    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Set page layout to full width
    2. Add a cover block to a page
    3. Add a heading block or advanced heading block inside the cover block
    4. Try to center align the header block
    It works in the backend but not on the frontend!

    In your theme options > custom css add this css:

    @media (max-width: 992px){
    	.page #respond.comment-respond {
    	    padding: 0 15px;
    	}
    }

    Let me know if that works, I think this is a bug in the theme around comments on pages. That css should resolve it.

    I’m curious how the Kadence Theme compares to other WordPress themes which are marketed as ‘Accessibility Ready’. I notice the Kadence Theme homepage has a heading labeled Accessible‎ which says:

    Improves site accessibility through navigation accessibility enhancements.

    I can’t find any other details about accessibility features for this theme. How can I learn more?

    Hi Hannah,

    Thanks for your prompt reply. I was able to adjust the height of the banner, but not the width. Is the width limited because I am using a sidebar? Please take a look and let me know: https://performanceplustennis.com/home-page-mock-up/

    Thanks for your assistance!

    Hannah,

    This was a most useful response, thank you very much!

    3. If you look in the footer of this website http://www.develop.georgianchant.org there are all of the categories. Eventually when I load more posts (lots of posts) about specific Orthodox chants, I would like readers to be able to find information about those chants by clicking on categories like “Chant style” “Service Type” “Monastery School” etc. By clicking on a category in the footer, I hope that readers will be taken to a page where they can see every post that has been tagged with that category. Like the results of a Search query. Is this how categories work?

    4. Solved

    5. Thanks for tipping me to the location. I enabled the Virtue galleries here. But they still don’t still seem to be working right. The pictures are all out of proportion and getting skewed. Also, how do I control the way the mosaic looks? Right now, it doesn’t look good.

    6. I put in this CSS. But now it is making my primary menu disappear when it goes to tablet size. Another solution?

    7. This css solved the color. But the organization of the text in the footer is still a giant mess. I wonder how I can gain more control over putting this menu text into nice neat horizontal rows, tabbing lower heading text under major heading texts? Something like this: https://www.webdesignerdepot.com/2018/09/4-best-practices-for-designing-mega-footers/

    Thanks again for all of your help!

    Hey John,
    Glad you’re enjoying the theme!
    In your page builder row you just need to add some top and bottom padding. You can do that from the Layout tab when editing the row.
    Hope that helps!

    Hi
    I started a new website and by integrating the title of the site in the header of the home page, I have a white strip without content which appears under the title (therefore under the background image). I don’t know how to remove it, I looked all over the theme options and on the page there is …
    Thanks

    Hi, in this site I have a kadence slider pro set from the theme configuration and all is working good because i can specify the transparent header so all is working well…. things changes when i have to put the slider shortcode because now i need to translate the site in english, so i created 2 slider versions… so, I cannot use the theme configuration to set the slider …but i put in the spanish and english version of the page the slider shortcode… BUT, the result is like you can see right now …. even if I set the home page with transparent header directly from the page settings…

    can you check it plesae?

    thanks

    Bien sûr j’ai tout configuré tous qu’il me reste à faire c’est de pouvoir transformer la page d’accueil uniquement pour les produits.
    J’aimerais aussi savoir comment traduire l’option du thème en Français ?

    Topic: Back button

    #248850

    Hi,

    I’m using Advanced button as a back button using a page URL (I have set it as a reusable block because it is used on around 70 pages). The return page in question scrolls quite a long way, particularly on mobile. For a better UX is there a way to add code to take the visitor back to the point they had scrolled to rather than the top of the page?

    Links below

    (the back button is the ‘X’, upper left)

    Thanks as always

    #248847

    It basically seems that it automatically scrolls up on page refresh, also after F5.

    Hi~
    I’ve read many posts about smooth scrolling yet I can’t seem to get it to work.
    I have 3 images at the top of a page which are set to scroll to the 3 sections on the page. I have the IDs set in the row attributes and the linking works. I have smooth scrolling on in misc settings and tried a few things I found in the forums but so far no joy. Perhaps you can help?

    It’s the row with 3 images below the menu that have the links.
    Thanks!

