Hi Ben,

I can’t update at the moment as the customer is running tests on a test site with all the updates applied before applying them to the live site.

I have however added the change to the test site and still get the math question.

Hello,

That is actually not a part of your footer widget area. That’s your home widget area. The easiest way to add those widgets to other pages would be through the use of page builder:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/siteorigin-panels/

This will allow you to place the widgets on other pages anywhere you like.

Hi Ben, all my pages have been brought forward from the previous website where everything was in VC.

I’ve used Elementor to create all the woo templates for archives/loops.

Hey so you are using php 5.5.38 which is really old, I suggest updating to 7+ WordPress core is going to stop supporting that old of PHP this year.

It’s possible that is the cause for the issues you had with import.

I’ve updated the sites. The bold site did not have Woocommerce installed when you imported so it is missing the products. Do you want me to reset that site and reimport with products or are you not planning to use woocommerce?

As a test, try to disable your cache entirely. Does the slider show correctly when there is no cache running on your site?

Hey Petr,

Are you using SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle as well? If so try deactivating the post carousel widget, I heard from someone else that is was causing issues with Gutenberg. Otherwise, you can try rolling back your page builder version using : https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-rollback/

Hey,
Yes you can use Kadence Blocks and Gutenberg over a Page builder. No, you don’t have to it’s more about your preference. There would be a slight performance improvement but it would be slight and depends more on your server as to whether or not you would notice the change.

The template “page builder” is a description and doesn’t actually add any page builder thing, it’s really just so your background doesn’t default to white, when working in a page builder this is nice because you can define the background, the default template has a white background.

so the template doesn’t mean you are using a page builder and doesn’t require a page builder to use.

None of the pages you linked to are using page builder, they are all built with shortcodes. So even less reason to change them since you already are not loading a page builder.

I suggest for new pages, new sites start using Gutenberg until you need to do something that Gutenberg and Kadence blocks doesn’t yet allow. Unless you have a really strong preference to the user interface of a page builder then, by all means, use what you like.

Hey,

Can you please explain how the plugin “broke your site.” The plugin should not negatively impact your site in any way. It would be great to know what issues you were experiencing so we can test and make sure that the problems aren’t effecting other plugin users.

The theme developer will be able to push the refund to you when he’s available.

Hello,

This isn’t controlled by the plugin, and it’s also not the normal behavior for the block editor. Something is not correct on your site, likely a server issue. When editing the page, are you getting any javascript errors in your console?

If you like, you can post a login in a private and I’ll take a look at the javascript console for errors for you.

Hello, I recently find that the mobile slider doesn’t work some times. I have already activated the mobile slider in theme option(see picture), but if I open the website on a mobile devices, the slider is the desktop version. But if I open it in chrome of pc with console mode set to mobile emulator(set to iphone devices), the mobile slider works.
So on the devices, I did 2 kinds of test.
1: I open the website directly with the browser, it shows the desktop slider. (Samsung galaxy s8 and Xiaomi 6)
2. Clear the cache, open the website with the browser(on Samsung galaxy s8 and Xiaomi 6) which is set to iphone version in the browser option, it still shows the desktop slider.
The slider I’m using is revolution slider.

So thats why wpforms has it’s own copy of the keys. Assuming the problem is that WPForms reCaptcha and Kadence reCaptcha can not both be activated then I should choose Kadence because it can be used more generally – woocommerce, testimonials, posts, comments etc. Then use the default ‘Contact Us’ form. Web site is andamansunhats.com I am only using honeypot at the moment.

Is it now possible to get rid of Page Builder and use Kadence Blocks instead? Might that save a bit of script loading etc. or am I pointlessly creating work for myself? My concern is that, because it has been there from the start, I don’t know what elements of my site might mess up if it was uninstalled. Possibly I don’t really need either plugin as the Pinnacle theme is so good on its own?

Hi Guys,

I’ve been developing a new website using Virtue Premium and Gutenberg and all has been going well, I’ve used your new Blocks plugin and where needed I’ve used the Pagebuilder plugin as well, most notably when I’ve needed a Parallax background.

Unfortunately I’ve just come across an issue with saving changes to a page. When I click on save the initial change is saved but the save button remains in the updating state and won’t allow any subsequent changes to be made, the only way to recover is to refresh the page which then loosed all the subsequent changes. At this point it appears the autosave functionality was not working properly.

My thoughts were that this was related to a plugin I was using so I went through the process of disabling all plugins and introducing the incrementally to try and identify the culprit and it turns out it’s the Pagebuilder plugin as there’s no problem with it disabled.

Have you guys come across this yet and do you know if there is a fix or a fix in the works.

If this is temporary and Pagebuilder is on track to have full Gutenberg integration then I can live with it in the Knowledge it will be fixed. I can’t have this continuing once the site is live as my client will want to update the contents themselves once the site is live.
