    this post really helped. now I’m getting a better feel for where things are. didn’t realise the bottom section was a widget!
    I’m getting it, theres menus, pages, widgets.

    No I have the Virtue theme activated on mosaichouseaustralia.com but a maintenance plugin active to hide my messy setting up phase

    whilst I’m here I am getting this error:

    Fatal error: Access to undeclared static property: Redux_Customizer_Section::$instance_count in /home/teamatlive4eva/public_html/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/themeoptions/inc/extensions/customizer/inc/customizer_section.php on line 46

    when trying to go to Appearance > customize (to change site name)
    should I just go into FTP and delete that file?

    I had the blog posts to show up on the home page.. I am now updating my pages cleaning up the site. Now this page shows up is: Home > Kindness> Virtuousness When I put that page into draft it shows up as a 404.

    Do I need a home page for posts to be on the front page? What did I do wrong. I have cleared my cache.. and it’s still there.

    Hi Ben/Hannah,

    I made a stupid try today and this cause my website to go down.

    Here is what I did:

    1- I made a backup of my website files on my pc.
    2- My website WP files are in the root directory of my Hostgator FTP.
    3- This morning, I created a subfolder and copied my files to it. The subfodler name is “Translationpartner”
    4- I tryied to direct my website to the subfolder, by changing the WordPress URl settings to http://www.Translationpartner.com/Translationpartner.
    5- This did not work and the website went down due to some issues related to wp-cash-3 plugin.
    6- I copied all my back up files back to the root directory, hoping it will be back as normal, but it didnot.
    7- Now, when I try to access my website I receive this error message:

    <b>Warning: require(/home4/sherifab/public_html/wp-includes/load.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home4/sherifab/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 21</b>

    <b>Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home4/sherifab/public_html/wp-includes/load.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/php54/lib/php’) in /home4/sherifab/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 21</b>

    I do not know which data is required to be added to this file.

    Can you please help ASAP in this case?

    After latest upgrade I have lost the create ‘Portfolio’ pages function in wordpress Dashboard so I am unable to create any portfolio pages. I have only just started creating my website so do not have any site content apart from a menu.

    Css could cause this, but it would most likely be something different then that css you posted. Hard to know. I’ll try and make some time for you and I can run through some testing on your site disabling parts of your child theme to narrow it down.

    Topic: Duplicate Google Analytics Codes

    Hi Ben –

    I have 2 instances of my Google Analytics codes on my website –

    I know I added one using a plugin – Google Universal Analytics

    I am trying to figure out where, and then remove the second instance of the tracking code.

    I don’t believe it to being added by another plugin. Is it possible to add this code manually in the Theme Editor?

    I have checked in the head.php file, as well as various other files within the Editor.

    I deactivated the plugins 1×1 and it is definitely the Ultimate Member plugin. I’m definitely not an expert here, but in Googling the error message, I saw some chatter about the Redux Framework. I downloaded the Redux Framework plugin. The site is now up and going with Ultimate Member. There appears to be a little funkiness and I’m going through the site to confirm all is well, but it seems to be resolved.

    Are you able to deactivate your plugins one by one to see which one is conflicting? Or was it the ultimate member plugin? Can you post a link to your site?
