    You can define what shows on a category page either in the woocommerce settings > products or in the actual category settings. You can choose to have it just show products or both or just child categories,

    Hello,

    Is there any way to adjust the look of the blog items when they are placed on a page using the shortcode? I’m placing them on the portfolio pages of the site I am building and am looking to do the following:
    > Get rid of the author photo that is on the left of each blog post
    > Have each blog post snippet span the entire width of the page, or at least be centered

    For reference, one of the pages being built with this is here:

    Thanks!

    I cannot keep a gallery’s images to link to “none”. It always maintains “attachment page”.

    Reproducible steps:

    1. make a Virtue Gallery widget and set its type to carousel.
    2. confirm the carousel is working — by default you should be able to hover an image and clicking it will show an indexed lightbox
    3. go back to edit the widget, click “Add/Edit Gallery”
    4. In the “Gallery Settings” (to the right on a full-sized monitor), change the default Link To option to “none” (default was “attachment page”)
    5. Click “Update Gallery”
    6. Click “Done”
    7. Click “Update” to update the page

    Problem:

    8. View the page, hover an image (a pointer appears, which is already a danger sign), and click an image. It appears in the same lightbox as before
    9. Return to the edit view, “Add/Edit Gallery”, and note that it has reverted back to “attachment page”

    Note:

    You don’t actually have to go all the way out to see the problem; you can click “Update Gallery” and then “Add/Edit Gallery” again to see that it has reverted.

    Hey,

    You can turn the sticky header on in the theme options > main settings.
    You can hide the title area with this css:

    .page-id-22 .page-header {
    display: none;
    }

    I’m updating today with a fix for the parallax images. should keep theme from repeating. Yes you can change the padding around your call to action to make the image section larger. Right in the row styles.

    Hey,
    Yes, that is because the filter isn’t designed to be a site wide re-query and reload of that category. It only sorts what is on the page (hence the cool animation). So for larger stores it’s not something you want do use. If you really want to filter you can use a ajax filter which will re-query the site and then display all of that filtered attribute. see the shop page here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium-3/

    That plugin can be found here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/yith-woocommerce-ajax-navigation/

    It filters by attribute so if you want a product type filter you have to add the attribute to your products.

    So I managed to get the page built, thanks. The only exception was for these elements:
    •I want the header and secondary tab to be Sticky as in the original.
    •I want to get rid of the divider line and the “Home »” text above the image menu (top right). This wasnt on original page.
    •Lastly the parallax image in the content page is showing where the photo is being repeated. Can this be adjusted or top aligned. There is plenty of image below. And While I’m on the section. Can the over height be increased on this content page so that more of the photo show?

    Thanks again.

    Hi,

    I’ve noticed that the shop pagination doesn’t update after filtering (i.e. if there are 2 pages of products in the shop and you move to the 2nd and then filter by any category, then it doesn’t refresh the number of pages related to the amount of products after filtering).

    Thank you.

    I created a menu of product categories (there are many ) and I put it on the page through the widget ” Custom Menu ” , but in the view I have a list of categories and products related to but not a drop down menu which is what I would . This page makes me very long and I would like to insert a drop-down menu

    How can I do?

    Thanks a lot…

    Hey,
    You can’t add more to the category pages, If you need a visual editor then you would need to use the blog page template, and limit your page to show one category in the page settings. Then link to the page instead of the category.

    Hi Guys
    I am trying to configure my Virtue Premium theme Download Manager page on my site.
    I can get it all working but the layout is showing a large empty section at the top of page.
    I think its the area the theme uses for the carousel slider.
    When I investigate the page it calls this area Div ID “post-carousel-gallery”.
    I don’t really want a post-carousel-gallery there. Its just a page people can go and download images from my site.
    Can you tell me how to edit this section of the page that Download Manager creates without effecting the rest of my site. ?
    or if not why isn’t the normal theme slider showing ?

    I can send an image, let me know.

    Many Thanks

    Scott.

    Topic: Remove Grid

    #21959

    How to remove small mini white grid on the revolution slider (Slide is on the Homepage)

    #21950

    We are in the final stages of building a website incorporating a WooCommerce online store for a cosmetics retailer, but have come across a problem that we haven’t been able to resolve, and don’t know if its a Virtue theme problem, a WooCommerce problem, an import plugin problem, or something else.

    Everything is in place and working fine except that when we do a bulk import of product data including a specified category for each product, the system won’t recognise the category.

    If we load product data (including product images as featured images) individually using the normal “add new” facility, we achieve what is required, namely:

    1. Product details (including featured image) are correctly displayed on –
    • the Product page,
    • the Home page under Recent Product Additions,
    • the relevant category page for the product’s particular category

    2. A Category image and the number of products in that category are correctly displayed on –
    • the Home page under the subheading e-Store Product Categories (for which we use the shortcode [product_categories parent=”0″]
    • the Product Categories page (for which we also use the shortcode [product_categories parent=”0″]

    However, if we load the product data (including the product images as featured images) by way of csv file import using WooCommerce CSV Import by Allaerd Mensonides version 2.0.8, everything in 1 above displays correctly, but the category image and the number of products in that category (i.e. everything in 2 above) do not display at all, even though the backend for the product page shows the correct category ticked. Further, in the backend under categories, the “count” shown is zero for the imported product.

    Surprisingly, to us, if we delete the featured image for the product then load it again manually, the problem resolves itself and everything displays correctly.

    We are using the Virtue Theme for the website.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks to both of you – you are right – leaving the “search results” sidebar setting blank removed the sidebar but not the space. However Ben’s CSS hack works great!
    Now is there any way to limit the results to either 9 or 12 so I don’t always have one hanging at the bottom of the page?

    Well the link your pointing to is a “post page”, and if you want an image to link to a post page then you have to create that page. And you can have the masonry style gallery of your portfolio page. There is a setting for it right in the page options.

    Ben

    #21940

    ah ok, so I would have to make a new page for every image ….
    But you are right I have got a blog post with about 10 images. This post will be updated regularly, so it will have more and more images.
    This wordpress gallery masonry would look nice – the problem is that I need to make short desrciptions which I would lake to place on the right of the enlarged images (like this http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/portfolio/coffee/ )
    It would be perfect to combine it somehow.

    #21937

    ok, I’m confused then. I though you wanted a gallery in a post. If you want images to link to pages with text then the portfolio what does that. You can set up the portfolio to be masonry layout.

    Actually removing the space for a sidebar will require a custom function. you would need to place in a child themes functions file:

    add_filter('kadence_display_sidebar', 'kad_sidebar_on_search_page');
    function kad_sidebar_on_search_page($sidebar) {
    if (is_search()) {
        return false;
      }
      return $sidebar;
    }

    or you can do a css hack like this:

    body.search-results .main {
        width: 100%;
        float: none;
    }

    body.search-results .kad-sidebar {
        display:none;
    }

    1. You can choose a fullwidth page template for pages. And for the blog page you can select right in the page settings if you want full width.

    2.

    .home-widget-box h3 {
    text-align: center;
    }

    3. you can add this:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 800px) {
    #topbar {
    height: 90px;
    }
    }
