Hello,
The Portfolio links are no longer working on my theme. I can not even go into the editor for the portfolios and “view page” as it gives me the error
“This webpage has a redirect loop”
I am actually having this issue. Portfolio links not working (was working last night) http://www.karmynskuisine.com (they are on home page)
.postedintop i, .postauthortop i{
font-size: 18px;
}
So to be clear you want the latest posts to have the same meta as the blog page?
copy templates/home/blog-home.php into your child theme using the same folder structure.
if you are using the one column layout use templates/home/blog-home-onecolumn.php
remove lines 57-72
replace with :
<?php get_template_part('templates/entry', 'meta-subhead'); ?>
Ben
Hey.
1. The mouse over is how the home page is set up, makes all the meta data show on tooltip. If you don’t like it or want to change it would have have to change the template file. How comfortable are you with editing code?
2. meaning make it larger? you can add this:
.postcommentscount i {
font-size: 18px;
}
3. not without some adding code, back to the first question how comfortable are you with code? do you know how a child theme works?
Ben
yes you can always download the theme from your my-account page.

Hi Ben, I’m trying to get the portfolio carousel below the slider on my home page to be wider, matching the slider width of 1400 px. Tried a few things in CSS I’ve seen here in the posts to no avail… if I set the optional height in Home Portolio Carousel settings the images get taller of course but it doesn’t affect the width… is there a way to reset the width of the carousel, and the images adjust accordingly whether there are three, or four across?

Thanks for all the help, loving the theme!
Hi Ben,
i have a few questions regarding the small comment-icon above a blog post, that is indicating the number of comments:
Is it possible
1. to show the number of given comments on the main page in the latest blog posts (as it works on a blog post page)? I just get a number with a mouse over
2. to increase the icon for the comments?
3. can the icon be colored if the number of comments is > 0?
p.s. excuse my english 🙂
p.s.s. thanks for the great theme 🙂
Regards
Just need to use a different tool, the theme isotope filter is only designed to arrange, hide and show whats is on the page. It doesn’t run a re-query of the site for all the products in that category. You need an ajax filer for that. The isotope filter is cool because of the animation (ajax filters can’t do that kind of animation) but it wasn’t designed for large stores.
For large stores I suggest using a category navigation not a filter. But if you are set on using a filter you can use this ajax filter (https://wordpress.org/plugins/yith-woocommerce-ajax-navigation/)
There is an example here in the sidebar: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium-3/shop/
Now considering you only have 19 products you can just show all 19 on your shop page and then use the isotope filter.

I would like to change the “user icon” that is beside each testimonial with the photo of the person. I can’t see where to change this on the Testimonial pages.
Dear Ben,
Working on my site, and discovered this:
After listing many PRODUCTS and set up a SHOP gallery with categories listed at the top.
When click on CATEGORY name, products rearrange accordingly – BUT only the products that were on that page. So the page will only display some of the category items. Is it possible that Virtue could find all the category items from the whole product list and display those? You can see the effect here: *Login to see link
Is there a setting to fix this problem?
Hi,
when I use columns in blogtext:
*Login to see link
it removes all summary texts:
*Login to see link
In other pages summary texts show fine:
*Login to see link
What to do?

Hi Ben,
I found some detail which could be a little bit confusing for the customer.
After ordering something you have a summary of you order and also the payment informations. That is where you can see bank informations if you choose bank transfer as payment method.
Here it says: “account holder” – “bank name”
It’s not sperated like: Bank: bank name
Account holder: Name of the account holder
Is it possible to change it?
I use the latest version of the Virtue Premium theme. My website is http://www.frankgeenen.nl. It is the image slider directly at the top of the home-page.
The slider that i configured is: Theme options > Slider settings > Choose a Home Image Slider. I choose ”Latest Posts”
When I select transition type: fade, it works like it should be. The last blog-post will be the first one to see in the image slider, and so on.
But when I select transition type: slide, the blog posts will show in a random way in the image slider.
Can you tell me how to exclude the top menu item being a hyperlink?de top page in a menu from being..clude top page in a menu from being..xclude top page in a menu from being..
Hello,
I upgraded my Virtue-theme from free to premium. The weird thing is that ”slides” in my home page slider aren’t ordered in date when using the transition type: slide. When I turn the transition type to fade, the slides will be correctly ordered in date. When I turn back to my free Virtue-theme it doesn’t seem to have this problem (with the same settings).
Is this a bug, or can I do something about it?
Greetings,
Frank
Hi Ben,
as I click on “more informations” on a product page, the page automatically scrolls a little bit upwards. I like that feature, but it scrolls too far. Maybe it’s because I’m using the sticky header? Do you have a solution for that issue?
Thanks, Martin
<?php echo do_shortcode(get_the_excerpt()); ?> is this correct syntax?
virtue_premium/templates/content-fourgrid.php correct page?
line 181?
replace <?php the_excerpt(); ?> ?
am I close?
for this page here:
*Login to see link pass: nx
The purpose is to get this clean formatting on the videos in the archive page:
*Login to see link this will really tidy up the videos thumb on an archive
FYI: I’m using:
*Login to see link to get the result. Here’s another example with the same shortcode to clean up an archive page:
*Login to see link The shortcode strips all the unnecessary “stuff” from the youtube player
Hey Ben,
Still having problems sorting product. Per your questions above:
1. When I click sort in the admin, yes the products are in the correct order (after I drag them to where I want).
2. Yes, I have cleared cache.
3. No, no extension plugins for woocommerce.
4. This one was interesting. At first the product images were not the same height, and I could see those odd sized ones were part of the problem. So I adjusted all to the same size (600×600) which is how they are now. That helped, but some products still won’t go where I want (but show up correct in the admin). I also reduced the min. title height in shop settings (to 12).
Here’s an example of a problem page:
http://www.outdoornj.com/product-category/women/women-shoes/
in the admin panel, the Kamik women’s Brooklyn product is after the Kamik Olivia, and the Keen Whisper sandal and Clearwater CNX sandal are next to ea. other.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
oh one thing right away disable jetpack photon, it’s killing your page load.
Ben
Hey April,
Seems that some times people are seeing the “you have to login” because of some page caching where you would post a new topic. The trick is to try refreshing the main forum page.
Whats the link again to your site?
1. That can happen if you are using images that are too small. Check your product image sizes.
2. The sale box should have it’s own background (the same color as the primary color for the site. is the primary color for your site white?)
You can add this to make the color whatever you want for the background:
.woocommerce span.onsale, span.onsale {
background:#444;
}
3. I need to see this to know better, are you using w3 total cache?
Ben
