Topic: Single Page Won't Scroll
I have a page called Media that won’t scroll. *Login to see link
Below the Denver Post section and picture, there is an additional section titled Fox 31 – Denver Feature with a couple of lines of text and 2 video scripts. None of this is visible.
It’s set up using the page builder on the default template. I have other pages set up like this that I don’t have any problems with. In fact, this page used to work, but now it doesn’t. I don’t have the Smooth Scroll enabled. I’m not sure what the problem is. Can you please help?

Hi Ben
I hadnt been checking individual posts, you’re right they’re there! I was expecting the share buttons to appear in the pages as well, but had not checked the posts. Thankyou. I didnt know to clear the supercache after each change, so thanks for that as well. I have also worked out how to show the share buttons in the pages as well, that does seem to require the widget. Ao all sorted, thanks very much for your patience 🙂Joanne
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Best way to add a custom button?
October 8, 2014 at 3:26 pm #19379Hey,
1. you don’t have user created presets. The preset is your primary color and secondairy color set in the theme options > basic styling. If you want to have the same link and title you can just copy the shortcode.2. “possible later to bulk edit the shape, color or text of the button without having to go page by page.”
You can use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/insert-html-snippet/
Which will give you a html block where you can add your button, then you can call that button into any page using the plugin shortcode. So now if you want to change that button html you can do it in one place.3. “One bad thing of your Virthue Shortcode, is that the buttons don’t have hoover color, they keep same color when the mouse is on top or not.”
As of the lasted theme update you can set the hover color for the shortcode button. 🙂Ben

Hi Ben,
I’m facing the same problem, but unfortunately the CSS adjustment posted above doesn’t work for my site. I would like the orange buttuons which appear when hovering over a product (casino in this case) to have a different color.
The product page is: http://www.247casinobonus.nl/online-casino-overzicht/
Hope you can help me out.

RoyIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Page Builder with Visual Editor work together?
In forum: Virtue ThemeI am starting to learn how to use the plugin Page Builder. I am wondering if there is a way to add content to one page using Page Editor, and also using Visual Editor on the same page. For example the top part of the page could be some text or formatting using Page Builder, and the middle or button of the page could have some text entered and formatted using Visual Editor. Is this possible? or you can not mix them in the same page?
Thanks!
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben and Hannah,
I am very happy with Virtue Premium. It was totally worth it to upgrade. The free version is also very nice.I would like to have a custom button to post on several pages with a text like “Add to Cart” or “Order”, to use in about about 50 pages in my website, this button will link to another website, I am NOT using Woocomerce. I want to ask Kadence advice on the best way to do it, especially to have a button that I can bulk modify in the future in the whole website without editing page by page. I know that I can use VIRTUE SHORTCODES to create a button, but the problem with Virtue Shortcodes is that is that I need to manually create the button every time (you don’t have user created presets), and also I don’t know if is possible later to bulk edit the shape, color or text of the button without having to go page by page. One bad thing of your Virthue Shortcode, is that the buttons don’t have hoover color, they keep same color when the mouse is on top or not.
I assume that the best way to do it is with some custom CSS class for a specific custom button. If that is the best way to do it, can I just add my custom CSS to theme options -> advance settings -> Custom CSS.
Also if that is the case, if you can be so kind to please tell me what code to add a button.
Here is an example of a green button I like. The official wordpress virtue theme page, the green button in the button right of the page: “View support forum”Thank you in advance for your time!

You could use something like the cyclone slider for this. Or really any slider that uses a shortcode. Then just paste the shortcode into the bottom of your page.
Here’s a tutorial that may help: https://www.kadencewp.com/slider-comparisons/Hannah

October 8, 2014 at 12:56 pm #19358Hey, It’s done with the info box widget. You can create a page, click on the pagebuilder tab, and click the prebuilt layout button in the top left corner of the pagebuilder area. Then choose example home and it will build that page so you can see how it’s done.

October 8, 2014 at 12:15 pm #19352You can set the columns in related products at the bottom of the theme options > shop settings page. If you set to 4 it will be the same as your home page.

October 8, 2014 at 12:08 pm #19349For the premium theme you don’t need “Virtue / Pinnacle ToolKit Version 2” It’s only for the free theme.
Jetpack has it’s own sharing buttons, have you made sure they are deactivated? That would by why you have a sharing page in your settings.
In the basic settings of Simple Share Buttons Adder if you have set up the “Location:” and made sure you have moved networks to the selected section, The last step is to clear your cache in super cache, Which I am assuming you know to do after every change in your site.
So when I look at a post on your site: http://www.houndsconnect.co.uk/judgement-in-the-dog-world/ I see share links above and below the text?? Where is it not working?

