Hello, I’m also having this problem. When I update pages such as http://www.johngrahamtours.com/walking-east-2019/ the map at the top of the sidebar suddenly doesn’t work at all and shows a random place in New York or Cape Town. Up until now, it showed the route of the tour advertised. I have a Google API, etc. I’m not getting any error code, and I’m not sure where to look to find out if there is any problem? Can you see anything?

Hi, at the bottom of this page *Login to see link we put a post grid shortcode so display some category posts. when we click one off them, we arrive correctly to the post detail, BUT, in the top of the page the breadcrumbs appears and if the user clicks the DEVELOPMENT & DATA MANAGEMENT breadcrumb link the category page is loaded…. that is the problem: we wanted to load the *Login to see link page, not the DEVELOPMENT & DATA MANAGEMENT post category page… is there a way to do that or we need to hide breadcrumbs? how we can hide them?

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the quick response. The Home Page was set correctly in the Theme settings and the content was still entered on the page editor. However, your suggestion did give me the idea to double check the Homepage Settings in the Customize menu (Appearance->Customize->Homepage Settings) and for some reason the site was set to display posts (rather than a specific page). Once I changed it back to my Home page, everything worked again. I know I didn’t make any changes, so I have no idea why it changed back to the default setting, but I’m so glad it was an easy fix! If you see anyone else with this same issue, you might want to have them double check these settings as well.

Hello,

Sorry you’re having troubles. Since I didn’t see the site before the issue, can you please specify what problems you’re having?

It looks like no home page content is being set to display. Try going to Theme Options> Home Layout, and make sure that the correct modules are set to the Active column.

Let me know if that makes a difference.

I usually discourage using a slider where you need a lot of text, usually, this is better done through a row like in Gutenberg or a page builder. can you send me a link so I can see what you have?

Hi Phoebe,
1. I’m seeing your first checkbox aligned. What browser are you using? This css should align the terms checkbox:

.woocommerce form .form-row .input-checkbox, .woocommerce-page form .form-row .input-checkbox {
    margin-top: 4px;
}

2. Have you cleared your cache?

3. Most of the google fonts are included in the theme (over 600), however, there is a limit just in resources. Google fonts keep growing and you don’t want to have to load all of them in your admin. If there are fonts you want to use that are not included I would recommend using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/use-any-font/

Hi Ben,
Here’s the Italian traslation of Kadence Blocks

I put it in the plugin Language folder but I have a problem to see it in my local site, do I have to set a different name than it_IT.po and it_IT.mo?

I have the dashboard in Italian but when in the Settings I click Kadence Blocks or in the installed plugin page I click on Settings it suddenly revert the dashboard in English and your plugin too of course. It seems that something is preventing from translating it.

Thank you so much for providing all the CSS, most of them worked, except for part 3 regarding the sipping labels for the checkout page.

Regarding the sliders, I’ve checked both, and I’ve actually set both colours to white. But they just don’t show. Occasionally when the page loads, I do see the text appear, but then disappear when fully loaded. So I still can’t really figure out why.

Also I would like to ask, that for some reason, my Pinnacle theme has pretty limited fonts. I can’t seem to find common ones like Futura or even Gotham. Quite a lot of the fonts that I’ve found on Google Web Font doesn’t seem to be reflected in the Typography page’s dropdown selection as well. Do you happen to know why’s that?

You need to choose a specific portfolio type. Did you look at the documentation I sent? You should see Portfolio Options in your edit page and an option to choose a specific type. Have you assigned your portfolio posts to specific types?

I would like to have different content on each portfolio. For example on one portfolio I want cars and on the second portfolio I want boats. I added another portfolio page using the portfolio template in the page attributes but just get a copy of my original portfolio.

Is this possible to achieve?

My website *Login to see link was due for some plugin updates which is/was happening around the same time as the WordPresss updated. I noticed after the plugin updates that our Kadence Slider is gone, and replaced with this code: [kadence_slider_pro id=”1″] at the top of our home page.

I started by restoring a backup via our vaultpress to before when this would have been completed with no success. I also tried reactivating the plugin, but found that it has been completely removed from our website. And when I try to reinstall the plugin, this is the message I get:

Destination folder already exists. /home/content/a2pewpnaspod04_data05/39/41312939/html/wp-content/plugins/kadence-slider/

Plugin installation failed.

So it must have been automatically uninstalled as part of an update, and I think it was in relation to the wordpress update, but I’m not 100% sure. Any thoughts on what we may be doing wrong?

Hey,
You can have as many portfolio pages as you want. Just choose the Portfolio page template under Page Attributes in your edit page. Then you should see an option to choose a specific portfolio type for that page. http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/templates/portfolio-page-template/

I got the following warning on my website *Login to see link which warning comes already up before the Login page for the WP admin. It says:

Warning: Parameter 2 to WC_Catalog_Restrictions_Query::posts_where() expected to be a reference, value given in /home1/gifts/public_html/victorianalimited.com/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 286

I used the Codeguard Restore a few times with previous backups but no success; the message is still there with all 3 restorations I tried. This message was not there when these backups have been made. It’s too obvious and I would have noticed it because of the malfunctioning of the sliders.
If there is anyone able to help me with this, it would be very much appreciated!

This website with Virtue Premium is already running 4 years without issues but now a few days ago the above message came on at the top of the web page and the 2 slider are not properly working and have also a message. The website is now restored with the backup from 16 December 2018 and the plugin updates have been done again (WP 5.0.2)

1) But when I click at the front page on Home, then the 2 sliders have a message and are malfunctioning and there is a big gap between the 2 sliders. The warning message at the top is now always there. I thought it has to do with the new versions of the plugins and WP 5.0.02 but in contrast with that the other websites with the same plugins and updates are working properly see: victoriana.co.nz foilengravedcards.com and heroncards.com
So I’m puzzled and do not know how to solve it? The only thing that I can think of is that I noticed this phenomena after I updated the Terms of Trade. Something strange did happen there?? But I’m not sure. At the moment the old terms of trade are on it. If needed there is one codeguard backup available with all of this in the 24 December CG backup.

2) And if I click on the category Classic Xmas Cards or on Little Notes then they seem to work normal, but message is still there at the top.I still have access to the back and there I find nothing wrong?

Unfortunately i also have to ask for help on this:

I have a parent product category that has 3 subcategories that must NOT be displayed on the shop page or in the product filter of the shop page.
So it would look like this:
– the parent product category page shows all the products of the the children and a product filter that shows the 3 children categories. This works now.
– the shop page showing all other products that are not in the category above AND a product category filter for this products.
Probleme here: products are filtered correctly by the code below but the children categoryes of the hiden parent category show in the filter. If i add the children categories to the array of excluded categories they also get hidden in the filter on the category page.

So the Product Filter is influenced by the code below and does not care about my IF is_shop statement:

Hey,

You can set the default page title image in Theme Options> Page Title, “Page Header Default Background.”

This can be overridden on every page or post.

In Theme Options > Shop Settings set “Show Ratings in Shop and Category Pages” to “Off”. Does that work for you?
