Topic: Portfolio Order
Hi,
I just wondered what decides the order that portfolio items are displayed in the selector?
As you can see at *Login to see link if you view the ‘XHTML’ portfolio items, they are not in session order. For example…Session 1, Session 2, Session 3 etc.
Thanks

Hi Ben, I need to be able to set up several demo sites over the next couple of weeks….so I’m usinging the site jhartmannjewellers for some practice. I took on board all you said above
and got my hosting company to increase execution time to 300. But I’m still having problemsI uploaded new wordpress, latest virtue theme and latest importer plugin plus all the relevant plugins
and tried to upload demo 3 It still came up with the message execution time to short. I did as you suggested and clicked on the import demo content button again. This time message came up to say demo had uploaded successfully. However it does not appear to have worked properly and this is the result I’m getting
https://flic.kr/p/G4BPe6Is there something I’m doing wrong?

April 7, 2016 at 12:16 pm #89634Hey,
There are quite a few things happening. the main thing is your browser. for example try your site using firefox. It will work like you want.Chrome has yet to use the same technology as firefox in this. So it rebuilds the page. even if partially cached. It also tries to remember where you were based on the height from the top of the page. When rebuilding the page the grid has to be re aligned and since it’s not static content it’s height isn’t determined until the page is loaded and thus when chrome tries to scroll you to where you were it’s not possible because the page isn’t loaded enough to be that high yet.
While I’ve been hoping for browser to work more like firefox I am working on an css trick that would make even chrome not have to redetermine the iso grid size, look for that in the next couple updates.

Hi Ben,
Apologies for the late reply.
The css is there but nothing changed on the website on mobile. Am I doing something wrong?Regarding the footer – its just very big, the text is so big it takes up a whole page size on mobile. Is there a way I could just get contact and social for example in the footer? So it would be on one page on mobile as well.
Also, probably not a very smart question, but how can I get the location Tallinn, Estonia in footer to be on the same line as the pin? And the Kuku Trading text in footer to be the same size as the rest of the text there.
Thanks so much,,
Mona

April 7, 2016 at 10:41 am #89608I have tested with both yaost and the slider no issue with fonts. Are you sure it’s yoast. If deactivating a plugin helped maybe you need to increase the max memory on your sites php. What version of php are you using?

I’m sorry, I entered the wrong web address in my previous message… This issue is for the following website: https://groomsring.com/product-category/gold/14k-designer-rings/

Hi,
I have the Virtue-Pro theme and when I began entering products in the categories, I noticed that when I’m scrolling down browsing through the product thumbnails in any category then click on a thumbnail image to view the product details and then click BACK to go back to the previous product thumbnails list to continue browsing where I left off, it does not take me back to the same location/area where I stopped and clicked on the thumbnail. It just refreshes the page and takes me back to the top of the page so if I want to continue where I left off, I have to scroll way down from the top each and every time after clicking on a thumbnail and viewing a product’s details. This can get frustrating for shoppers and result in abandonment. Is there a setting for this that I am not aware about? I hope so.
My Goal: After I view a product in the product details page, I want to go back to the very same spot in the product category thumbnails list where I stopped and clicked on a particular thumbnail in order to be able to continue to browsing from where I left off.

April 7, 2016 at 10:07 am #89593Hi,
I’ve been struggling with “my account” site. I really want a Login button on the topbar, right next to the “your cart” button, if the computer is not signed in. Is that possible?
Is it possible to get a sidebar both on left and right on the site “shop”?
I’m using Woocommerce.
I hope you can answer my questions. In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Footer Height

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Portfolio Type Pages Filter
Hi Ben!
thanks a lot, I’ve done 🙂
Just a another thing… if in this page http://www.officinasullenuvole.it/portfolio/ I would like to show just the parent category filters and not the subcategory filters how can I do? I was thinking about setting “no filters” in the portfolio page options and then using an html code to recall the filter but just the categories I want.. is it possible? The goal is to show all the craft works in the main portfolio page with the possibility to filter them just for “All”, “Altro” “Carta” “Ceramica” “Legno” and then in the category pages – as http://www.officinasullenuvole.it/ceramica-4/ about Ceramica – to show the subcategory filters. My problem is that if I set “filter: yes” in the main portfolio page, the website displays all the filters and there are too many if shown all togheter… is a little bit complicated but I hope you will understand me…Thanks again in advance.

Hi I am starting a new thread as suggested by Hannah (tx). Below copy-pasting the former exchange

April 7, 2016 at 4:44 am #89560Hi, I’m having a similar problem. I put social buttons in the footer (Pinnacle widget) and they were working ifne until some days ago, then they got somehow “locked” (nothing happens hovering or clicking on them, neither the link nor the color change work – they do not even activate the “hand” icon to notify it’s a clickable button).
Interestingly, they do work on mobile and the color changes in the “customize” preview from the dashboard – which sounds bizarre.
Note: the website is currently kept off-line by means of a double log-in process. However it has been like this since its very beginning, and everything was working fine. Also, the same is on mobile. Last but not least: I do have some plugins but have not added further ones (and do not have Lightbox2, BTW) that may cause things to have changed. Help… 🙂

April 7, 2016 at 9:10 am #89582Hey Martina,
I would suggest deactivating your plugins to test if any are interfering. If that doesn’t work then it’s really hard to say without a link. Are you using the latest version of the theme? And are wordpress and your plugins up to date? Would you be able to start a new thread and send login info in a private reply?Hannah

Hi Edgar,
1. Looks like your site is in maintenance mode. You can try adding this css:#containerfooter { padding-top: 0; margin-top: -40px; }Just paste it in your custom css box in Theme Options > Custom CSS. If that doesn’t work could you temporarily remove maintenance mode so we can take a look?
2. That’s added into the Kadence Slider. You can edit by going to the Kadence Slider settings from the admin panel.
