Not really a perfect way but here are your options,
1. Create a portfolio type include all the items you want to show on the home page and in the portfolio carousel settings select that category to show.
2. Order your items how you want them using the page attributes. lowest being first (you can use negative numbers) keeping the items you don’t want to show on the home page as higher numbers. Say you have 8 items and you only want to show 6 make sure the top six in order are the ones you want then add the carousel and make sure it only shows 6 items and that it’s ordered by menu order.

Ok using the WP Menu solved my issue.

One more question regarding ML:
I am using the Contact Template on one page.
How can I change the Contact form Headings and Button text using String translation?

Assign a menu to the topbar navigation location on the menus page of wordpress admin

As for the cart title in the theme options language settings there is a place to change the your cart text, edit that and see if the string shows up in wpml.

So upgrading to latest theme resolved the “product- widget problem” thanks. But now the menu item “Theme Options” are not available. When clicking any of the theme options i just get a blank page. The url it is trying to open is techworkwear.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=kad_options&tab=0

Topic: Featured Images Alignment

Hi Ben,

I’m having a problem with Featured Images and was hoping you can help. I’ve gone through all of the WordPress docs I could find but couldn’t find anything on this.

Is there a way to have images, larger than the allotted space, align to the left or right versus the center on the home page?

My site is http://www.pressed4fun.com and if you scroll down to Latest from our Blog you can see what I’m talking about on the first post. The image size is actually 600×400 so it gets cropped under the view here. I don’t want to make it smaller – I just want it to top left align instead.

One other thing – any idea why Read More is showing twice in that section?

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Hey,
So you should start with updating if you are going to update woocommmerce it’s very important that you update the theme, plus there is a lot of new great features: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#premium_update

Once you update just save your setting and your page should look a lot better.

As for the toolkit, It’s not for the premium theme. You don’t need nor want to use it so you can delete.

Yea if you use specific body class for those pages and add the css to your custom css box in the theme options. Something like this:

Hi Ben,

When I create a product page the bottom of such page is always populated with the widgets “search”, “pages”, “Archive” and “Categories” See ( *Login to see link
Installation: WP – 3.8.1 , VPremium 1.7.0, tested first with WooC… 2.14 and today with the new 2.15

Also when I try to activate Virtue Toolkit I get this error. Tried to uninstall and re-install but same result. :
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare portfolio_post_init() (previously declared in /home/techhcrh/public_html/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/lib/post-types.php:6) in /home/techhcrh/public_html/wp-content/plugins/virtue-toolkit/post-types.php on line 58

Yeah ok so the current theme version is 2.2.2 which is the issue. A lot changed with woocommerce over the last majoir update so I’ve had to do some work to keep up and thus all the updates to 2.2.2

Until version 2.2.0 there were no update notices in wordpress. But in a recent update I added an api system that now has a updater which works right in wordpress. It pretty great but you still have to manually update to version 2.2.2 then any future updates you will see in the wordpress admin.

So just click on the my-account button on the top left of this page and you can download the latest version.

I searched for codes in the forum but couldn’t find the right one(s). I have three icon menu boxes on the homepage, enabled in Home Layout. On hover they turn to my main accent color as they should. Otherwise they’re light grey. How can I change the light grey color to something else? With the hover effect remaining, just replacing the grey with something else?

I’m using the revolution slider on the homepage. It works fine as long as I stay on the page. If I leave the page to go to another website page and then return, I have a large blank area where the slider should be. Can this be turned off?

i am using Primume, my website url is *Login to see link .
in my shop page , in any product ther is 3 tabs, one of them is Additional Information.
onse you go in that tab you will see this script errore :
Notice: Woocommerce->attribute_label is deprecated since version 2.1! Use wc_attribute_label instead. in /home1/nadlanil/public_html/orders/north/wp-…..

how can i fix that script.

I am having trouble getting tax to show in the shop on the checkout page. It shows when I am logged into WP, but not when logged out or public. Tax and tax calculations are enabled. Any thoughts?

Your menu has padding because of the button style, you want that to go away? add this to your custom css box in the theme options, advanced settings:

```
As for the home page titles lie featured products you can left align with this:

the sticky header is in the main settings, of the theme options, bottom of the page.

As for left aligned can you post a link so I can see what you mean? are you using the boxed layout?
