The plugin update just caused my entire website to return a blank page labelled Error 505. Everything was working beautifully up until the plugin updated. Next thing, the website is down, and it’s back up once the plugin is deactivated. Here’s a screen shot of the activity log: https://snag.gy/kcJCbi.jpg
I don’t know where to find my error logs – I’ve only been running WooCommerce and Pinnacle for a few days…
I didn’t specifically pick that plugin – it was included with WooCommerce (I’m with WordPress.com – I don’t know if it makes a difference?) I assumed it was OK. I can see from the review page you linked to that it’s not the best in the first place. Is there another PayPal checkout pluggin that you’d recommend (and that would work well with Pinnacle?)
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeJanuary 25, 2019 at 2:48 pm #214478Well I can’t say I would recommend using that plugin, I also can’t create an error, it doesn’t crash my test site when I activate or throw up any php errors.
Is there a certain page that doesn’t work?
In forum: Virtue ThemeJanuary 25, 2019 at 2:40 pm #214476but will be much more of an issue with users who have advanced settings and upgrade from free to premium
yeah, I just tested again didn’t have any trouble importing theme options from free. I think it’s more likly something on your server.
If it helps though, it only happened on blog pages where I had a 2/3, 1/3 block row split
Would it be possible to send me a screenshot of the backend settings? Are you using a full width row?
Mobile app, I know it’s just introduced basic gutenberg support and no custom blocks yet so if you are going to edit then make sure you are not using a Kadence Block or any other block other then core.
Have you considered just editing the site through a mobile browser rather than the app,
Ben

January 25, 2019 at 2:25 pm #214475What I see is style tags being added to the head of the page, BUT they are missing the closing
<style> .bfd-download-block, .bfd-single-download{background:#eeeeee ;} </style><style> .bfd-download-btn, .bfd-single-download-btn, .bfd-download-meta p, .bfd-single-download-title{color:#444444 !important;} .bfd-download-btn{border: 1px solid #444444 !important;} .bfd-single-download-btn{color:#444444 !important;}</style><style> .bfd-download-btn:hover, .bfd-download-meta:hover > p{color:#799354!important;} .bfd-download-btn:hover{border: 1px solid #799354 !important;} .bfd-single-download-btn:hover{color:#799354 !important;}There should be
</style>at the end of that. There really isn’t’ anything you can do from the theme side to fix that you would just need to fix the plugin.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben and Kevin,
thanks for the fast responses! Fortunately didn’t have to many settings to change since only just installed the free version this week, but will be much more of an issue with users who have advanced settings and upgrade from free to premium.
Glad to hear re the em line heights since the typography is looking awful in places. Will wait for update if it’s due to come out soon.
Can’t send links unfortunately since all pages are password protected for now and we want to keep it that way and I’ve only created a few blog posts which will be just easier to recreate if there isn’t a quick fix anyway. If it helps though, it only happened on blog pages where I had a 2/3, 1/3 block row split.
A bigger issue however is that it seems near impossible to update the site via the WordPress mobile app. I had duplicated post pages for an editor to update who works mainly on a mobile and every time he overwrites any of the copy (keeping the same styling and blocks) it wreaks havoc with the design and generates lots of errors. Layout changes, blocks move around and when logging back in on desktop it says there are lots of HTML errors.
Not sure if that’s a theme/app or a general Gutenberg/wordpress app issue? Just flagging it since it heavily impacts on our content editorial process, so any help here would be much appreciated!
Many thanks,

In forum: Virtue Themehi there,
Just installed the premium virtue theme to upgrade the free version. First of all the import of previous theme settings didn’t seem to work at all. I had to manually go through the theme options to adjust my settings to what I had.
Then all existing pages and blocsk set up with virtue free suddenly switched from left aligned to centre aligned, and some paragraphs seem to stay that way despite going manually into each block (tedious!) to select left align (which was already selected, but was centre aligning all blocks regardless).
Am I doing something wrong? Did I miss a global centre align setting anywhere? Please help.
Also, setting body copy to px size and px height means that if I adjust font size inside a page the line height remains static. Any chance of changing the global line height to em instead of px so that it adjust according to actual font size?
Many thanks!
JuliaIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Guttenberg effecting mobile display?
It seems that this script is keeping the page from loading properly:
<script type="text/javascript"> jQuery(document).ready(function ($) { if( $(window).width() < 992 ) { $('.kt-not-mobile-sticky').sticky({topSpacing:0}); } }); </script>I’m not sure what’s wrong with it, it looks fine to me. Try removing it from theme options header footer scripts temporarily to see if the site loads properly. I’ll flag this for a developer followup so that Ben can take a look asap.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi There,
I’m now having an issue with some items not displaying on mobile view.
For instance if you launch in mobile view the homepage does not display the icon menu from the Theme Options => Home Layout as well as shortcode (Essential Grid) and a footer Page Layout widget (this effects all pages).
I’ve tried loading in the following states – disabling all plugins, removing all css, just disabling Gutenberg and then disabling Pagebuilder.
All with no success.
Now for the strange part, all work fine if I start with a window on desktop starting with the none mobile view and then reduce to mobile view sizing using a mouse!
Please can you advise.
Will supply links if needed.
Thanks,
Mark.

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: 3rd party plugin issue
Hello Kadence team,
I hope you can help me but please forgive me if this is beyond your remit! I am developing a page that will allow various types of file downloading (images, pdfs, documents etc.) I have found a very neat and simple plugin – ‘Better File Download’ which does exactly what I want after discarding quite a few others …however it creates a conflict with other elements on the page: *Login to see link
The row of Recent Posts have taken on a new colour for its titles and the Ascend Call to Action row at the bottom of the page has disappeared altogether. I appreciate that this issue is most likely related to the plugin, but if there is a script workaround or something simple that I am missing I would be very very grateful.
With thanks as ever,
Andrew.

Actually in several places, but we are starting on the category page: https://medievalunlimited.com/product-category/armour/
There are multiple sub-categories for the “Armour” category, but none populate because they are empty.

January 24, 2019 at 2:09 pm #214367You can add this css in your theme options > advanced settings > custom css box:
@media (min-width: 1200px) { .container { width: 100%; } }The content of your home page is built using a page builder which is defining its own content width.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeHello,
Try going to Theme Options> Site header, and adjust the “Menu Text Color (For Transparent Header).”
And in Theme Options> Menu Settings, you should be able to set the font color for when the page is scrolled, under “Primary Menu Font.”
Does that work for you?
