January 31, 2019 at 2:41 pm #215214Staff = information about a companies staff. Not related to a user in WordPress in any way. You, in theory, could create staff posts for all your users if you preferred to show them in the output that staff posts offer but that is simply up to you and what you want.
Users = actual users with accounts on the site. For people who create actual content on your site. An authors bio page is an archive of the posts they have created on your site. Important to note that is Posts, not pages.
Since WordPress was designed first as a blog format most of the author and user relationships have to do with the archives of posts.

I created three sidebars for separate pages but none show up in the list under page attributes, only primary sidebar. I had two of the sidebars working prior to converting to gutenberg. Now they are not there. And when I convert to block from classic, everything is converted to html code and/or shortcodes block. What is going on?

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Membership ForumsIs there a way to have a different sidebar for one page? I see in widgets that there is a sidebar3. But it doesn’t show up in the list of templates for that page. Don’t want to add another plugin if possible.
Using Virtue Premium, *Login to see link
In forum: Virtue ThemeJanuary 31, 2019 at 12:14 pm #215167I have designed a site (*Login to see link ) using Gutenberg and virtue premium. It is a single-page site that the only page being used is set as the home page. It also uses the Blog Grid page template. When I first created it, it was showing blog posts after all the content like it’s supposed to. Recently my client emailed me to say the blog posts aren’t showing up. There’s no error message with WP_DEBUG set to true. My client and I have not made any changes between it working and not. Any ideas?
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Only create user after successful payment
January 31, 2019 at 10:43 am #215144This isn’t controlled by the theme.
Woocommerce creates the user once you click the large bottom button on your checkout page. If you are using most modern checkout payment options that should include the payment gateway which doesn’t solve the issue entirely because the payment could still fail but with the modern paypal integrations a customer has a login and set up PayPal before that button is pressed. If they are being redirected to something like PayPal you will get more that drop out.
However, if you want a more consistent way then allow guests to check out at your site and create an account after purchase:
https://usersinsights.com/woocommerce-auto-register-users/
That, however, may not work well with most subscription extensions because many require an account.
So the final option to bring up is using a plugin like: https://automatewoo.com/
Which can trigger an event if/when the payment fails and that would allow you to remove the user account or at least change the users permissions.
I hope that helps,
Ben
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Woocommerce images overlapping text in archive pages
Hello,
The problem is the size of your images. They are too small to be cropped by the theme and so the full image is being output. Ideally, you should be using much larger images, such as those found in the demo.
Note the images in this product:
http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-2/product/adventure-mug/http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-2/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/mug_01-min.jpg
http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-2/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/mug_01c-min.jpg
Ideally, you should be using images around the size of those. This will allow them to look consistent throughout your site no matter what device or browser your site is being visited on.

Hello,
I’m not experiencing this on my site. I can switch back and forth without any issues.
I suggest testing your plugins for a conflict by deactivating one by one and testing when each plugin is active for proper functionality.
Let me know if you find anything.

Hello,
No, this wouldn’t be caused by the theme. It doesn’t setup the login for your site, that’s part of your wordpress installation. Make sure you’re checking the correct email account, I’ve had this issue before and it just ended up being that I setup the site with a different email than I had thought.
Also be sure to check your spam folder incase it’s getting caught there. Hopefully that helps a bit.
I’m sure Ben or Hannah will have some suggestions when they see this thread.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Menu bug
Hi there I noticed a bug very recently in the menu. On our website if you scroll down a page (maybe half way) then click the refresh button. After, scroll up and the menu gets cut in half. It appears the image is overlaid on top of the menu. If you refresh the page again or click on a new it disappears and the page becomes normal again. Hopefully you can find a fix for this.
Try it on our home page: *Login to see link
Try as well on this page: *Login to see link
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi
So we have a website where we sell subscriptions and memberships and to checkout you need to create a profile.
But when a client clicks “cancel” on the payment gateway and redirects to checkout the following happens:
1. User account was created
2. User is logged in.
3. When client repurchases subscription product the “checkout details” is not included in the order in woocommerce orders.
Now we have a bunch of different things going on.
My question , can we set a rule via code or theme settings or what ever you propose to only create user accounts on successful payment (order status processing)Thanks in advance.
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Password Reset Link invalid
In forum: Membership ForumsHi Kadence, can I use the Kadence Widget Dock plugin with any theme? I’ve installed it on a website using Pinnacle Free theme and the option page isn’t showing into the admin area.
I’ve tried to access directly the option page with the link (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ktwidgetdockpoptions&tab=1) but it says it’s restricted (“Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”). The Widget Dock Widget Area is shown properly on the widget page.
Thanks
HugoIn forum: Ascend ThemeJanuary 30, 2019 at 2:28 pm #215051Hey,
Because your site width is set to max 1770 the grid items have extra columns as you get wider and wider screen sizes. Here is what I suggest you do set the project to “none” and then in the content area add a gallery block and set the column to 2 there. That would be the quickest and easiest.
