    I just built a new site (beverleycigarstore.com) for a client. The site worked fine until I pointed the nameservers from Weebly to Siteground (client wanted to keep his old site up until the new one was ready to launch). Now the mobile view is all sorts of messed up, but the desktop looks great. I’ve reached out to both Siteground and Kadence support and they each point the finger to the other. Can anyone help?
    Issues with Mobile view (tested on both Android and iPhone)
    – it removed the background image behind the welcome message on the home page “The Beverley Cigar Store in historic, downtown Staunton, Virginia.” First, it was a default image from the demo content, and when I removed that it’s now just a plain gray background. Why is it not using the background image I set up?
    – “Shop Popular Categories” on the home page is overlapping on top of one another.
    – The image behind the signup form “Just For You” is entirely blurry.
    – removed the fonts I uploaded and reverted back to default fonts (fonts are supposed to be italiana and italianno)
    Kadence support said that there are 404 errors meaning the images and fonts are not being found because it is still using the source of my the old host. Siteground said that it has to do with the theme development and that it’s not optimized for mobile…Basically, I’m not sure where to go. Thank you for any advice!

    Hello,

    I would like to set the home page with a cover image (header background image), with text other than the page title on the front page; however, I would like the header on the other pages to show the page title. Are there settings in the theme to have a home page background image (such as the featured image) with text and color overlay other than the home page title? And to have other pages show the page title, featured image, and background overlay?

    When I turn off “Show page title” in the customizer, I no longer see an option to have any text and color overlay the featured image. How do you recommend setting up the front page cover/header (using Kadence Theme/Blocks/Slider) so that there is an image with text/button/color overlay of my chossing on the front page and also show the page title, featured image, and header background color on the other pages using the customizer?

    Can you please recommend one or two options? I don’t see how this can be done using settings in the theme customizer.

    Hello!

    I have a few questions to you.

    1. I cannot see all parent pages in the drop down menu in page attributes. I need to assign a parent page, but its not available. I will send a follow up private message with screenshot and the url.

    2. Is there a benefit of switching to the new Kadence theme? Will there be new features unavailable in Virtue? Will you keep adding same functionality to Virtue? If its best to switch, will it break the website layout/settings a lot or it will be a relatively easy switch?

    3. Can you recommend a developer who is familiar with the theme. I need to implement one element (flag icons to switch between languages that will redirect to the translated page) and help me set it up correctly.

    Thank you!

    Hi Nicolae,
    Apologies for the delay!

    1. Looks like you were able to work this out?

    2. Do you mean a different header image? You can adjust that from the backend of the specific post or page.

    Kindly,
    Hannah

    Hello,

    Thank you for giving us the page URL.

    There is no built-in option to do this. What you can do is to add custom CSS code in Customizer > Additional CSS, just like one of the members of our Facebook group contributed. This is her custom CSS code:

    .drawer-nav-drop-wrap .drawer-sub-toggle {
      position: absolute !important;
      display: inline !important;
      width: 100% !important;
      padding: 1.2em 0.2em 1.2em 90% !important;
      border-left:0 !important;
    }

    I tried applying it on your website using the dev tools and it should work.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind Regards,
    Karla

    Hello,

    Thank you for reaching out to us and apologies for the delay in getting back to you!

    If you’re referring to the Kadence Theme Pro’s Hooked Elements, you’ll need to set the element’s Display Settings to Show On Front Page, Single Products, Products Archives, and/or Category Archives – https://share.getcloudapp.com/7KubnDvp. For more information regarding the Hooked Elements, you can refer to this tutorial – https://kadence-theme.com/knowledge-base/pro-addon/how-to-use-element-hooks/.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind Regards,
    Karla

    Hi Julian,
    Thanks for reaching out, and apologies for the delay! What exactly do you mean by attachment pages? I’m seeing your videos display correctly on your videos page.
    Thanks in advance, and sorry for misunderstanding.

    Kindly,
    Hannah

    ok, I did a ton of testing to try and recreate and figure this out. If I use incognito mode and force the browser to use slow 2g internet speeds I could recreate about half the time. That was enough for me to figure out what’s happening.

    The issue has to do with the logo image. While the browser is building out the page with lightspeed the image size is initially pulled from the meta settings, in your case you are using an image that is 1134×400. That means the logo is loading initially as a placeholder much larger, your max width keeps the width to 200 but the height is still initially 400. This all happens at the early stages of the load, I can see this by using a console log to output the “rendered” size of your logo.

    In the end I think my scripts to setup the sticky shrinking header are loading too early so I’m going to experiment with delaying them.

    So far I think this might be the best option to prevent this edge case.

    I am getting this message on nearly every page of my site after updating my version of WordPress today. Any assistance in fixing it would be much appreciated. I have requested my site be restored to a backup that was made before the update. Currently the error still exists.

    In addition, what is typical when using sliders on desktop? I have seen it where mobile pages look entirely different that the desktop version where it is evident there is a slider being used on desktop. Further, it seems mobile pages, at least front pages, are very much different than the desktop versions. For example, on many mobile pages, the sliders have no text or buttons and those appear in a row underneath the cover image. However, those same rows may be absent on the desktop version. I appreciate your time, thank you.

    Hello Anette,

    Just to confirm, where do you want to place the modal? If you’re planning to add it to a group of pages and a certain position, you can use the Kadence Theme Pro’s Hooked Elements feature. If you create an element, you can use the Kadence blocks for the content and select the Placement and Display rules on the Elements Settings.

    Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you further.

    Regards,
    Karla
