Hi Hannah,
I just updated the plugins. I had updated the Kadence theme and all the plugins in early January, most recently.
Could you help me fix/restore my home page? While following advice on this Support thread, I added some code that you recommended, and I fear that might be the culprit for widespread issues on the homepage. Images were stripped, the Site Origen Page Builder on the back end doesn’t have any content, and the parallax image is not scrolling, as before.

Hello,
How much text are you adding? I don’t think adding text to your category pages will make much of a difference in terms of SEO. The category page is not one that many people will find your site from.
I suggest just adding whatever text you feel is necessary. Otherwise you can create new category pages by adding WooCommerce shortcode to the page content to pull the product category, then add text below the shortcode.

There is just too many things in current site that needs cleaning up. Don’t want to do it. Rather spend the time with the new site that is already set up with Ascend. I am adding some of the same plugins but not as many as they have, which is over 30. Another factor is I am using an IP right now as the domain url for the new site with a different provider. Clients wants to keep domain and site active while I create the new one. Then transfer domain name once ready to launch and close the old one from a different provider.
I can download the media each individually but takes loads of time.

Hey,
You’ll likely run into problems if you import each part of the site individually. I suggest you use this plugin to duplicate the entire site to the new location, and then just switch to Ascend theme:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/This will ensure that everything stays where it should and avoid a lot of possible problems.

I understand what you are asking for, I’m having a really hard time with it making sense to do that. For example, It breaks users expectations, by showing Instagram. Users will interpret the rest of your sharing links to not be sharing but in fact social links, creating confusion when the links are clicked. Or they will think it looks stupid because you can’t share to Instagram and none’s sharing area has Instagram links. It would look like your site doesn’t know that.Not to mention it will create confusion with plugin users who think you can share to Instagram and wondering why that doesn’t work.
But perhaps we can brainstorm some good options.
What would you think of a second row that output social links and could tag along with your sharing buttons? So you could have:
Share:
Sharing buttons.
Follow:
Social links.Would that be something you would be happy with?

1. Are you using page builder on your site? If so, you can add a row that contains a search for your site to the top of your page.
2. Same as above. You should be able to add a “categories” widget to the row and it will display above the posts.
Does that work for you?

If you need to change that string in your language, then I suggest this plugin:
https://www.kadencewp.com/translating-theme-strings-locotranslate/In Theme Options> Theme Extensions, are you using a custom 404 page? If so, you just need to edit the page you’ve assigned and remove that shortcode.
If you’re unable to edit it, please post a link so I can take a look at your site.

I’ve been trying to add an image above the footer that is full width however when using the Extra footer widget area or the footer layout with above the footer widget area they are never quite full width.
I can do this easily on a page however I’m wanting this to be site wide and not have to add it to every page.

Size: 41 43 44 55 ….I am nearly there but i cannot do the final step that is put the different filter widget one per row and not all in one row as they appear right now in the page…. … do you have a css suggestion to apply?

AngeloIn forum: Virtue ThemeWe need the ability to view a zoomed in version of the product image, but we do not like the default WooCommerce 3.x hover “zoom” feature. We currently have the lightbox enabled when a customer clicks on the product image. We’d like to have the option to click again to view the full size original image. In another site (which did not use Kadence Virtue), we were able to set up a system where the user can click a magnifying glass in the lightbox, which opens up the full image. I’m guessing that Kadence Virtue has some setting that prevents this feature.
Is there a snippet of code or a setting that will enable this functionality?
