I’m really happy with Kadence Blocks Pro for its flexibility, RWD options and consistency, as well as the well-chosen suite of blocks. I’m hoping you’ll be open to adding one more simple one: a Wrapper or Group block that would extend the Kadence toolset even further.

In my case, I’m creating a bunch of block patterns (using Justin Tadlock’s Block Pattern Builder) to give my authors a set of preformatted design elements, all based on one or more Kadence blocks. But sometimes, to make this work within our site style, I need to be able to apply backgrounds, padding/margin or typography selections to these multiblock patterns. That’s easy enough if I’m working from scratch within a Row Layout container, but I need the ability to drop these block patterns anywhere on a page, without bringing along the full columnar formatting.

What I’m hoping for is, effectively, a Wrapper block that includes the flexibility and conventions of the Kadence Blocks Pro suite, has the responsive styling tools of Row Layout and its component Columns (padding/margin, background color/image, border, shadow, alignment, text color & typography, structure settings and anchor/additional CSS options) without the column layout overhead. I know I can sort of achieve this by building my patterns within a 1-column Row Layout block, but that’s a lot of unnecessary code and raises the odds of conflicts with something else on the page.

Ben – I see now. Thanks for enabling “page content”. That works perfect. This is a game changer for me. I am premium member and want to use the other themes but was daunted with that issue – I am also converting my sites one by one over to the Kadence – I love the control of header and all goodies that are built into the theme. Thanks Hannah. That fixed the links to the specific portfolio pages and blog posts.

When I try to navigate to the 2nd page of portfolio pages and blog posts though, that is broken still.

I just noticed that all of the links to ‘portfolio’ pages are broken:

Even if I’m accessing the pages from the backend, I am getting a 404.

I also noticed if I am viewing the blog section (*Login to see link and try to view the second page, I get a 404

Hi

I would like to have advice if possible with page buider?
I have 3 columns (with circles + text) which on the tablet are not displayed correctly. The first two columns are one behind the other, but the third is displayed
below the line and it is not very design.
Do you have an idea to adjust this display?

Hi,
where can I set up the dynamic search results page in Ascend? Like 1 column instead of 3. Maybe disabling the sidebar too.
I’ve tried all the Blog and Page settings but doesn’t seem to affect that template.

Hey,
I see I think I understand where the confusion is coming from. You have not enabled the “page content” for the home page in your home layout manager.

See image. Without that, you can’t add home page content through any builder or editor because there is no place it’s set to output.

I’ve enabled for you.

That should clear things up but let me know if it doens’t.

One final question for you. Is there any downside to using beaver themer in conjunction with Ascends Blog settings to customize the blog pages layout?

In your theme options > header settings you’ve enabled “Login/Register & my-account – Woocommerce Only”

That is showing between your search and cart.

You can turn it off there.

Just a note it says “home” because in your woocommerce settings you’ve not set a page to be the “my account” page. You need to set up those pages in woocommerce for everything to work right.

The more I am using Ascend theme, the more I am starting to love it! However, I am still not able to achieve a few things I think that is possible but I potentially just haven’t found them. I also have a few questions about elementor and to customize my views a bit.
Note I have not imported a demo template, I am just adding things myself.

1. So in demo ascend premium 3, you are using a mega menu with categories on top of it. How can I add those categories on top with the bottom-border? (See screenshots). I only have 2 categories at the moment.

2. How can I change the cart icon in my header?

3. Is there a way to style the mini cart (when hovering over the cart icon), without css?

4. Is there a way to style the search box in my header (I am using the search widget), without css? I want to change the width or border for example?

5. On my product page:
5.1: Is it possible to have my quantity have – and + buttons next to my inputbox instead of the arrows up and down?

5.2: I am using radio buttons (thanks to woo extras) for my variations, is it possible to always have it always have my first option selected by default for all my products? I also don’t want people to be able to clear their selection.

5.3: How can I remove the SKU number on my product page?

5.4 How can I remove the ‘from price’ above my radio buttons

6. It seems I have a global green color by default from ascend. It is being applied on borders, tabs, buttons, etc Where can I edit this color? I can’t seem to find this green anywhere

7. How can my menu have a bottom border/highlight color when I am on the current page?

8. Regarding Elementor, I can’t seem to style the shop page nor the shop products page where all my categories and all my products of a certain category are displayed. I would love to change their styles to something similar to ascend premium 3 home page blocks (just below the slider, the 3 images with a title)

The slider would work fine with those plugins, it wasn’t the slider that was erroring you had an error with “codup” in the browser console log. If you have an error it breaks all the javascript on the page which is why the slider wasn’t’ showing but that doesn’t mean that the slider is the error just that you have one.

Best to figure out what your codup code is doing and fix it. For example even now on your site you are getting this error:

Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'https://codup.io/wpads.codup.io/?pluginConfig%5BpluginName%5D=profit-reports&pluginConfig%5BpluginVersion%5D=1.1.3.7&pluginConfig%5BpageSlug%5D=codup-pr-settings&pluginConfig%5BwpVersion%5D=5.4.2&pluginConfig%5BwcVersion%5D=4.2.2' from origin 'https://memoofnorway.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: Response to preflight request doesn't pass access control check: Redirect is not allowed for a preflight request.
