In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Help needed
Hello Ben,
Could you please help me with these issues:
1. When I login to the website, I get logged in and redirects to the homepage as I want it to ….but it gives me a message saying “You are loged in as …” at the top of the page. I dont want that message to appear.
2. When logged in, from the ring category page, there is no logout option available in the main menu….. from all other pages, one can logout.
3. The cart page, as well as the checkout page, shows an option to apply a coupon code. Would that cause a double reduction on the price? Would it be advisable to remove the coupon code option from the cart page, and leave it only on the checkout page OR only add it at the base of the checkout page, just before the option of the payments available (I think this would be ideal)? The shipping calculation too would be needed to be added after the final product total, before the payment methods available.
So, to summarize:
The cart page would have only the items listed along with the total amount. Minus the coupon code option and the shipping calculator option.
And, the checkout page would have : Billing details, ship to different address, your order… subtotal …… than coupon code option ….Total price …. shipping calculator …..Total payable with shipping …..modes of payment …4. On an individual product page, I have added the option of ” Add to My favourites” & ” Make a request”.
a] I would like those buttons to look the same …preferably rectangular in shape, like the “make a request” button.
b] I want the buttons to be on the same horizontal line, not below one another, and the message of ” Product added. Browse my favouriets” to come below the button, like it does for the “Make a request” button and text.
c] On hover, for both the buttons; I would like the text to turn white, as its not clearly visible now on hover.5. Is the plugin ” Hide my WP” compatible with Virtue? I would like to maybe later use it as a security measure. Kindly advise.
6. On the individual product page, the related products carousel is showing only 5 items instead of six, although I have opted for that option in the theme product settings.
Thanking you in anticipation.
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi guys,
On our site I have two sliders, one for mobile/tablet and one for desktop. I recently found that the mobile slider is showing on desktop but only when not logged in to the WP admin area.
For my mobile slider I have used the Theme Options – Mobile Slider but for the homepage I have not used Theme Options – Homeslider. I have added the slider to a row in the page content as I wanted it to display below other content.
I’m using Revolution Slider for both and am using the ‘hide below XXXpx’ option to hide the main slider on mobile.
The reason I believe it to be a detect mobile issue is that it is not only displaying the mobile slider but also hiding the other slider. When logged in to WP admin it displays the main slider and not the mobile so to me it suggests it’s not an error in the display settings I’ve applied.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Billy

In forum: Virtue ThemeSeptember 30, 2015 at 1:35 pm #60810which Virtue file(s) could contain this message? – None. That isn’t something that is in the theme and not plugin would add a code to a theme. Your issue is not with a theme file unless you edited a theme file. once your site is up I can tell you more. and if you can send a temp login I can tell you a lot more.

September 30, 2015 at 1:15 pm #60803Hmm, It’s not letting me sign in with that info.
do you have a child theme installed on this site?
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben,
Correct. And I did.
The redirect problem is a separate issue. Hostgator is in the process of re-installing the security certificate.
But, before then, the message above was consistently appearing at the top of every page on the site. One is not tied to the other.
Once I do get my site back I suspect the message will still be there since it was there before the security work began.
If it is there, can you tell me which Virtue file(s) could contain this message? I have no doubt the plugin created it since the message uses identical verbiage in the plugin setup area. I can get into the Virtue files via cPanel just fine. I have it open now and have been searching for the file though I may be way off base.
Is it possible the message may not even be in a Virtue file? I can’t imagine where else it could be.

September 30, 2015 at 12:23 pm #60788You would need to add this function to the child theme:
add_filter("redux/pinnacle/field/typography/custom_fonts", 'kt_custom_fonts'); function kt_custom_fonts() { return array('Custom' => array('Poppins, san-serif' => 'Poppins',) ); }And that would get your font as an option in your theme options just note that you will still need to add the code or use UAF to load the font on your site.

September 30, 2015 at 11:51 am #60785Hey sorry about the delay.
1. Most of the google fonts are included in the theme. (over 600) but there is a limit just in resources google fonts keep growing and you don’t want to have to load all of them in your admin. Flexibility is in that there are over 600 choices.
There is a way to integrate but I honestly don’t recommend it just because of ease. You would be easier just to use add any font to add the font script to the site load then simple run an override on css.
For example,
h1 { font-family: 'Poppins', sans-serif !important; }If you want to go through setting up a child theme with the function for adding a google font I can point you in the right direction. Staring with a child theme do you have one activated? : https://www.kadencewp.com/child-themes/

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
Any insight is appreciated.Do you have an idea of which PHP file(s) needs to be customized in a child theme to show a percentage of the total price in the cart totals? In the site, we want to show the total price, agent pays 30% price, and RE agency pays 70%. Like below…
Total Price: $20.00
Agent Price: $6.00
RE Company Price: $13.00
Tax: $2.50
Shipping: $10.00
Agent Pays: $18.50Thanks,

September 30, 2015 at 11:20 am #60775Hey,
So Facebook and any other social site looks for meta tags in the page to know what image to show and what title and text. You need a plugin to set those values and Yoast SEO is our favorite for this. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/
It’s free and really easy to use and will allow you to set this up to look great.

September 30, 2015 at 10:58 am #60768When you upload an image it is uploaded to a specific place in your site. For example: http://www.fireflyartglass.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/headband.jpg
Is the url to the current image. If you click on the image in the media library then you can look in the top right corner for the file location.
