Yeah, seems very similar. The issue here is that this is my own server and I know that it has permissions to do it. I update my other themes the same way just fine.

I am using a multisite config, but this was happening before that.

Here is strange thing #1:
The update won’t show up in wordpress until the theme is active. If the theme is not active, it’s not showing up. don’t know why, but that is the way it is.

If I try to update with the theme inactive, it says successful, but just keeps the current version.

If I try to update with the theme active, it fails with error messages basically saying access denied. I think what is happening is that the files in the active theme are still being accessed by the system when it tries to remove the theme directory, so it causes errors and Windows won’t delete a folder.

Just a guess.

I can copy and paste from the website to update the theme, but every time I try to update in wordpress, it crashes and leaves it in maintenance mode.

Could not remove the old theme.

Theme update failed.

It says it cannot remove old theme, but it deletes everything but a single folder inside the theme folder. The user has correct permissions in Windows. I can update other themes just fine. It has been this way for nearly a year, since I first installed. The theme is activated. Any ideas?

“this browser sucks, please get a real one” – If thats an option I choose that!

Thankfully I have seen this error before. It’s a bug with the edge browser and jquery migrate. It only effects some people on some servers. I’ve only seen this twice.

But there is a workaround using this plugin: https://github.com/cedaro/dequeue-jquery-migrate/archive/develop.zip

You can install that and your site will work.

I just checked and it is not working in IE either. While it would be great to dismiss this by saying the browser sucks, it really should be working on all major browsers.

In internet explorer, there are a few console errors showing up, so I suggest that you disable plugins on your site one by one and checking the issue after each. This will eliminate or expose a plugin as the culprit.

Try doing that then clearing your cache, and let me know what you find.

Hey,
The whole point of the simple mobile header is that it replaces your header so if you are confident you want the topbar then you don’t want to use the mobile header.

If you want to see an example of the mobile header check out the demo here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium-3/

There is no option for you to have your “logo” (right now it’s just text) “move” into the topbar when you scroll. the point of the simple mobile header is that it’s all in one line already.

So I want to make sure I understand what you want. You want the whole header sticky? Your topbar, logo (or site title) and tagline to remain sticky when you scroll? Understanding that it’s about 1/4 of the height of mobile phones. Meaning when someone is viewing your site on a mobile phone they have a pretty significant header blocking part of there screen from seeing your site?

I don’t recommend this route but if your determined it’s possible and I can help you do that.

Finally you asked about logo size. If your refering to the mobile header you determine the height of the mobile header in the settings. I suggest making the height of your logo twice the height you set. (hd screens need twice the px) then the width can be whatever makes sense for the ratio of the image logo based on the height.

Please post a link to your site where your having issue with the mini cart.

In terms of another site design please be very specific about what your wanting. For example (you might like how the header is laid out or the slider or footer…

Also understand this is a theme, there are demos you can look at for some example layouts but it’s not designed to copy another site for you to do that you would need to develop it yourself.

After theme update last week, and update of slider revolution the post-based news slider on my website caused the entire FrontPage to dissappear. It was all white screen. I resolved the issue temporarily by removing the slider from the page and the page shows up as normal.
I use other Revolution sliders on the website and they all work just fine like before the update. The only issue discovered so far is the post-based sliders.

Also, when i try to preview the slider in the back end it won’t preview. Only white screen.
What might cause this?

Hi Ben,

The message I got was:

Revolution Slider Error: You have some jquery.js library include that comes after the revolution files js include. This includes make eliminates the revolution slider libraries, and make it not work.

To fix it you can:
1. In the Slider Settings -> Troubleshooting set option: Put JS Includes To Body option to true.
2. Find the double jquery.js include and remove it.

I’m also getting this one on the dashboard:
Slider Revolution error: could not unzip into the revslider/public/assets/ folder, please make sure that this folder is writable

Since I like a site that’s easy to maintain and I already read some critical reviews regarding this slider’s security settings, load times and workability I decided to replace it. Feel free to advise however on why I got this message and if it’s related to the 404 errors you found.

Anyway regarding your answers:

1. That’s really is a shame and the one reason why I chose the revolution slider in the first place. I would like to have an introduction on the landing page that plays only once, not a continuously playing animation. Would you consider adding this option in the near future or do you know of another slider that has this option?

2. Thanks for the code! May I suggest this would be a nice option as well to program into you slider?

3. OK. How can I set it to expand across the full width of the screen?
