Hi Ben,
me again. I would like to know if it’s possible to deactivate the Pin It button for the Photography page of my site, because I haven’t watermarked those photos and they are feeding from Instagram rather than being imported into Wp.
For all my own designs on the other pages, I really like the automatic PinIt button.

Oh thanks Hannah – but I was wondering how I get the URL for the portfolio types, ?? like what would the link be for my Watercolour portfolio type?
When I try and find out by using the filtered portfolio page and pressing watercolour, it doesn’t change from http://www.studiobricolaged.co.uk/surface-designs/

is it something to do with the slug?

I have several images on a page that I would like to open into the lightbox overlay when clicked. At this point, only one image opens with an X to close. Is there a way to have the five or so images available after one is clicked with forward and back nav?

It doesn’t seem to wrap it completely, have a look – http://artisanontario.ca/gucci-hand-series/
It just seems to use the image as if it were a large first letter.
It still looks a bit better then before though.

I have another question too – how do I change the font color of my custom menu in the sidebar widget please?
On my home page – right under the “search” on the sidebar I have a custom menu that says “Resources”, and Search resource List” but they are too dark. I just want the font to be white. http://artisanontario.ca/

Also following on from this, on my http://www.studiobricolaged.co.uk/surface-designs/ page the portfolio grid is slightly out of alignment in the second column (or the first depending on which way you look at it…

Also I am trying to get the last portfolio “doodle jewels” which was originally given a 0 as a page attribute, I want it to be in the top row or the first so I named it -5 but it is not moving from its bottom position. Is that because renumbering it to 0 means that there will no longer be a 0 for all the other portfolios to align themselves by?

Hi! So when you edit the icon menu item there’s a box near the bottom that says “link.” All you need to do is paste your desired URl into that. For instance, if you want to link to your shop page just paste this into the box: http://www.studiobricolaged.co.uk/shop/

My homepage portfolio carousel has images of differing heights in it, although I have made sure to crop all of them to the same width (800 px) when optimising images and uploading to portfolios, and I didn’t really check the heights or keep them all the same.
Is it possible to make them appear more square in this particular carousel? Without having to go back and resize anything??

Thanks for the quick response and the help Ben – got Contact form 7 and works great. As to tutorials I will give it some thought as I don’t want to just throw something against the wall just to respond. I guess MY biggest problem is wading through everything and trying to figure out what it does. Yes, everything has a name and a function, but if you are just learning you have no idea what some of them do. It would be great to have a description of the different elements that are in the page builder etc. that says what they do, not just their name. Of course that is not needed for everything – it’s pretty self explanatory what a slider is, and so on. If you already have this on the site and I just need to spend more time looking through the documentation then please let me know and also please accept my apology for saying you need better tutorials 🙂 Thanks again for a great theme!

That was what it was like in the php.ini that file they posted to my home folder… it was 200M, so I changed it to 400M.

In the default php.ini that was installed with MAMP on my local machine it’s set to:
memory_limit = 128M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (8MB)

Some progress…

Now they did something on the host and the “Not Found” page doesn’t come up anymore when trying to save the options, and it says it updated the options, but they revert to the default if they are way down the options list, like in the Misc Settings. I’m testing on the contact form email setting. This is now the same way it was behaving locally before I added “max_input_vars = 2000” to my local php.ini. Looks like they changed the name of php.ini to .php.ini, so maybe that helped and was why my changes weren’t doing anything. Still investigating…

Hey,
1. It’s not a built in option to have more then 18 but you can edit the template file. I don’t really recommend it, If you want to show that many items then you might be better off using the portfolio grid instead of the carousel so they are visible.

You can’t have 2 rows of the home portfolio carousel. You would have to use pagebuilder and the carousel widget instead.

2. In the portfolio page you can set the order to “menu order” then you can set each portfolio post with a “page attribute” : order number. The lowest number appears first and you can use negative numbers to -5 would appear before 0

Ben,

Thank you for the edit! That was really helpful. I was just wondering if I could incorporate any of the other options provided by Magnific Popup. I was looking at his page, and there are a great deal of things that it can do. I wasn’t sure if I could simply build pages like his examples and have it work or not.
