In reply to: Space Allocation slider
January 16, 2015 at 4:29 pm #27764Yeah, I’m telling you for me there isn’t a space. It’s full width to the edge. I’m asking if you see that space in all browsers. I think it has to do with the pageload, maybe your on a slower internet speed and the js that site origin uses isn’t loading correctly.

January 16, 2015 at 2:54 pm #27750Hey,
Tagline, yes you can use css to hide on other pages.Same is true for the widget area in the header. Do you have something in that place on other pages through?
Can you post a link.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
A client needs me to add a phone number (which will need some html around it) in the header of one page of my site only. They want it to be to the right of the logo, but I’m wondering if maybe I could put it in the tagline. So two questions: can I make the tagline display in one page only, or can I put a visual editor widget beside the logo (which is on the left of my site) on one page only?In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Blog
January 16, 2015 at 2:26 pm #27744Hey,
In the settings > reading. Make sure you have not selected a “post page”. Just leave that on select.Ben

January 16, 2015 at 2:16 pm #27740Hey,
1. For starters let get any errors fixed, Right now your have some javascript loading supersized. It’s causing a js error.2. I defiantly see the space around your pagebuilder rows. Start by deactivating super-sized then post back here.
3. Fonts, something is causing your font css to not load, could be something you have at the end or your custom css box. Try removing that, then try deactivating plugins.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Top Bar wont include Tax
January 16, 2015 at 1:41 pm #27729That is standard, It has to do with how woocommerce calculates the cart total. It doesn’t add taxes until the cart page. There isn’t really anything I know of to change this. It’s even how the woocommerce cart widget works. It’s only on the cart page that you get the tax.

Can’t get the blog page side bar to go away and also can’t get the page to show the full post. Believe that I have checked all the appropriate boxes in the options.
Thanks.

Hi:
Just to be thorough, I inserted Ben’s code into the Parent Theme functions page and received the same parse error as the one generated from the Child Theme attempt. AND the same thing happened using the similar code from the WP Codex.
Appreciate any help…
Thanks, Ned

Hi Ben,
we had many times the situation that we didn’t see the same thing on a page.
Still having that problem and i really need to address it somehow,
because i need to know the real version of things in order to design any page. The problem persists on Firefox and Chrome, but my IE shows the pages like you see it.
I don’t like using IE and i am concerned that people looking at the page see the bad versions. One of the problems is: when i enable the SMOOTH SCROLL my rows get a withe margin left and right about 10px wide.
Full width stretched didn’t help. The latest problem is that i don’t see the right fonts in Firefox and Chrome.
Example: titles in the widgets are H2 Fugaz One, but i see Helvetica.
Inspecting the Title element in Firefox shows … Helvetica.
(tweakapix.com/test)I don’t know how that is possible. Reinstalled Firefox and Chrome a few times. Is there anything else i should try ?
Checked the site from a friend and he sees the ugly version too. Please point me in some direction,
Thank you,

How can I solve this issue
Thank YouIn forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: spacing between nav links
In my page LYFE
Somehow between the nav links, there’s spacing in between all links. I tried to find out if there’s any padding, margin or other spacing causing this but couldn’t find any.
Can you give me a hand or it’s just me overlooking at something again? Thanks
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: No post Title on Homepage
Hallo
we are trying to show the latest posts on the homepage but would like to show no title. Default is Lastest Posts. I can add there in the menu an other title but when i leave it blank, the default title “lastest posts” shows up. Is there a way to just leave it empty and to make the distance between the picture on the top smaller?
you can see the case at: http://www.bilderlager.chThanks

Hi Ben:
Thanks for your code. Yes, I am using a child theme.
I added a functions.php page with your code above. Dreamweaver indicated a syntax error on this line
if( has_excerpt() ) {
and I received this message upon browsing:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_IF, expecting T_NEW or T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or ‘$’ in /home/content/60/5316760/html/wordpress/wp-content/themes/curlytop_design/functions.php on line 4Thanks again, Ned

January 15, 2015 at 3:27 pm #27680Hey,
Not mad, you can see an example here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium-4/This is an option on the home page (slider settings) you can place the revolution or shortcode slider above the header.
Or you can do it using a featured page template.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Can I have fullwidth content section for homepage ?
January 15, 2015 at 3:21 pm #27679Hey,
You can use pagebuilder for this. Just make your home page a static page, then using pagebuilder you can add a row, make the row layout “full width”see here: https://www.kadencewp.com/using-page-builder-virtue-premium/

January 15, 2015 at 3:16 pm #27678Hey,
Doesn’t seem like your link was posted? Can you try again?I am assuming your wanting the testimonial grid page with a sidebar? You can do it but you have to use a shortcode and not the testimonial page template. Just switch to the fullwidth page template then add this shortcode:
[testimonial_posts columns="3" items="20"]Ben
