Topic: Website speed// gallery
Hi,
Could you please advice how to adjust my gallery so that it doesn’t slow down the website.
Please check out 2 galleries.
1- the pictures are light, gallery looks good but when you click on the picture, it is too small. Could I turn off the light box so it’s impossible to see a pop-up picture? or what size of picture is optimal for upload?- *Login to see link
2- looks perfect, possible to make a picture bigger, but pictures in png are too big and slow down the website – *Login to see link
Thanks a lot in advance for your advice.
Kind regards

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeHello,
I´have had the pinnacle free und upgraded to the premium theme. I had Problems with die wordpress Editor right from the beginning.
Ther was None. So I got the CK Editor Plugin. That works but now i`have had the Problem that I could not make galleries in WordPress or with the Page Builder.
After deactivating the plugin I was able to create galleries without any problems (I can live with that) , but now I can not Change text in the widgets from page builder. (for example in your demo content “About” site.) If I activte the plugin I can see the html code, but even after changing the text there, there is no saving for that. With deactivating the plugin I can even not see the html ….Best regards

Hi Sylvie,
Again, I am so so sorry for the delay! I promise this is not intentionally being ignored. Are you using a plugin to translate your site? Are you also using one to make it multilingual? It looks like there is a code somewhere that is hiding your logo, I’m just not sure what is outputting that.Hannah

If you take a look at my dev site and look at the icon menu labeled ‘Balls’ and tell me what I need to do to make the links I have set in the message box wrap nicely instead of new line each time. *Login to see link

In forum: Pinnacle Themehi!
I love the look of the blog style set up for the pinnacle theme.
I do not want to have the blog section of my website as the front/home page, but I do want to use the recent posts carousel on the blog page of my site. I can’t seem to figure out how to do that? or if I can do that?Any advice would help! Cheers!
In forum: Virtue ThemeHey there,
Our current site uses Virtue Premium, and is based on your Site Style 4, which works very nicely. However, when visiting on a mobile device, the Home page slider (using the Kadence Slider) is not very appropriate, as the images are too big for a mobile screen. Is there a setting I am missing to have these slider images re-size down for the mobile screen? I have tried creating a different “mobile” slider (with Cyclone), and then selecting it’s use in the Home Mobile Slider settings. But what I seem to end up with is the the standard home screen slider at the top of the page (with it’s blown out images), and the new “mobile” Cyclone slider below. I would like to just have this Cyclone slider show on mobile devices (or just be able to re-size the images for mobile in the Kadence Slider. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: topbar shopping cart Value
Almost works…
Now, when an amount displays, it is the correct one … but depending on the page where I am, the basket sometimes displays 0.
The amount does not add immediately when I click on the “add to basket” button, I have to go the detailed cart page.
(I had to remove your code on my website, but I can but it back for a short while if you need to test it).In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Page Builder by SiteOrigin white page (home)
January 19, 2016 at 3:34 pm #76549Ok, I feel like I’m not communicating clearly. Can you please verify that you have looked at your php error logs?
I’m seeing this error on your site: ERR_INCOMPLETE_CHUNKED_ENCODING

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben
Also the site is now displaying Available on backorderwhen a product is out of stock, not the leadtime created in the custom feilds as it was prior to CHristmas.
Could I ask if it’s possible to take a look at the function.php history to see if any of this may have been deleted?

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: wp-updates outage?
January 19, 2016 at 1:57 pm #76514Hey,
1. wp-updates is having an outage.
2. Just recently they became very unreliable.
3. Already moved. That took place with update 3.4.0 (current version is 3.4.5).
4. Even if your using an older version it shouldn’t break your site to check for updates even if the updater is down. That points to your server not stopping the check. It’s not something anyone else has reported so makes me think that would have to do with your php settings or something else on your server.regardless you can remove the folder via ftp (that would activate a default theme) then you can login and upload the latest version of the theme (download here: https://www.kadencewp.com/my-account/). In doing this you will not lose your theme settings.

In forum: Virtue ThemeEntering *Login to see link on *Login to see link I get:
WARNING: the "29 Jul 2013" value in the datePublished field is not a valid date. Dates should be in the ISO 8601 format
Some with my own website, but I thought its clearer to show the error with the vanilla virtue website. Could this be fixed?
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Where can i find activation code for revolution
January 19, 2016 at 1:32 pm #76506from a different topic:
You don’t get a activation code when using the slider through a theme license. When you purchased a theme you got access to use the plugin on one site through the themes license. This is separate from direct licensing from the plugin authors and there has always been a way for you to enter a purchase code if you wanted direct support and updates from the plugin authors (on previous versions of the slider it was hidden by default).
Recently the revolution slider plugin authors have made a push to offer some special things if you get a license directly from them. Things like direct updates from them instead of having to get updates as the theme updates. and direct support from them, they also started offering some demo sliders that they are calling “premium templates” and this is just a quick way to add some demo sliders that you can copy into your site. These are only accessible if you purchase directly from them. But you can download demos here for free: http://revolution.themepunch.com/free-slider-exchange/

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: wp-updates outage?
Another detail (after reading your Support Policy post and in case it helps answer my questions). My WordPress site is molive.org
As things currently stand, to get the Dashboard working I think I either have to wait for wp-updates.com to come back online or if there is an alternative updater site I need to edit the appropriate files to make the theme look elsewhere for its updater.
Please advise.
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: wp-updates outage?
I should mention that I do not have automatic updates turned on. I assume that the wp-updates.com site is being accessed merely to check whether or not the theme is up-to-date. Based on this, I would expect that even if my Virtue Premium theme was up-to-date, the theme would still need to check some updater site to know that it was up-to-date.
In searching the web for answers I also found a site that checks whether a website is down for others or just for me (i.e. the problem is local to my situation). This site confirms that the wp-updates site is down: http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/wp-updates.com.html
Also, to correct a typo in my original post, it was during the December outage that I first tried setting WP_DEBUG = true, not in November. I did find another mention of an outage like this in the WordPress forums: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-updatescom-timing-out-slowing-down-dashboard
I’m still a little puzzled why there aren’t other mentions of this problem on your support forums, given that it seems to be a recurring issue that persists for days at a time and prevents access to the Dashboard screen.
Thanks,
Paul J. -
