ahh, so the portfolio carousel slider is like the one for the home page, it allows you to have different aspect ratios with your photos but it’s only set up to show one at a time… hmm I probably could add that post carousel slider to the portfolio post though. I’ll look into adding it in the next version.

You can do this now using the gallery and adding type=carousel to it like here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/wordpress-gallery/

But it’s not quite the same and won’t be full width.

Ok thanks! Now I see the images, but it’s working like a regular slider with one photo sliding in at a time. Can the carousel slider for the portfolio posts look like the one here under a post page or am I mistaken? http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium-3/image-carousel-post/

Hi Ben,

Hey the slider area is full width so you can’t bring it down, what you need to do is build your slider with the revolution slider or the cyclone slider, then add the shortcode to the top of your content area, since thats where you want it. Then make the home page slider none in the theme options.

just to confirm writing the “page class” into the css box will require the page name e.g ?page_id=395 to be written as a class e.g. .page-id-395 and each page element that needs to be controlled always needs to be located by the specific page otherwise the css code will apply to the whole site.

a) For example, is this a correct alternative method to hide the header logo, primary and secondary navigation on a specified page, without affecting menus on other pages of the site?
.page-id-395 .kad-header-left, .page-id-395 .kad-header-right, .page-id-395 .navclass {
display:none;
}

b) Does the same principle apply to portfolio pages – what is the specific class for a portfolio page? e.g. ?portfolio=controlling-portfolio-page-logo-menu-display

But they are not shown in the product page just in the cart.
It’s not a good solution.
I let the related product till I don’t find a better and fast solution

Hi Ben,

I mean if I have 10 videos about Los Angeles I’d like to show those in my single Los Angeles product and not New York videos just because they are tour video too.

I haven’t find a realted documentation in woocommerce site pages.

Ok to get more products to show on your shop page you can set the “How many products per page” in the theme options shop settings.

So if you have your gravatar set up with the email have you check to make sure the author email is the same?

Hi Ben i am trying to show all the products i have on a shop page. I could not find a link to show instructions to set up a downloadable product so thats where i am going wrong, sorry. When adding products i uploaded them to my server and added the link in the add products page. I went to the woocommerce link that you sent to me but as i say i could not find the setup instructions for the virtue theme.

1. The shortcode [carousel type=post] is for your latest blog posts. what are you trying to do?

2. Have you gone through instructions on setting up a downloadable product? Do you have emails working from your site? Does the my-account page show the download link?

it happened again – suddenly my custom settings in Theme options were reseted to default, the same thing that I reported a few days ago. Now I was able to trace my actions: I created a new custom sidebar in Misc settings and saved my changes. The browser started to refresh but halted, in the url field there was /wp-admin/options.php – I waited for a minute or so and faced a 500 system error. Refreshed the browser and landed to /wp-admin/options.php view – went back to Theme options and goosh all my custom tweaks were reseted. I made all the changes back (had a back up but to enough recent).

I was away for an hour and came back, went to Misc settings, saved though I had not made any changes and it froze again – the same happened again! Now I’m again in default mode e.g. top bar visible (custom no top bar), custom colours from menus gone, font tweaks reseted, shop page 4 columns (custom 5), google id gone, favicon gone, language settings gone etc

You mentioned that similar may happen when there are two admin views open in browser and you jump from one to another – that is not the case here.

Any idea what might be causing this? Need to get rid of this asap, launching the store on Monday…

Hello I am almost done setting up my site but i have a couple of questions to complete. I put the shortcode on my shop page *Login to see link [carousel type=post] and it is pulling the products ok but it also is pulling in my last blogs posts? I tested the buy links and it went through paypal fine but i did not get any download link to the actual product? you sent me to this link previously *Login to see link but the virtue theme is not listed in any of their theme set up instructions? not sure what to do here…

The last thing i need clarification on is my gravatar. I see the theme uses an author box but is it possible with this theme to use my own gravatar? I hired a developer to write a plug-in for my site and it is basically some custom pages that use the full-width template. The site is primarily used on a mobile device. Does he need to format the plug-in for the various mobile devices, or is it already built into your site? Thanks!
