Hello Ben!
I have Ascend-Recent Posts widget on the front page. 3 times. Is this possible to display only the post titles, with no images? This would hopefully reduce a little the image content size of the front page….
I know that the simple wordpress Posts widget would do this, but I need your ascend widget to limit recent posts to specific categories.
Page is still this:

Hi, I wanted to ask for your help. I put a search widget in all the pages inserted in a tarcera column (because if not it was the entire width) but the problem is that in some pages I’m ok and in others the margin is unbalanced because it should be just below the network icons social … I appreciate your help
PD the widget code is copied the same in all the pagesexamples
*Login to see linkIn forum: Virtue ThemeI have a site that the update from 4.8.0 to 4.8.2 has this same issue – the site is working on 4.8.0 but when we upgrade the site shows a page with the header and footer, but nothing in between.
The site doesn’t use a child theme. PHP 7.2
We’ve rolled back from a backup, so working now, but is this still a known issue. Happy to provide login if this helps…
Thanks
SteveIn forum: Virtue ThemeSuperstar! Thank you, I toggled it to off for the catalog page and that fixed the ungainly cropping. The image dimensions are now correct.
Regarding the descriptions, on that book page (https://www.redfernnaturalhistory.com/books/), when I hover over the Portfolio items in the second set of images, the description comes up as a nice hover. I love this implementation.
However, when I tried to implement this on the WooCommerce products listed at the top (the descriptions now sit below the product images), nothing seemed to work. I couldn’t find another example of it elsewhere on the forum. Would you have any pointers? No problem if not; I don’t mean to take up so much of your time.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeHello there,
I’ve had to recreate our book product page (previously using Kadence’s portfolio items only since our seller was external) to create two tiers, one of which now includes book titles that are sold by us directly (via WooCommerce). You can view the output here:
I would like the first tier to match the second in dimensions and hover behaviours. Is this possible? We do not like the current inconsistency between the two outputs.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best wishes,

October 11, 2018 at 2:42 pm #203995Hey,
There isn’t a built-in way to do that. It’s default the name of hte social media site.To override you would have to create your own widget through a child theme or you could possibly add in javascript that changed the text on page load but that wouldn’t be ideal for performance and not something I could recommend.
The widget is meant to be simple and perhaps you might want to test out some plugins that would add more options.

With this WP latest update it placed an ‘Add to Cart’ button in each block of the homepage, even 2 buttons above the header.
The homepage blocks are out of horizontal scale and position. Any solutions to fixing this error? Thanks.

October 11, 2018 at 10:35 am #203956Hey, You need to start a new thread for new questions.
Pagebuilders are there own plugins you can check with there support for how to hide for specific users. If you are using siteorigin I’m not aware of a way to do this you would have to talk with the plugin authors.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Kadence Slider covering menu and not full width
Ok – If I try to do the full width picture another way by inserting a Virtue Image Widget into page builder and upload my image to the background, it is about 95% of the width of the screen. Are there any settings that would be preventing this from being full width?
Also, my menu appears to still be floating. I have the sticky menu option off. Is there another setting within the theme that I need to address?
Thank you for your help.

Hey,
Something is effecting the visibility of those widgets and hiding them on all pages besides the home. As for the search, that’s not a part of your home content area so you wont be able to get it to show on all pages unless you add it to all other pages content.
If you can post a login I should be able to figure out why the widgets are being hidden, and I can setup a search in the header widget area that will show on all pages.

October 11, 2018 at 9:39 am #203942It’s because of this plugin: woocommerce-myparcel
It’s adding css that is breaking that layout. Add this into your theme options > custom css and it will force that plugin to stop breaking the layout.
.woocommerce form .form-row-quart-first, .woocommerce-page form .form-row-quart-first, .woocommerce form .form-row-quart, .woocommerce-page form .form-row-quart { float: none; width: 100%; } @media (min-width: 768px) { .woocommerce form .form-row-quart-first, .woocommerce-page form .form-row-quart-first { padding-right:15px; float:left; width:25%; } .woocommerce form .form-row-quart, .woocommerce-page form .form-row-quart { float:left; width:25%; } }Ben

url: *Login to see link
Below “WHO WILL WE DISCOVER NEXT? To purchase click on a wine label below” you can see the first row (which is the Carrousel I tried implementing) and how it used to display.
#1 – I would like to have the Carousel display my portfolio items in a LANDSCAPE mode and that every image is the same size. How do I do that?
#2 – At the end of the page, below “MEET THE MAKERS, REQUEST A PRIVATE TASTING” I would like to have the same Carrousel scroller for my Staff members. How do I remove the preview text under each staff?
Thank you!

Ok – I changed the home page to default template. That moved the topbar back to the top of the screen, along with main menu bar?? Then slider is showing underneath that quite distorted, really tall and out of proportion. Is there any way to have the slider appear between the topbar and the main menu bar? I increased the size of the picture to 2000×740 to make full width – but that hasn’t helped.
Thanks for your help.
