Topic: Switch from Virtue to Ascend
Hi Team
I have just switched from virtue pro to ascend pro, and as described elsewhere I had to set up the pages again. However, it was a test, and I only had 2 pages, so big deal.
After switching, the frontpage header will not load correctly in Explorer and on mobile Android or Iphone. It looks like the slider from Virtue somehow is still there. Also, the secondary menu is there.
The problem can be something else. Can you help me?

I would like on a page to display a list of accommodations.
I’ve put a category on the photos to use them as a group for one accomadation.
For example : I want to put on a page a carrousel of photos with category “Patriko” and beneath another carrousel with category “Francois”.
How can I do that ? I’ve tried some shortcodes but none display categorized photos.Thanks for helping.

How do I disable the lazy load? When I click the menu item “Our People” from any other page other than the homepage, the page jumps to the footer, not the Our People header.

Looks like you are using Kadence Woo Extras for the single gallery page, in your woo extras settings go to gallery and there you can set the product image sizes.Ben

I think you are thinking about this incorrectly, a taxonomy is for a specific post type, you seem to want some kind of archive that would contain two or more post types, that wouldn’t happen through any kind of taxonomy, that isn’t how they work.To have an archive page with two kinds of custom post types you would need to create a custom archive template and query so that within your query you call two types of custom post. The only way I know to do this is through a child theme and custom code. I’m not aware of any plugin that merges post types into the same query.

Your image seems to show a site using virtue, the url above is using ascend. Can you clarify what theme you intend to keep using? If ascend it’s best to post in the ascend form to keep things from getting confusing.

I have the product image settings set to “Variable based on uploaded image” and turned on for both catalog images and and single product images.
This setting works great on the catalog page. But on the single product page the images are still being cropped 1:1 and cut off.
Hopefully this makes sense, I will attach some links in a reply.

i have placed an image in a row and added shadow to the column and although i can see it on the edit screen it is not visible when viewing the page. tried viewing in firefox and chrome.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIt fixed the header and footer. But it is adding padding to the page heading and moving it to the left as shown in the image by red arrows. The page heading should not move and should remain as it was before adding any padding.
Moreover, once i bought Ascend theme. I want to download it again. Please advise how to do that.
In forum: Virtue ThemeIve come back to a site I havent touched for several months and found there are now issues. On any page other than the homepage, the top portion of the page has issues such as text squashed in 5% space at the side (see attached) or 80% of a background image missing. As soon as I scroll, the page corrects itself and all is well.
I have not updated all my plugins and cleared all cache but it hasnt fixed it

Actually on the computer screen I have only half displayed and on mobile the full image.
Even if I put the exact size of the picture still only half of the image is displayed.
I have put the kadence slider pro first and the kadence slider after and they don’t have the same display.
And you can see the real photo at the bottom.
What size of images must I used to have the same display on mobile and computer with the whole photo ?Regards

1) Is it possible once the Contact Form [kt_contact_form] has been submitted via the ‘Send Message’ Button, for the sender to be redirected to another page such as Home or Booking etc.?
2) On the ‘Send Message’ Button, can we change the Button Text? I’ve used some CSS to change some things like the colour of the input text to Black via:

I too have encountered an issue (since upgrading to WordPress 5.3.1).
This only seems to affect one (1x) Site and fortunately it is NOT a live Site (under development).
I have, however had to disable Ascend Premium – as with it turned on (Activated) I was receiving a stream of errors (on the home page) – and also could not login to WP-ADMIN either (I eventually did so by renaming the /ascend-premium/ folder in /themes/
Here’s the first of the errors shown:
Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /homepages/5/d770581549/htdocs/www.drybritish.com/wp-content/themes/ascend_premium/themeoptions/redux/inc/class.redux_filesystem.php on line 29
Then several more along the lines of:

NOT urgent, but I was planning on working once again with Ascend Premium (with Child Theme) as usual – so ideally this can be explained / fixed.

Am having an issue withe the Sliper Pro and may be it because I don’t know how to adjust the slider.
I have a page for a “They talk about us” ( in the press). I have made a page witn a shortcode of a slider but I don’t have the same display on my phone and my computer.

On the computer I have one third of the photo and on mobile I have the complete photo.
How can I adjust the slider to display the whole photo of any size ?Thanks for helping.
