Hi guys,
I purchased the lifetime membership this week and so far my experience has been very positive.
There is one thing I would like to be able to achieve, and as a matter of fact, it is already possible.
However, I think the current implementation is not ideal. I mean angled images, as in this demo:
*Login to see linkLooking at the page source I have figured out how it was done and after a while I was able to recreate the gradient overlay part.
The issues that I have noticed:1. The angled image edge looks jagged on my 27-inch 4k screen. Not nice.
There is a similar feature in the row layout block: SVG divider, but it’s only for the top and bottom side.
The SVG divider is super-clean, the image edge is not jagged at all, perfect.Perhaps, CSS-gradients were not intended for such things… By definition, a gradient is a smooth transition from one color to another, so technically it’s not even a gradient. It seems a little hacky.
2. The setup is relatively complex, you need to have a wider image, and then cover a part of it. As far as I can tell, it works only with css background-image, but not with .
I think the Split Content Block would be a great place for left/right SVG dividers (triangles), in a similar way they have been implemented in the Row Layout Block (top/bottom). Simple setup, no jagged image edge – that would be really cool. Ideally, also working for and not only with css background.
Perhaps, it could work also in other blocks, maybe in the Image Overlay Block.Cheers,

I was wondering if it is possible to create off canvas sidebar with filters for shop page for mobile and tablet? Is there any build in function in kadence theme for that? Unfortunately product archive off canvas sidebar doesn’t display on mobile and tablet and with kadence elements I have to use code and the product filter plugin I use uses widgets and not shortcodes.
I would appreciate any suggestion.
Thank You in advance.Kind Regards,
IngaIn forum: Kadence ThemeNovember 24, 2020 at 10:24 am #260918Hello and good day to you 🙂
I have realized that the installation of the free Kadence Theme always comes with an admin-notification which prompts the users to install the “Starter Templates” plugin.
Even that I love your templates and look forward finding more of them in future updates, I dislike this behaviour to throw ads in the dashboard-area.
The ad is really penetrating the user and even worse: it reappears after closing it on every other dashboard-page.
Could you please remove the ad in your next update? Or at least move it to from the dashboard to the Customizer, where it would make more sense anyway?
Thank you and kind regards,

In forum: Kadence ThemeHi Shahnawaz,
I see what you mean. Sorry if this has been frustrating. By default, the links (such as category links) will take you to the default archive page. So if you’re instead wanting to link to your custom archive page you would need to add custom links. So I suggest hiding the category links (you can do this in the post grid/carousel block settings) then manually add custom links above or below your block linking to your custom archive page. And also note that you will need to create a custom page for each category. Does this make sense? Let me know if you would like more clarity!Regards,
HannahIn forum: Ascend ThemeNovember 24, 2020 at 6:48 am #260902Hi – When I try to edit a portfolio gallery and select Add/Edit Gallery, the Edit Gallery page shows only the first image of all the images that I had previously added. So, for example, if I have Image 1, Image 2, and Image 3 in a gallery, and I select Edit/Add, only Image 1 shows. If I then attempt to add Image 4, the result is a gallery with only Image 1 and Image 4. Have you seen this before and do you know what I can do to make it stop? I’m panicking a bit. The site is this one: *Login to see link It’s happening on all four of the portfolios.

In forum: Kadence ThemeNovember 24, 2020 at 5:21 am #260895Hi,
I’ve noticed an issue on a client’s site where they have thousands of old products and some don’t have prices set: If there is no price set, the sticky add-to-cart seems to freak out and just stay pegged to the top of the page no matter where you scroll. In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Customising product page

November 24, 2020 at 1:43 am #260891Hi there
I need to customise product pages and I am using the new Kadence theme. Do I have to use Elementor to do this? I feel like I have missed something as surely there is a way to do this using blocks? – I have got so used to using them and the customizer to do everything I would rather not use a page builder if i don’t need to. Can you advise me before I get stuck into this project.
Thanks very much

Hey,
How are you adding the image? Have you tried adding it with an advanced gallery block into your page? Or if this is your featured image you can set it Below under Featured Image Position in the Page Settings from your edit page.
Hope that’s helpful!Regards,

Hey Elaine,
One option for this is to set your front page as the shop page from Settings > Reading. Then from Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog you can set “Shop page display” to “Categories”. Then in your shop edit page you can add your slider shortcode into a full-width row layout block. Does this work for you?
If you post a link to your site I would be happy to provide more clear instructions based on how you have things set up.Regards,
HannahIn forum: Kadence ThemeHello, I have been unsuccessful at locating the settings to control the gap that is appearing at the top of the page just behind the transparent header as well as above the footer on this website:
It works great on desktop but once the pages are sized down a bit, the gap appears at the top of the pages. I managed to shrink the gap behind the header by disabling vertical padding on the Home page (the only page I’ve tried this on so far), but both gaps still remain and they are unsightly. Can you advise what I need to adjust to fix this issue? Thank you!
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Post Type Order
Thank you for the reply. However, under Theme Options > Portfolio Options I only see a drop down “Choose order for portfolio archive pages” by either – Menu Order, Date or Title. I have it on Menu Order, but the grid doesn’t seem to list by the number I assigned to the Top category.
Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Kathy -
