In reply to: Featured image when sending links
Hey,
Are you using an SEO plugin? If not, I would recommend using Yoast SEO. That will allow you to set alt images for your post and pages.
Hope that helps!Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeHello!
I noticed that when I send links (through text, messengers, etc), some of them are sent with featured image, making it look very nice (like a snapshot of a webpage), but some are not.
Example photos:
Both pages have featured images. Why is it happening? Are there certain image requirements to make it work?Thank you!

Thanks Kevin,
I’ve installed and got up to speed with Elementor.
But it leads me to the same place so I still need some guidance towards a solution.
I have created this page and you can see that I have been unable to create the required panel effect with the 3 boxes.Any further thoughts?
Thanks,

Hello,
I think that the best way to replicate that will be through the use of a page builder plugin. If you’re familiar with site origin page builder or elementor, then you should be able to create this layout pretty easily.
If you’re unfamiliar with page builders, I recommend taking a look at this post:
https://www.kadencewp.com/recommended-page-builders-for-wordpress/Does that option work for you?

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Export/Import templates Woo Template PlugIn
Hello,
The best way to do this is to use the the prebuilt layouts feature of page builder. Here’s some more information on the prebuilt layouts:
https://siteorigin.com/page-builder/documentation/prebuilt-layouts/You can clone from a page or posts current layout, or import from any other layout.
The import and export area within the Layouts area allows you to get the json file for your current page builder layout by clicking the “Download Layout Button.”
Then upload the file when you’re on another site you want to use the layout with in the same area. Hopefully I explained that clearly enough!

Hi Team,
I am converting this live site to Kadence Virtue. I have prepared a Development copy and I need it to look as near the original as possible. I am 95% there! Please can you help with some CSS detail?
On the live site front page, you can see a panel effect has been created with the 3 square panels below the main content. I am having difficulty achieving the same effect in Virtue on the Dev site.
I have got as near as I can with CSS. Please could you advise the best way ahead?
Many thanks,

February 6, 2019 at 10:25 am #215762Hey,
You can read here about theme integration with Gutenberg: https://www.kadencewp.com/how-we-added-support-for-gutenberg-in-kadence-themes/
Nothing really you need to know about. It’s important to note that if you use Sitegorigin page builder I suggest installing the latest version of the Gutenberg plugin.
You have to activate the themes on a site by site basis. Our premium plugins via membership can be activated once for multisite but the themes activate through the getting started page which would be in the single site area.
I should note that multisite’s do very strange things with theme updates and currently there isn’t a solution to get premium theme admin updates to function within a multisite so you will have to manually update the theme.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeGreetings Ben & Co!
I’m very interested in using Pinnacle with Gutenberg, as I have access to your wonderful array of plugins. With the release of Gutenberg, are there any updates to Pinnacle theme Gutenberg users should know about? I’m noticing the sales page still references only SiteOrigin page builder.
I’d also like to know if Pinnacle, Blocks Pro, and your other plugins can be network activated in a multisite. If so, does each child site need to have the license manually entered, or just the main parent site?
Thanks!
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: How to use shortcodes in Gutenberg
Hi Julia,
I believe it is in the works to add a shortcode block in the near future, but in the meantime, you can actually paste any of those shortcodes from the page you linked to directly into a paragraph block. You can also find all of the theme shortcodes here: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/shortcodes/
Hope that’s helpful!Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
One of the main reasons I bought the Kadence theme is because of its Gutenberg integration and being able to use shortcodes such as the one that allows to create pop up box on certain selected words (for definitions of words): *Login to see link (last shortcode pop up link). I don’t seem to be able to use that though with Gutenberg without using one of the old page builders? Please advise since I really don’t want to be using old page builders and may have to revisit if this is the right theme choice for us. Apologies if I missed a tutorial or forum thread explaining this already.
many thanks

In forum: Membership ForumsIn reply to: How to backup theme and config data?
Hello,
The import/export isn’t really the same as a backup. It just saves your theme options so that you can add them to another site for the same configuration. So images and page content etc… will not be included in the import. If you’re wanting to backup, this plugin is super easy to use and highly recommended:

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Ascend theme-Restaurant demo
Hello Support team!
I use restaurant demo on this site, and I love it! My only question is this:
As this is a one-site website, all menus link to the specific part of the main page, like this: #location.
This is great, but what if I create some other pages, where I’d like the menus to link back to the main page.Main page:
*Login to see linkSub page, where I’d like all the menus to link back to the specific part of the main page:
*Login to see linkHow can I do that?
Thanks, Anita
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Which Contact Form to Use?
Kevin,
I have a followup question. I am going to use the WPForm that you recommended.
1). I plan to use the math formula as my recapcha. Is that okay?
2). I like how you designed the Contact Template page. Can I retain that same format when using the WPForm? Text on left side and contact form on the right?Thank you,
PamIn forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Scroll to top button
The to the top button is different than smooth scrolling. That enables the scrollbar on the right side of your page.
You can use this css to adjust the to the top button styling:.kt-icon-arrow-up2 { color: #eee; border: solid 2px #333; border-radius: 10px; }Or is it the scrollbar you’re wanting to style?