    Hi Ben and Team,
    Love the theme! However, struggling to get the Call To Action Banner formatted on my home page. Here is the link: Just above the footer. Can’t figure it out! Your guidance is greatly appreciated!

    Hey,
    What plugins are you running? Without additional editor or page builder plugins, and with the latest version of WordPress, Gutenberg should be the default editor.

    I also cannot adjust to Gutenberg. Wp grabs it automatically.

    Sorry, can you tell me what you mean by that?

    Just so I’m clear, is your primary issue that you cannot create/edit a page using Gutenberg, or that you do not know how to create the layout you’re wanting using Gutenberg?

    If you want to send login info I would be happy to take a look at all this and help get you set up.

    Hi There,
    I’m trying to target the header menu bar in it’s regular and shrinky states to have a slight box shadow on the bottom to define the edge (especially on all-white pages).

    These are my attempts which did not work:
    header #kad-banner{box-shadow: 0px 0px 5px #888888;}
    header #kad-banner-sticky-wrapper .sticky-wrapper {box-shadow: 0px 0px 5px #888888;}
    header #kad-stickyheader {box-shadow: 0px 0px 5px #888888;}

    Hello Hannah,

    I have a new front page, and a number of things are not cooperating. I wonder if you could help? Here is the page:

    1. I have an image as a background to the Secondary menu. I would like to play with the height of this image. I tried to increase the height of the text line, but then this messed up the drop-down menu text spacing. So I need to work directly with that background image.

    2. Could you help me make the Header and the Secondary Menu sticky? There is not an option within the theme to have a sticky header, and a secondary menu. I would like both to be disappear as a user scrolls down the page

    3. This site employs a lot of “categories”. I don’t understand, can categories generate new pages? I hope so, as I would like a Category page to then list every item on the website that has been categorized with that rubric.

    4. I would like a horizontal line to separate the footer widget areas from the footer menu.

    5. The Virtue image gallery mosaic style doesn’t seem to be working, and I can’t figure out why.

    6. At about 800 px wide, my home page menus disappear. How can I control when the menus collapse to the format for mobile phones? This should not happen until the width is more like 350px or 400px, no?

    7. I want to control css for footer text, but can’t find where to do this. I want to have long lists in small font of all the categories, down in the footer area. I tried to put these categories in a unique footer menu. I found some supplementary css for the footer, but it doesn’t seem to work. Here is what I put in as supplementary css in the “advanced settings.”

    .footercredits p {
    font-size: 12px;
    }

    .footercredits p a {
    color: #003a6d
    }

    .footermenu li a {
    font-size: 12px;
    font-weight: normal;
    color: #003a6d
    }

    #248819

    Hey,

    You wrote:

    If a user adds an “advanced button” I would like my global button style to be used by default

    It’s kind of intentional that this not work the way you are suggesting. The Core button block should do this but the advanced button block is designed for advanced control in the button itself and intentionally not the design of the default button you would set through the customizer.

    Setting block defaults would only set the starting point, when a block is added it would have those styles, it’s totally different than something like a global style which I think it more what you want since it sounds like you would want the existing blocks to change if you changed the default and that isn’t how it works.

    Just to clarify you wrote:

    This is not working with buttons because you use a default inline settings

    That isn’t exactly true, it’s not inline css in the html tag it’s in a style tag in the page head targeting via specific css for example:

    .kt-btns_14d486-40 .kt-btn-wrap-0 .kt-button {
        color: #555555;
        border-color: rgba(85, 85, 85, 1);
    }

    so you could override with more specific css without the need for important.

    However to your point that would prevent the block from being customizable if you override the settings.

    I’ll consider this and come up with some options. But I must say I think using the core button block for what you want makes more sense and using the advanced button block when you want an advanced button block.

    Thanks Ben,

    Do you mean on the page options?

    I removed the css and set the Feature page options to:
    Max Image/Slider Height: 400
    Max Image/Slider Width: 2000

    The header image then displays at 1140 x 228.

    I have left those settings in place and reinstated the css.

    The header image now displays at full-width and 352px high.
    Hope this helps.
    Phil.
