Hey there,

I was wondering if there is a way to centre the images that are shown on the revolution slider. The images show from the top edge down, but I would like the slider to show the image width, but the area of the image that is displayed is the centre area of the image.

Is this possible.

I can’t come up with a portfolio type site I am happy with, I suppose getting the slider right might start that along.

In the Theme Options on the Home Layout Section I’ve added the Latest Blog Posts widget. For this widget the Title is displayed as “Latest From The Blog”. How can I change this text to say “Latest News”? Website is http://www.toptownguides.com

Hi,

The sliders on the website I’m working on keep resetting to fade. On the slider settings page for the Virtue theme I click the save icon at the top and the save settings button at the bottom. Why does it keep resetting all pages back to fade? Thanks for any help. *Login to see link

Hey Tess,
I just tested this on my site and it works fine. Is this the only setting that isn’t saving properly? Have you tried clearing your cache?

Odd. I went to the settings and changed it from “leave off” to “use”. That fixed the jittery scrolling, but now a horizontal white bar appears below the orange navigation bar. Thinking the new setting caused the white bar, I switched it back to “leave off”. The white bar remains and the scrolling now seems to work fine, even with the original setting.

I opened the site using Chrome browser and I do not see the white bar.

Hi,

I’m really sorry to ask about this again as I have solved it (with your help) a few years ago. Unfortunately I lost all of my site’s configuration (don’t ask) and have to start over.

I’d love to change the font and size of all the text in the sidebar, including recent posts, categories, archives etc. My impression was that custom CSS like

.sidebar {font-size:14px; font-family:sans-serif;}

should do it, but this seems to affect only the fixed texts (‘Recent Posts’ etc.).

Hey,
I’m looking at your site. Seems you set the portfolio image to this: http://caseyscandles.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Anchor-small-e1446417787516.png

Which is 100x100px. So all thats happening is the image is filling the column space. It’s set to a three column layout to the image is trying to fill that.

You can force to to stay at 100px but if you plan is to put a better image in then you might just want to do that rather then adding any css. But here is the css:

.grid_item.portfolio_item img {
    max-width: 100px;
}

Hey Ben,

I created/assigned a mobile menu with a couple links. The CSS is causing the right nav to drop below.
Here is a screencap in case I’ve already removed the CSS (client will be looking @ site today):

Hey,
So Masonry is different from that site. Masonry is still columns the height of your images are different but there are still the columns you set. The link you posted is something different. That is a preset for height and width and it’s a formula so it looks random but the image are all cropped to be equal for the grid some are two columns wide some are on and some are two rows high and some are one.

That isn’t an option with the theme. right now the only way to get close is by using pagebuilder but I’ve been considering building something like this in the future. It will be called a mosaic layout.

On my homepage I am looking to get some Featured Products, right now it shows Recent Products. My goal is to show 4 different models.
If I do it now it will show a thumbnail of the product, under it the Product name, under that the Price, and then the add to cart button.
I would like to get it so it shows:
Product name
Short product information
Product thumbnail
Product Price
Add to Cart button

Is it possible to do so? 🙂

On the front page of my site (www.KSeasCandles.com) I’ve added a portfolio widget (at the bottom of the site). It is currently titled Local Festivals. For some reason the primary thumbnail image that displays here keeps automatically re-scaling to a size of 366×366. Would anybody have any idea where I can change this setting? I’ve checked just about everywhere I can think of in media settings, the theme editor, etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

no….it’s strange…..i even went to face book and watched a step by step….. so on the homepage layout, i move the items to the enable colum….when i go to the site…..on sale products does not show on my site, but it is in the enable colum.

Also i don’t see anything on the them home page layout that says show content.
