a new video.

Check out the images below the video: https://www.kadencewp.com/using-page-builder-virtue-premium/

You just need to click edit row.

Alright. Maybe a feature request then?

So, let me ask as I’m thinking of a workaround. I know you can hide filter types from the filter displayed on the portfolio page, I’ve seen that discussed in the forum (such as hiding the “All” category from the filter). Would it then be possible to duplicate the filter on the page so its shown twice and then use the same technique to hide different types from each instance of the filter essentially creating two rows of the filter with different types.

    Questions are:

Is it possible to show the filter on the portfolio page twice – I would think so by somehow duplicating that code on the template?
Is it possible to hide filter types on one instance of the filter, and different types on the other instance of the filter – That sounds trickier to me.

    Thanks Ben!

    I have a related question.
How can I have more than 8 items in the Portfolio post Bottom Carousel? I want all my portfolio items to appear in this bottom page carousel, but only the first 8 are displayed. This is strange because I have chosen ‘Carousel items: All Portfolio Posts’ in the dropdown menu.

Looking forward to your help, thank you!

    1. The author is set by the wordpress users who created the post. You can reassign to a different user in the post settings. (click screen options in the top right corner if you don’t see the options for author)

    2. You can add this css:

    .widget_categories li a, .widget_archive li a, .widget_recent_entries li a, .widget_nav_menu li a, .widget_pages li a, .product-categories li a, .product-categories li a {
    display: inline-block;
    }

    3. Sure you can make multiple blog pages. and you can set a blog page to only show one parent category.

    4. You should try setting your summary to portrait image instead of landscape. Then they will all be squares and don’t have to be as large since your images now are not large enough to fill the space.

    5. Theme options > typography settings h1 font.

    Hey,
Ok I think I understand and the simple answer is you can’t do anything like that with the theme filter. It’s not created to be a massive menu thing. It only sorts what is visible on the page. So having multiple filters or two rows doesn’t really make sense for a filter that is only sorting 20 or 30 items tops if your wanting to load that large of a page (not really recommend).

    1. “Two rows of filters” – That isn’t possible with the built in theme filter. It was designed to be simple for simple portfolios. For a larger portfolio where you need child type etc. I suggest using a menu and turning the filter off.

    2. “I don’t understand the use of child portfolio types as there seems to be no distinction between child and parent portfolio types with regard to the filter that is displayed on a portfolio grid page.” – The ability to have child portfolio types has nothing to do with the filter. The filter is what it is. It adds each item to the page and allows a sort.

ok yea, tinymce styles are not like a front end though. It’s an editor so won’t be just a matter a loading some styles. There is a hook to load styles into the editor (which is different from the admin, the editor itself is a window.) But if you add those styles you won’t get anything that is coming from the theme options (like all the typography settings) and you won’t be loading the google fonts.

I want to make it clear what your thinking isn’t easily done. My suggestion would be to use page-builder and the live editor.

Sorry if I wasn’t specific enough. I don’t know how to reference what I’m trying to get info on other than describing it by it’s name which is PORTFOLIO TYPES and the filter shown on a portfolio page to filter portfolio items by their type. I don’t understand the use of child portfolio types as there seems to be no distinction between child and parent portfolio types with regard to the filter that is displayed on a portfolio grid page. Regardless of whether or not its a child or parent type, all types show together on the filter displayed on a portfolio page. I’d like to be able to organize filters by parent and child or if possible select multiple filter types on the page.

For example from your theme demo – http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/portfolio-four-column/

The filter displayed on the page shows (All, Design, Photography, Video) I’d like to be able to either select multiple filters at once, or have two rows of filters available where one might be all the parent portfolio types on one row (Design, Photography, etc.) and the other row be child types or some other category of types (Winter, Summer, Fall, etc.)

    Thanks.

    Hey,
If your using woocommerce then you can make the my-account page your login page. For example : http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/my-account/

Else if you want to customized the wordpress created page you would have to use a plugin. Like: https://wordpress.org/plugins/yith-custom-login/

The only other real option is to move “page title” to disabled. Add a widget area and then place <h1> tags in your widget area.

Yes correct on the languages folder

    hello,

Newbie here. Just purchased and installed latest version of virtue premium. I have been following the youtubee tutorial showing how to use page builder with Virtue Premium WordPress Theme. In the video, by Kadence Themes, it shows a way to set the row visual style to wide grey. For some unknown reason the button for changing the row visual style is not available to choose. Why is this ? What is the fix or a easy work-around.

    thanks.

    Hi,

Currently my search bars (both the one in the top-bar and the one in the shop/category pages) don’t work as I’d like them to – if I’m searching for a known product category then all is fine; it will come up with everything in the category. However, when I try to search for a product tag (e.g. “hedgehog”) then nothing comes up.

Is there a way to make the search bar search more than just the categories? It would be great if it could bring up product tags in the results, and even better if it could scan the entire product page itself and bring up any instance of the words being searched!

    Can this be done?

By the way, my website is http://www.handmadecrafthouse.co.uk

    Thanks

I’m having some problems with the images on the products on the home page. They are set to display Image and text overlay and the text with the price, overlaps.
Also, when i hover over the image, the select button is orange and when I hover over the select option button itself, it’s the primary color of the site. Is there an option to make it always primary color.
    This is the site.
    Thanks very much.
