Hey,
In your shop page, on the edit do you have transparent header turned on? That would make it so that header would overlap your image. And so if you turned that off you wouldn’t need to edit the image to fill that space.

You can also add an image right in the content of your shop page and that would show above your products. If you have the page title turned off it would appear below the header.

I’m trying to put in image on the shop page. I don’t want a slider just an image. I can load one image in a slider but the image doesn’t go below the header – the header is on top of it and covers a bit of it. I can modify the image as a workaround but I’d rather not as this could be changing.

Is there a way to put an image in the shop page header with no slider?

Hey,
I’m not sure what you mean by “upload it to your file manager”? I don’t have access to your web file manager nor would it make sense to upload something there.

You have something wrong on your server in your settings if it takes 15 seconds for the server to process and output an empty WordPress page. Whatever that problem is is likely directly related to why when you try to import you get a 500 (server) error. The importer is used across thousands of servers and sites. We are no talking about some kind of common problem with the importer.

Most hosts wouldn’t have this issues to start with and if they did they would help resolve server errors. It’s certainly not customary for a theme developer to log in to your server is fix it so it can properly run WordPress at normal speeds. That is usually what you pay hosting for.

I happen to know how to troubleshoot servers and am willing to take a look at your server settings but I need access. If you aren’t comfortable with that I understand but I want to make it clear that I don’t believe this is an issue with the importer at all. Especially given how many people are using it across a wide range of servers. But if it somehow were a plugin issue I would need access to your server to see what that issue is because Thus far you’ve only posted server errors. For example:

PHP Warning: POST Content-Length of 8806278 bytes exceeds the limit of 8388608 bytes.

^ Is not a plugin issue it’s an issue with settings on your server.

So, in the end, I don’t know how to help you without getting access to your server. And while I would frankly prefer to not have to troubleshoot a server as part of theme support but I’m willing because I understand anytime there is an issue everyone points fingers. With support here I would rather just fix your issue regardless of where it’s from then point fingers and be no help.

Hi Guys,

Am using Asecnd Premium with ASCEND VIDEO PORTFOLIO layout.

Are using the full page video options on the home page and it looks awesome on the laptop – but on mobile no matter what settings we use (even taking off full width/height) can we get it to play the video properly.

On mobile it always just plays from the top-left only and falls off the screen. I had another look at your ASCEND VIDEO PORTFOLIO Demo and it works exactly the way we want for desktop and mobile – not sure what we’ve done wrong! (Sorry have spent ages looking into this before posting the question!)

I just looked, and again the custom excerpt was still there still set.

I went in removed it and now on your front page I see a longer excerpt.

While editing a post scroll down till you see the box labeled “excerpt” that is where you set a custom excerpt. If you don’t see that box click “screen options” in the top right corner and check the box for it.

Thanks again, Ben. I can see how using an iframe is definitely setting up difficulties.

It does give such a better user-experience than using an image when demonstrating websites, though.
I have used your code above and combined it with a media-query to give the combination of a decent full screen display on a larger display, then collabsing down without the white-space on tablet and phone.

So the carousel at the bottom of the homepage now shows a “list” of recent websites.
Click on any of the images there and you go through to a page about that website. Example. The display shows all the movement that is happening on the website itself – which I can’t show with an image.
On phone and tablet you still get a decent rendition of the target website.

I now need to reverse the order of the columns on tablet and phone so that the description appears above the iframe, but that’s another piece of work!

I just tested on my site and the message stays present after sending, so I believe this is the default behavior. I’m not sure what you mean by “webmail.” The form should just send emails to whatever email you’ve setup wordpress with.

If you’re concerned that emails aren’t being sent properly, then I suggest trying this plugin to verify they’re sending:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/check-email/

So this is only through google search? If so, this isn’t controlled by the theme and it’s likely that Google is still caching the old pages. They should go away after a few days.

Hi Kevin,

Here’s the link to my contact form. (https://www.academicenglishservices.com/contact/). The maths seems to work now, but the message stays on the contact form after sending it. Is that normal? And the webmail still doesn’t receive mails sent via the form, only my gmail.

I reserved the permalink but the NOT FOUND error is still there. The pages they point to (just 2 as far as i can see) don’t exist, they are from old pages I deleted permanently some time ago but still come up. Could this be something to do with my cache? If so, how do I clean it in a way that I don’t lose other useful elements? I’ve never been sure about cleaning the cache, always a bit nervous I’ll lose something important.

I note that on this page they have a shortcode for getting the image, but I’m not sure that’s usable within the template? [sdm_show_download_info id="123" download_info="thumbnail"]

Site style 1 has the front page set as a static page (settings > reading). Then in Theme Options > Home Layout in the Homepage Layout Manager Icon Menu is enabled, then Featured Products, then Portfolio Carousel, then Latest Blog Posts. And then lastly, Page Content. Page Content will display whatever you have enabled in your static page. Which in the demo, it is a call to action widget enabled through Page Builder and with the row background set to parallax with a background image.
Hope that explains it well! Let me know if you have questions on specific configurations.

Hello, using Pinnacle Premium, I have embedded youtube video into a Kadence Slider which appears on my homepage. I also use a background image since it takes a few seconds to load and I wanted to avoid a blank screen. All works well except as soon as the video starts, the youtube logo is visible for 2-3 seconds in the lower right side of the screen directly above the footer. I have it set to full height and full width. How can I have the youtube logo removed?

Hi Hannah, thanks so much for getting back to me! As I was reviewing the style, I realized I would have no need for any of the woocommerce components, but I was wondering if there was any custom styling or settings done on this front page that the tutorial doesn’t cover (I had already reviewed that, but thank you for taking the time to send me the link!).