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: related products settings
Hi,
On my single page products (ex. *Login to see link I would like to change the way the images of the Related Products appear.
Where can I set a different width? I would like it to be the default width of catalog images, exactly like they do on the home page *Login to see link .
It seems that width:143.667px here :
<div class=”tcol-md-2 tcol-sm-3 tcol-xs-4 tcol-ss-6 maps-austria kad_product” style=”width: 143.667px;”>
is what I would like to change, but is defined for each element, and I do not know where …Also, where could I set to have a different number of products?

ChristianIn forum: Virtue ThemeHello Virtue Team! Here I am again with a question. I am doing a bilingual website and I am using a form (done with the Contact Form Builder Plugin) and it is placed on the primary sidebar (I added it on the widget section of the theme). The default language is English, but when I switch any page from English to French I would like that the form will also switch to the French version. It is not appropriate to have an French page content with an English form. I tried using the WPML plugin string tool, but the form or widget with the English form is not listed so I can do the translation. What can I do to solve this issue? I appreciate your answer on this issue.
PS: Ben from your team assisted me last week with a similar issue; which was switching the logo from English to French, by adding a little line of code to the wpml-config.xml file, I tried using it with this issue also, but I was not able to do it. The code was a follows:
<key name=”x1_virtue_logo_upload”>
<key name=”url” />
</key>
<key name=”x2_virtue_logo_upload”>
<key name=”url” />
</key>In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Installing simple share button adder
Ben, I’ve been into set-up as you suggested, when I first installed the plugin – I have been in and rechecked several times – I’ve chosen networks and position and text etc. Since your suggestions that something might be conflicting with it I have deleted shareaholic, which was already installed but deactivated. I’ve deleted the facebook like box that I had installed on the front page and still nothing appears. The plugins I have activated are
akismet,
Black Studio TinyMCE Widget,
Cyclone Slider Pro Version 2.8.1 ,
Enhanced Admin Bar with Codex Search, Version 2.0.5.3,
Jetpack by WordPress.com, Version 3.1.1,
Kadence Slider, Version 1.2 ,
Page Builder by SiteOrigin, Version 1.5.3 ,
Revolution Slider version 4.6.0,
Simple Share Buttons Adder, Version 4.8,
WordPress Importer
Version 0.6.1 | By wordpressdotorg,
WP Super CacheI also have Virtue / Pinnacle ToolKit Version 2.1 but its not activated and when I tried to activate I got a message I got a fatal errorcode – I don’t know if it should be activated? or if its relevant?
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare portfolio_post_init() (previously declared in /home/joafra3/houndsconnect.co.uk/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/lib/post-types.php:6) in /home/joafra3/houndsconnect.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/virtue-toolkit/post-types.php on line 58”
There is a ‘sharing’ option in settings, from an app called Publicize,, but that doesn’t appear to be associated with a plugin so assumed it was part of wordpress
Does any of that help identify how I can resolve?
Thankyou
Joanne http://www.houndsconnect.co.ukIn forum: Virtue ThemeHowdy,
I’ve been trying to get a similar image styling on the 3 column blog grid page as there is on the blog carousel. Here is my current blog grid page and desired blog carousel image styling (just scroll down on the homepage).
The blog carousel has done a great job at styling the featured image (centering the image, making it responsive to various window sizes and not stretching out the image). I’ve attempted some custom CSS for the blog grid page, but it doesn’t seem to be doing the trick. My blog grid page still isn’t great at being responsive to different windows as it will often stretch the images in an unusual way, and it doesn’t center the image so the bottom are pretty much always cutoff.
Is there a way to replicate how the blog carousel treats and styles featured images on the blog grid page?
Thanks!
Nic
Custom CSS for Blog Grid Page Images:
/*CREATES A MIN SIZE FOR BLOG GRID BOXES AND REMOVES BORDER*/
#kad-blog-grid .blog_item {
min-height: 500px;
max-height: 500px;
overflow: hidden;
border: none;
}/*CONTAINER FOR FEATURED IMAGES IN BLOG GRID*/
#kad-blog-grid .img-margin-center {
text-align: center;
vertical-align: middle;
display: block;
max-height: 250px;
min-height: 250px;
overflow: hidden;
}/*ADJUSTS FEATURED IMAGES IN BLOG GRID*/
#kad-blog-grid img.iconhover {
vertical-align: middle;
min-height: 50%;
max-height: 100%;
min-width: 100%;
position: relative;
border: 0;
}In forum: Virtue ThemeHi
I have read through a number of posts on this subject having searched for it however none of them answer exactly what I require.
My temp build site is *Login to see link but I don’t think you will see it as its behind godaddy’s hosting module.
So I will explain.
I have 3 column Virtue image menu items across the page – all looking good but I would like to add a border and perhaps round the corners slightly just to soften the impression.
Similarly with the feature image carousel the images could have the same applied to them.
So this will be done via CSS – where or how can I learn this skill.
Anyone who can provide the code for me to add to the custom CSS panel will receive all my thanks 🙂
