Topic: Snapchat pixel question
Hey Guys, I’m trying to insert snapchat tracking pixel to my site and snap support mentioned that I needed to find out what the user_email of how my site gathers and stores emails/phone numbers from visitors. I have no clue what this means. They mentioned that my theme provider will know the answer and assist me with this.
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Highlight parent categoru in menu
In forum: Ascend ThemeHi Kadence Team,
i’m trying to highlight the parent categories in the menu when single post page OR child category is viewed.
I found that there are some selectors (like: menu-item-object-category current-post-ancestor current-menu-parent current-post-parent) and i tried them out without luck.
You can see on the test site what i mean: the first item in the main menu is the parent, the first item in the secondary menu is the child category and below is the post that is set to both categories. Now the first items in both menus should be highlighted.
Thank you,
B. AndersIn forum: Membership ForumsHi team, I just upgraded to member form Virtue only and I’m now seeing the error message:
The theme update API License Key has not been activated! Click here to activate the license api key.
Please tell me there isn’t a different licence key which requires me to re-visit every site and change the key?
Is there a way you can keep my original key alive for all the existing Virtue sites we have built?
Thanks,

November 24, 2018 at 11:32 pm #208781Hey Ben,
regarding my problem above,
I’ve checked all the plugins and the Popup is still a problem?
Therefore I’ve activated the plugins again and deactivated the Boxilla plugin so the stupid small white box (supposed to be the Popup to subscribe) is not Popping up until I know what to do to fix the problem.
I have read to following on google but it is not sure what to do and need your help please
MailChimp is a great solution to add the subscription form to our websites. The only problem is that the MailChimp Subscriber Pop-Up doesn’t work on WordPress websites. I added the MailChimp Subscriber Pop-Up embed code to one of my WordPress websites, but nothing happened when I loaded any website page where the pop-up should have appeared. I searched Google and noticed that many others have the same issue in WordPress.
Thanks in advance
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Anchor Links
November 23, 2018 at 4:27 pm #208653Hey,
Anchor links don’t scoll so anything is in the middle of the page. Browser scroll down to where the anchor is at the exact top of the screen (assuming the page is long enough to scroll that far). You have a sticky header so at the exact top of your screen would place the video behind your header.
Start by going to your theme options > menu settings. Scroll down to the bottom and turn on “Enable animated scroll for menu anchor links”. This will make give animation and force an offset to account for your header. That will work for menu links.
Where are you adding the link in your site? because if you are adding the link inside of a page content you may need to add a class so that the smooth scroll knows to look for it.

November 23, 2018 at 12:54 pm #208578Your load time dropped from over 4 seconds to 1.88 s for me. That is a really good first step.
No you just need to go through each part.
“Use a Content Delivery Network (CDN)” – that is a suggestion, it’s not required, won’t always make your site faster but is something you can consider, a good CDN is going to cost you monthly.
“Make fewer HTTP requests” – You should now look at using a minfy/combine plugin. If you look at our post: https://www.kadencewp.com/need-for-speed/
We suggest this free one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/fast-velocity-minify/
“Use cookie-free domains” there isn’t really anything you can do about this because google analytics is whats being flagged. It’s not actually an issue since you know whats bringing it up and that google analytics is fast.

November 23, 2018 at 12:45 pm #208577Hey,
“if I have a Child theme I can use templates from different ‘Kadence themes’ on my website?”
No, that doesn’t actually make sense. What are you trying to do? Why are you wanting to edit the code?

hope it make sense 🙂In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Speed
Hey,
Regarding site speed, I highly recommend this post:
https://www.kadencewp.com/need-for-speed/If you follow all the steps outlined there, you should experience a noticeable improvement to your site’s speed rating.
Let me know if that’s helpful.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Speed
Hi guys,
I’ve read a number of the support pages on Speed, and ran Pingdom. We get a C.CDN, Make Fewer HTTP requests, Use Cookie-Free Domains and Add Expires headers are F
Reduce DNS lookups in CCompression and avoid URL redirects are B.
Do you have advice for how to address this? Tips? Something to read?
Thanks. Our site if basically function and we are starting to think about Speed, SEO and the user — which is good!
Thanks for the great support.
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Google Maps API issue
Hi,
As you can see from this link we have now moved the website to its live domain but we are having an issue with the maps at *Login to see link
We have set up the maps API the same way as a hundred times before. I would send a screenshot but it is not possible to add an attachment to this form.
The API code has been added to the theme options.
What have we done wrong ?
Regards,
Mike

Hey,
You shouldn’t be having conflicts with page builder by site origin and this theme. If you want to continue using siteorigin I would suggest deactivating your other plugins to test. It could be that you have a plugin that is in conflict with siteorigin.Hannah
