In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: more tag under Staff
hello together,
I’m just going to create a page for our coaches and use the function “staff”. The idea is to get a brief overview of the coach and the more function to get detail information of the coach (more Text, Gallery, …).
When I use the option “more”, it is not used and the full text is display.
Is it possible to show a custom page for each Staff?many thanks

1. That is your menu, which is not part of the theme options and not saved as part of the theme options. All you would have to do is go to your menus page and assign the menus you have created the the topbar menu area and the primary menu area.
Ok, got it working again now. Still strange, that I need to reassign the menu settings after changing to a (technically identical) child theme.
2. You don’t need this: @import url(“../virtue_premium/style.css”);
You can do it if you want just means your loading an empty css file so I don’t see why you would want to. The theme is set up to load all the css when a child theme loads, making so you don’t have to use the slowing @importThe official documentation at http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes says so 😉 Anyway, thanks for the pointer, I removed the @import now.

This is what my site’s front page looks with Virtue premium: https://seacloud.cc/f/9e6064056b/
This is what it looks like after enabling my Virtue child theme: https://seacloud.cc/f/263cc73986/You’ll notice that the menu at the top right site is now missing.
Also the link at the top left named “Mein Konto” (meaning “My account”) is now gone. How can I restore these settings after enabling my child theme? Is it simply a settings export before enabling the theme and then importing afterwards?
My child currently just consists of only these settings (but more customizations and templates are to come):
$ cat style.css /* Theme Name: XXX Child Theme Theme URI: https://bitbucket.org/XXX/child-theme Description: Diverse Anpassungen an Theme u.a. Author: XXX Author URI: https://www.XXX.de Template: virtue_premium Version: 0.0.1 Tags: virtue, child, theme Text Domain: XXX-child-theme */ @import url("../virtue_premium/style.css"); /* =Theme customization starts here -------------------------------------------------------------- */ /* XXX, 2014-04-12: Shop Header nicht anzeigen, wenn Shop gleich Startseite */ .home .page-header { display: none; } /* XXX, 2014-05-27: Sortierungsmenü auf Shop rechts oben nicht anzeigen */ .woocommerce-ordering { display: none; } /* XXX, 2014-05-27: "Anzeige: Alle 5 Ergebnisse" nicht anzeigen unterhalb der Shop-Überschrift */ .woocommerce-result-count { display: none; } /* XXX, 2014-05-27: Kreuz für Aus Warenkorb Entfernen soll schwarz sein */ .woocommerce table.cart a.remove, .woocommerce-page table.cart a.remove, .woocommerce #content table.cart a.remove, .woocommerce-page #content table.cart a.remove { color: black; }In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Sticky Header Lag on Mobile
Hey,
I have the Sticky header turned on and when I look at my website on an iphone and ipad and scroll down the sticky header has a little lag and has to catch up to the scrolling. Is there a way to fix that so when you scroll there isn’t a lag where it seems like the page almost has to reload for the sticky header to catch up.
Thank you for your help!

Thank you Ben,
The reason what a I want to filter is because we have different therapies and activities and I´d be easier for customers to chose just the kind of professional they are looking for.
It would be great if we can do it, if you could add this option, or tell me the php code if it isn´t very difficult…This is the example page: http://elcentrotecnicasvitales.es/?page_id=391
Thanks again!

August 27, 2014 at 12:21 pm #16077It’s not possible, at least the option isn’t built into the theme, You can create a staff page that only shows a certain category and that was more the point behind the category option. But I can consider adding an option for filtering. Can you give me an example of why you would want to use it?
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: FILTER THE STAFF
Hi,
I´d like to filter the staff members by category on staff grid page.
When I made each member´s page I assigned a category to all of them, but the page doesn´t show buttons o similar to select just the category you want. How can I do it? Is it possible?
Thanks!!!
In forum: Virtue ThemeTags are more versatile when attached to posts in concept. So categories can be further broken down. e.g. I have “photography” as a category but tags for portrait, kid portraits, family portraits, etc. If I had the shortcode for posts by tag, I could show latest posts for kid portraits on the correlating page. If shown from the category “portraits” …It would lump everything all together.
(going by the assumption that you use one category and multiple tags)

Thanx Ben. I got confused by the last picture in the Tutorial (https://www.kadencewp.com/creating-a-blog-page-with-virtue/) – Now I see it says “Home” and not “Blog”.
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi, I was wondering if there would be a way to add some navigation on the single testimonial pages, similar to how we have the navigation for the single portfolio pages.
Right now I have a testimonial grid page, and from there people can click “Read more” to go to the single testimonial page. However, once there, there’s no way to cycle thru all the different testimonials. Can we have something similar to the single portfolio pages, where there are left and right arrows that allow people to go to the next testimonial, and a grid button that lets people go back to the testimonial page?
Here’s a mockup of what I mean:
Thanks!

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben,
Stunningly beautiful and functional theme!I am having an issue on my home page with the Page Builder elements breaking apart. The cyclone Slider widget is stacked on top of a “text” widget where I have put in a Twitter feed with a custom graphic frame. These are meant to be stacked together. When the page width is increased for wider screens, these two stacked elements break apart. Would you take a look at my home page? Adjust the screen size/page width and you will see what I mean by “breaking apart.” Is there a way to keep these two elements together?

August 26, 2014 at 9:57 am #16011Hannah,
Thanks for your reply!
Actually I’d like to store the page titles in small-caps normally, but I’d like to show them in all-caps. In the menus, I can do in this way you suggest: I typed the title of menu item in all-caps. But in the page titles I have to change the CSS.
Anyway, I will use the code you suggest to make the changes.
Thanks! Obrigado!
Saúde!
m.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeThanks Hannah. Another questions:
1. Why in the section “Products on Sale” I don’t see any products while here are listed: http://www.animalshouse.it/shop/ ?
2. Take a look at my homepage: http://www.animalshouse.it/
Why I have this margin on top? http://cl.ly/image/3p472c1Y0n2d -
