    Good morning,

    When you have a moment, would one of you clever coders help me figure out where the heck this shadow is coming from. I’m hoping that you can see it.

    Sending link. Look on the homepage. You will see a faint yellowish line about 20 px in width running down the left sign of the website. Any ideas what this is? I did change the header logo…but that’s all. <sigh>

    Greetings – my lack of CSS skills are on full display here, but I thought you all might be able to help me figure out how to change the background color on product item images showing on a category archive page.

    Here’s the page in question:

    Currently the white background obscures the fact that the artwork has a white border around it (as you can see in the header image). I’d like to change the background to grey, and my feeble efforts have proven fruitless. I’ve targeted product_item, to no avail.

    Hi all-

    I’m working on yet another product, once again using Ascend Premium as base theme (love it!).

    My client has raised a question – and I ideally need some guidance in order to make it work.

    They have a mix of different image *ratios* on their “Featured Images” for Pages (fine, no issues).

    However.. on Search Results it looks to me like a *set* ratio is used? (as they have some cut-out, *square* Feature Images in place – but they are being cropped (on Search Results) – resulting in less than desirable results.

    *IDEALLY* I’d like the Search Results thumbnail images to *preserve and use whatever the source (featured) Image’s ratio is*

    (I’m using the “Grid” layout option for Search Results by the way, which is otherwise also fine).

    Can someone advise how this could be achieved?

    Another alternative (if the above awkward or not feasible) would be for ALL Results images instead to be square. However, this is less desirable, as the other images they have (which are not square) may then in turn also also up looking odd / not ideal.

    Some data was missing in the saved attributes. I resaved the page and the block reset the missing data and loaded.

    Your css is all minified so I can’t tell the source but this css is being added:

     .woocommerce ul.products[class*=columns-] li.product,.woocommerce-page ul.products[class*=columns-] li.product {
                width: 48%;
                float: left;
                clear: both;
                margin: 0 0 2.992em
            }

    You would need to remove that, or fix it since it’s forcing 2 columns regardless of whats set.

    Thank you for your help. That CSS works great – thank you!

    I have a related query though if I may – I have tried to increase the number of columns shown on the page from 2 to 4 (see screenshot). It shows as expected (i.e. 4-columns wide) if I preview the page within Elementor, however, even after purging my cache it continues to show 2 columns on the site in a fresh incognito tab.

    Hello. I noticed that whenever I go away from my page by opening a new tab and come back the slider has disappeared. It only happens when opening a new tab. I checked other browsers like windows edge and it does the same. It seems to be a glitch because it wasn’t an issue before. I did used a shortcode to move the slider button a while ago but I didn’t see this issue until recently. Please help. Here is the link to the website bigdaddyclothing.com

    Hi Dave,
    That is done using the Kadence Slider. You can learn how to configure it from here: https://www.kadencewp.com/knowledge-base/kadence-slider-configure-slides/
    If you are planning to have a slider stretch the width of your page your images should be at least 2000px wide. You can read more about optimal image sizing here: https://www.kadencewp.com/blog/best-practices-for-images-sizes-and-optimization-in-wordpress/

    I’ve been using Virtue Premium for some time and love it. I’m not pleased with my home page though. I was looking at the demos on this site to see what else Virtue Premium can do. There are features I like, but I don’t know what to call anything. In the 4th demo, the large picture (actually 3 in a slide show) at the top stretches from screen to screen, both on my PC and my mobile device. How would that be done…also with the way the text slides into the screen? What size should those images be?

    1st make sure without Kadence Woo Templates that your shop page is working, there is a lot you have to configure correctly in WPML so it’s best to make sure you have the products translated and showing then you can apply Kadence Woo Templates.

    If you know you have WPML all set up then send me a login so I can see your Kadence Woo Template settings.

    Hi Hannah,

    Thanks yet again for your very prompt support!

    That CSS was provided to me by Piotnet Addons For Elementor Pro support because when I started using their plugin the body of my website was starting at the top of the page and overlapping my existing Elementor created page header.

    What is the best way to resolve this?

    Hi Ben,
    Would you please advice me too in this topic. I’ve a Kadence Woo Template for language 1 and another template for language 2
    In WPML strings I have added the correct id for language 2, but the Shop page is still empty for language 2.

    How should this be done? I think I’ve missed something.

    Well, in my previous reply, I embedded the tag from my source code and the forum translated it to display the actual photo instead of the tag. Oh well.

    In the page I’m working on, I have the gallery image links turned on and set to link to the media file so they’ll pop up in a modal lightbox when clicked on, making the image a link. I have the caption set to always display below the image. It looks like the figcaption tag is inside the image hyperlink making the entire caption linking to the image rather than it standing by itself. Which is probably why the block is crashing … a link inside a link.

    Is there any way to move the figcaption outside of the image hyperlink so it can stand by itself AND allow for hyperlinks in the caption?

    I’m not adding it after. If I remove the block and add a new Advanced Gallery block, select my images that have Alt text and captions to create the gallery, I’m still not getting alt text in the source code. This is what I get when I view source code for one of the images:

    There’s also an issue with hyperlinks in the caption. For example, if I have a gallery of Board of Commissioners that has a caption of their name, their role on the board and then a mailto hyperlink, when I go back to edit the page the block is crashed and it tells me that it has invalid content. It doesn’t crash if I don’t add the mailto hyperlink and just display the email address. (I don’t really like to do mailto hyperlinks, but with this particular website, I have to).
