    Hi Again,
    I am anxious to get a resolution to my home page issue, as we have a product launch scheduled that is largely dependent on the new home page design being functional. Here is the link to the current home page: http://www.performanceplustennis.com

    Here is a link to the new home page: https://performanceplustennis.com/home-new/

    I can produce kind of a hybrid home page by keeping only the “Page Content” activated in the Theme Options – Home Layout. But the side bar and new banner (Kadence Slider) do not present. The new slider does not present even on the original home page even though I have set the slider shortcode to the new slider.

    Your assistance is greatly appreciated! Thanks, John

    This is the category – http://www.brittharcus.co.uk/bhnew/shop/ which displays the image fine.

    This is the product page – http://www.brittharcus.co.uk/bhnew/product/workshop/ which as you can see shows the cropped image, clicking on the image pops up and enlargement which is the full image.

    Thanks

    Hi L.M.H,
    Do you have anything else enabled in your topbar? If your topbar doesn’t have content it will hide itself. Or you can force it to show with css, but then it is just a blank bar at the top of your page.

    a. That’s correct.

    b. The Post Title directly under the header has the option to be H1 if you choose not to have a title in your post. But you can make it h2. Yes, for optimal SEO, at least from my understanding, you only want one h1 tag on a page.

    c. What are you referencing?

    d. If you’re showing the title in the header and you do not want two titles on your page then you can choose not to show it in the post content.

    e. Your images will either be cropped (cut off) at certain dimensions, or you can choose the allow the image ratio that it was uploaded in to display. This means the images will all be difference sizes unless you are uploading all your images in the same ratio. Does that makes sense?

    Hi,
    as stated in this ticket: I am now translating Pinnacle into Polish. I have a problem with translating some phrases. The problem concerns the majority of single post settings (for example: Post title and subtitle section , gallery post options section and more). The same problem is with blog page settings (Page title and subtitle section)

    Could you also please take a closer look at the order of sections in single post settings? As far as I am concerned it’s not very logical. I think that sections I think the sections referring to all posts formats (Post options, Post title and subtitle) should be at the top. Now they are between “Image post options” and :Gallery post options”

    Hi,

    when I changed option “Show Author image with posts?” from on to off I can see the result only on the single blog post. Unfortunately author image is still present on the blog page. Could you please take a look?

    Whenever I make any changes in the customization settings it is not reflected on my screen dynamically. I need to”publish” the change AND I need to refresh the page in order to have any kind of “preview” – this is a huge waste of time

    Are there any known issues with NextGEN Gallery? I can’t get images to display. Here’s an example at the bottom on this page:

    I’ve tried disabling

    Also wondering if there are any alternatives to NextGEN – I need something similar that will pull images from a folder and not require that I upload them to the media library.

    thanks!

    Hi Hannah,

    I went to the general page to add in www. to the http://patisserie-cle.com/ url in hopes that it will rectify the http://www.patisserie-cle.com error page issue, but for some reason, now my entire page isn’t even loading after that. Neither can I enter the wp-login page. Oh dear. Do you have any idea how to fix this. I’m at my wit’s end.

    Hi,
    I am having trouble pointing my home page to a newly created page (home page). I have gone into settings to reading and selected my new page from the drop down menu and saved, but the original home page keeps showing up, even so upon refresh. I have also trashed the home page and then selected the new page, but get the same results…what am I missing? Thanks in advance for your assistance. Kindly, John

    When using Amazon Pay as a payment method, the custom Elementor Checkout page does NOT show the address book widget and the wallet widget for the customer to select, as a “normal” woocommerce checkout page would…

    They are these divs

    #amazon_addressbook_widget div, #amazon_wallet_widget div

    I’ve tried the below but it didnt work. Does Elementor Checkout widgets not allow for these widgets?

    #amazon_addressbook_widget div, #amazon_wallet_widget div {
    display: block
    }

    Thanks

    Thank you Ben!

    1. The credits text floating right also seems to be affecting the footernav menu right above it: http://www.develop.georgianchant.org. I want the nav elements centered, the c2020 John Graham credit text on the right. Or anyway I want to be able to control their position. I tried all variations of the float css in all places, but I couldn’t achieve what I wanted.

