Topic: wp-admin problem
Hi,
My website has been running properly for a long time without fixes.
But last month, I’ve been noticing difficulties to access my admin panel. Waiting for ages to access one menu. At the same time a recent problem came : I couldn’t create a gallery with more than 5 images.I’ve been contacting my 1and1 host to create my php.ini and run a script.
my php.ini contains :
safe_mode = off;
upload_max_filesize = 10M;
post_max_size = 10M;
memory_limit = 128M;
max_input_vars = 10000;So I think it’ll work, but not sure. Not sure because my admin panel is still very very slow, bugging some times.
The strange fact is that I can work in my wp-admin from my smartphone without a problem.I don’t understand where it can come from, desactivating all my plugins didn’t change a thing, so I just left the basics to let my website look normal.
If you have any idea that can help be I’ll be happy.Thanks for reading,

http://www.samtim.frPS : I have to point the fact that I don’t have adsl at home, my internet connection comes from an Astra satellite, my provider is Nordnet, I live and work in France. I know for a fact that downloading is not a priority with that kind of connection, it always freezes and start back to beginning to give more broadband to normal surfing, I also know that till i don’t have a place to work in a city I’ll have to stick to my 648kbps…

You’re correct. The “call to action” wording looks fine now on my phone. But not on mobile where it still looks very small. So I guess I’ll have to learn how to create a child theme now. But before I do, is it best to complete the full website first?
I’m also having another challenge. I’m trying to create a “call to action” over a parallax background on my home page. I’ve had no problem creating the background, but no matter how many times I type in the information for the “call to action” it doesn’t take. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. I’d be fine doing this another way – adding text and then a button, but I couldn’t get that to save either. I want the words VIDEO PRODUCTION STORYTELLING WRITING to appear over the background with a button underneath that says “learn more” that I want to connect to an About Us page I still have to create.

Can someone please explain to me how I can get the picture over the full length of the screen just above the footer and just below latest from blog.
I have searched and tried many things, but I can’t seem to find it.To clarify a little bit, I don’t want the read more button, I just would like that picture of that mountain (I will put another of course) over the width of my page.
I did not use the page builder to create my home page, i used theme options and home layout.

i used page builder and wigdets to create site,
im also using betterpay plugin for payments and something goes wrong.
as u can see on the page *Login to see link the green button “Kup Teraz” doesnt work it just moving page up.
it works well on post pages like here *Login to see link posts are created without widgets.

1. That css Hannah posted is actually two broad. It will have negative effects in other places on your site.. But I have a shortcode built in for this so you can do it outside of the widget options in pagebuilder. It’s the simple box shortcode and you can add it with padding and a background and set the transparency of just the background. In the furture you can just click “virtue shortcodes” to add. So I updated your widget and added that and removed the widget settings in pagebuilder. You can check it out in the page but here is what is in your widget now:

Just to hit this point along with hannah. The whole point in using a responsive theme and frankly supporting mobile devices is so the content is displayed at a readable size. Google now lowers sites in search results if they require you to zoom in to click links and make text readable. Now while you can’t turn this off in the theme you can make all your pagebuilder columns un responsive, meaning they will not break down for mobile. I strongly don’t recommend this but I think it might be good for you to see how it looks like that so you can understand what we mean. In your settings > pagebuilder you can use the settings to turn off the responsive columns.

When a image is in parallax it set as a fixed background and it’s set to be the height and width of your screen since the scrolling will pass by the whole screen. So if your image ratio is really horizontal then it has to stretch your image to be the height of the screen else you would be scrolling right out of the image. For parallax I suggest an image like 2000 by 1300px.
You can choose to use “cover” instead of fullwidth then your image will just have the cover the container area and not the screen but if you want parallax then you need to get a image with a ratio that is closer to a screen size.

Thank you so much. I am getting really happy now about the theme. I can see that with just a few little twigs here and there it’ll look AWESOME.
I am going through the directions and just have a few more questions.

Re the line
1. I LOVE the line on either side of _____products _____ etc and even managed to find out how to increase the space between the text and the line a little bit.
What I am still trying to figure out however is how to increase the space on the home page between
1. ‘Products on sale’ text and the actual products below it
2. the same for ‘featured products’ and
3. how to increase the space between the products below the words ‘best selling products’ and the space above that text and the parallax sliderre the parallax, on the home page
I can’t seem to prevent it from ‘blowing up’ enlarging my image. I want it full width but it is cutting off too much of my image and making it look too big. I have saved smaller sized images and that doesn’t make a difference.I think I have played with every setting I can find on that with no improvement.
Can I set it so its full width but doesn’t enlarge the photo and have it fall off?Thanks again

Hi,
I have a couple questions about some problems I’m having on this site, so I apologize in advance. The website is http://www.silverkeysolution.com
1. Each “feature” page has the same layout: 1 large image with a white visual editor widget. How can I turn down the opacity of the white background to 50%?
Ex. *Login to see link2. On the home page, I can’t seem to change the type on the row with “Virtue: Image Menu Item” widgets. I’d like the type to be centered over the images and in this color: #004a8c
3. Finally, I’m not loving the way all this looks on mobile. I’d think I’d like the columns to appear exactly how they are on the website. For example, on the home page, I have 1 row with the revolution slider, 1 row with 5 columns, and 1 row with 3 columns. I really just want it to look exactly the same as it does on the desktop site.

Hello Lovely people !
I am trying to build an e commerce site using virtue premium, in WordPress with woo commerce.
The first issue is that I am having difficulty understanding the correlation between the normal wordpress functionality,
and the virtue premium. function, in terms of pages and blogs.
The second issue is that I am having problems creating sub menus in the shop area. I presume that the shop area is were all the products,
are displayed ? so there should be a way of categorising the items ?
Lastly, I was trying to intergrade my e bay shop into this using html template but it is not working out. I tried it but I am unable to edit it properly.
The question is this: Id there any videos that I can watch that will help me with this ?
I have tried u tube but that did not seem to help.Any help would be much appreciated. Many Thank u in advance.

I’ve had something happening lately that seems random…visiting my site (*Login to see link ) will bring up a slew of strange characters.
This was sent to me by one of my readers, from her Iphone:
I had that happen to me once before, on Firefox on a Mac, and within 5 minutes, it was back to normal.
Any ideas? Is this a Virtue thing, or my host? I’m grasping at straws here!
