In forum: Ascend ThemeI’ve started to notice a worrying issue with switching themes when using Ascend.
I’ve had some plugin conflicts, so have had to switch to default themes to check issues.
However, when I do this and switch back to the original theme all of my customisations and CSS additions have been wiped and the theme is back to its default setting. It’s particularly harsh on the home page which is completely stripped of its settings.
Importing the theme settings that I previously backed up appears to do nothing.

August 21, 2018 at 1:11 am #199473I added the CSS to the Theme CSS Customization and deleted the cache. The problem still persists.
You can check yourself with IE11 at https://www.festambiente.it/ (Home page above the counters)

August 20, 2018 at 8:59 pm #199465Well that is really an odd thing. Pagebuilder is outputing css as if it were added to a three column row and it’s not. And I can’t seem to get page builder to clear the cache. I added a workaround by adding an empty column above yours but I believe this is an issue with caching not being reset. Is it possible your server is caching? Do you know if they are adding their own cache?

August 20, 2018 at 8:45 pm #199464Hey,
Sorry to hear you are having trouble. I would love to help!If you edit the page that you’ve set as your front page and add content to it do you not see it showing on the front end? From what I can see you have “page content” enabled just above the “latest posts” in your theme options > home layout settings.
What kind of content will go in this “featured in” section are you asking more how to automate that?
Ben

August 20, 2018 at 7:48 pm #199452Hey,
I’m seeing that you are using pagebuilder and adding all your content into one column of page builder. Can you send me a login so I can look at your settings?Ben

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi, I am using the Image Carousel Slider on my Homepage and I have titles for each of the images that used to be there and now aren’t. This disappearance happened quite a few updates ago, but I haven’t had the time to post. I tried to go into settings, but didnt see anything.

That link is set in Appearance> Menus by adding the category your menu. Your Categories should show just as any other page when creating menus there. If you don’t see the categories as an option there, then open “screen options” at the top of the page, and be sure the product categories box is ticked.
Here’s more info on creating menus in wordpress:

Did you check under Products> Categories as I suggested above? You should be able to find them there. The categories will not appear in your post or page lists.
Here’s more info from WooCommerce’s documentation:

I think I’m having a hard time grasping that.
I’ve created a new parent category called “brushes’ with 3 sub-categories to that. But I do not see those pages, or anything called the category archive page in my admin panel, under post or pages.
Is there something I need to do in Woo Commerce to activate this? (the plugin is already activated).