    2. I would like to be able to control the css for the text in the tags cloud in footer #1.

    3. I would like to be able to control the css for the text in the Vcard in footer #4.

    4. In footer #2 (Categories), I don’t understand why the text is wrapping. Why don’t the titles continue on the same line to the extent that they fit within the Footer #2 container? For example, the text “Gelati monastery style”.

    5. The padding around the credits container doesn’t seem to be working. Could you show me how to control the spacing above/below?

    6. This isn’t Footer formatting specific, but I have a general question about Categories. When I click on a highlighted category name such as “Gelati monastery style”, I expect it to take me to a page where all posts related to that category will be displayed in some format. Instead, I am getting an error page with the following text: “Sorry, but the page you were trying to view does not exist. It looks like this was the result of either: a mistyped address, an out-of-date link.” I’m trying to build this site around categorizing lots of information that I plan to write in, so solving this issue is critical to the basic infrastructure of the site that I am trying to build.

    Thanks so much, slowly things are improving on this site. If you have any suggestions, let me know.

    John

    Hello,
    Oh Hannah, I think we don’y understand each other from the start.
    Homepage is pk for me. The date is readable.
    What I regret is that in the blog grid there is only one icon.
    I’m afraid that’s not possible in virtue.
    thank you 🙂

    Hey,
    I would try and limit galleries to what makes sense and there isn’t a perfect number but anything over 20 is getting larger, over 50 and that’s excessive for one page to load.

    You can display an album with a shortcode, and it will show a grid of your galleries.

    Let’s say I had an album of nature photography and within that album, I have 10 galleries. and each gallery has 12 images. I can assign a featured image to each gallery along with the gallery title. and I can show all 10 galleries in a grid where I’ve output my album.

    I hope that makes sense.

    1. Just to clarify, you are wanting to edit “Categories” and “Primary Nav”.

    You are adding a border color for hover on a element that has no border, that is why it’s not working, if you add:

    #containerfooter .menu li a {
        border:1px solid transparent
    }

    Then the border color would have an effect on hover.

    I see the hover color working, you have it set in your css to be the same color as the non-hover color.

    If you have something specific you want me to help with I can send you custom css.

    2. I’m not sure how adding a menu widget relates to SiteOrigin page builder in the footer. Because those two are so so different I’m worried there might be some misunderstanding.

    However, as Hannah said you can use SiteOrigin page builder in your footer by going to appearance > widgets and adding a widget called “Layout Builder” into one of your Footer widget areas. Once you add that widget into one of those footer widget areas you can edit that widget and it will give you access to the Siteorigin page builder. Does that make sense?

    Hi on only one page, the Facebook icon isn’t showing.

    Hannah,

    Thank you so much for this detailed response. Some things fixed immediately, others not yet.

    1. How do I make the menu items in the footer boxes come together? This is not the footernav. because it is not the footer menu. Rather it is the Appearance>menu where I’ve placed Navigation widgets and pointed towards menus. I’m having trouble gaining control over the css via the #containerfooter css that you recommended. Here is what I have now. Some features like the hover color and border don’t work.

    #containerfooter h3 {
    font-size: 20px;
    line-height: 22px;
    color: #003a6d;
    font-family: sans-serif;
    }

    #containerfooter .menu {
    margin-left: 0;
    border-left: 1px solid #003a6d;
    }
    #containerfooter .menu li a {
    color: #003a6d;
    font-size: 12px;
    line-height: 12px;
    margin-bottom: 12px;
    text-decoration: none;
    background: transparent;
    }

    #containerfooter .menu li a:hover {
    color: #003a6d;
    border-color: #003a6d;
    text-decoration: none;
    background: transparent;
    transition: .3s;
    }

    2. Please explain in one more sentence how to use SiteOrigin page builder to get into designing my footer space. You wrote: “Yes, you can do that using the Layout Builder widget from Siteorigin.”
    So far, I’ve tried the two methods that I know of, and neither has worked: Appearance>widget and insert a menu widget. This results in the titles of the menu pages that are inserted into the widget. The other method is building a separate menu, labeling it “footer”, then from Appearance>Menu directing wordpress to place that named “Footer” menu in the footer area.
    Both of these strategies have proved difficult to work with in terms of the css, and adding content that can be easily formatted. What if I want to write a full sentence, how do I do it?

    Thank you!!
