I am talking about the sidebar in the main content area. There is a template setting for full width or a right hand sidebar. I would like to use a left navigation (sidebar) on my shop pages, since most online shops have left side navigation and people tend to look for them there. I still like the right navigation (sidebar) on the blog pages.

I would like to have an archive index page where I can show archives by month and by subject ( with a sidebar)
Basic I would like to keep, as much as I can, the structure of the main site, the one with theme that will be replaced by Virtue Premium soon.

Hey James,
I’m updating the theme today with a fix. So make sure you get version 1.5.2 (should be available in 15 min from this post).

The update also gives you options for a sidebar on the home page 🙂

For now to make the link work just add ” to the end of it.

So like http://www.example.com”

And the link will automatically open in a new tab.

If you have hundreds of products I wouldn’t use the filter at the top of the page. You can turn if off in the theme options. You should use a menu. The filter only sorts through the products you have showing. I suggest a sidebar with a category menu or a drop-down with categories from your shop menu.

OH my god, I had just closed the attributes and hadn’t noticed. I thought that I would tell you that in case someone else did it as well and thought they were going crazy.
Just noticed the time there. You work late. 2.20pm Thursday here in Melbourne Australia, but in saying that, I work till all hours myself.

You need to use the sidebar template. (it’s a option in the page attributes)

Then once you save the page or publish the page you will see an option to select a sidebar under the content box.

Can you tell me how to select if I want a sidebar on other pages. I thought that I saw the option to change from default template to another, but it seems to have disappeared. I think I am going mad.

Hey Glenda, The theme is currently not set up to have a sidebar on the home page. This is a request I am working to add in the next version, as your not the first to ask for it. But it’s complicated because of all the options you can have on the home page. I hope to have it released in the next week.

I am at a loss to work out how I get a sidebar on the front page. I have tried multiple variations, but just can’t work it out.
I have tried using posts rather than static. but it still wont let me have a sidebar.
Can you advise how to do it.

Is there a way to make the entire testimonial show up and not link to a “continued” or “read more”?
Even if i set the words to show to “50,000” it still cuts off the testimonial and puts the links.
