In reply to: How do I put a sign-up form in my sidebar?
March 29, 2018 at 11:06 am #185692Hmm, lets try a set by step again, and break it down as much as possible with images. You want to add the sign up right above the recent posts widget in the primary sidebar on your site.
So step 1:
Go to appearance > widgets in your admin. (see image)
Step 2:
Scroll down on the left side till you see “Text” under the available widget options. Then click on that widget, a popup will show asking you which widget area you would like to add this text widget too. Select primary sidebar and then click “add widget”. (see image)

Step 3:
Scroll up to your primary widget and click and move this widget to where you want it to show. So move it directly above the recent posts widget. (see image)
Step 4:
Add the constant contact shortcode, which we’ve already established is[ctct form="467"], into the text widget. Make sure to click “save” when done (see image)

Hopefully this will help by seeing the images and will also help you to understand how sidebars work and how you can add stuff to them.
Please let me know.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Kadence Pro slider Mobile font size
March 29, 2018 at 10:08 am #185677Hey,
So the font size is going to be directly related to the grid. So if your grid is 1200px wide on a screen size that is 300px the fonts will be 1/4 of there original size.So one option is to make your grid the width of your largest text line. That way on mobile it will fill the areas width.
If you’re making a separate slider for mobile I’m not seeing it on your site. But you would want the grid size to be something like 400 wide and 700 tall.
Can you post a temp login so I can see your settings? use the checkbox for Set as private reply.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Upgrade from Virtue Free to Premium Fails
March 29, 2018 at 9:40 am #185666Hey, If your seeing this when you try and upload the premium theme it could mean that your max upload size set by the server is smaller then the theme .zip files size.
If you go do media > add new in your admin and in the bottom left of the page it will show you the max upload size. If it’s smaller then 10mb I would suggest you get that increased with your hosting support.
Otherwise post a temp login to your site using the checkbox for “Set as private reply” and I can get in a see whats going on.

Thanks, that works great!
Do you have some tips for me for if I change the page builder layout? Because I am changing my whole site:
When I change the page builder layout, how can I change the CSS?
I expect that the first part of the first line is the particular page builder cell and how do I know what to put there if I need this CSS in another cell?Another question:
Beside the check marks there is a call to action with an image. How can I change the height of this call to action?

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Ascend Image – Image size
March 28, 2018 at 4:49 pm #185592Hey so circles as a shape are sized by the container, not the image, you can change the image size and it would have an effect on the image inside the circle but the circle as a shape will fill the space of the column container.
So for example, if you set a custom size for your image at 25px then that image will be 25px but will stretch those 25px to fill the shape which will be the size of your container.
That’s at least how it’s designed to work. So all that said I think having a way to set the size beside the container makes sense.
I went ahead and built this out then updated the widget file in on your site so you can try it out.

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Accordions Nestled into Tabs
Hi K-Team,
Hope you are doing well!
I am working on building out a site *Login to see link and was wondering if on the Menu page *Login to see link if I can put the Accordion inside tabs.
Lunch & Dinner | Breakfast | Kids is there as a visual component right now. I have the Lunch & Dinner Menu finished and then If I were to click on Breakfast the breakfast according would show and same for kids.
I tried a few different options with the according and tabs shortcodes but could not get it to work. Can this be done?
Thank you,
ChadIn forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Queries
Hi Kevin
Thanks for the reply.
In relation to disabling the cache on the home page how is this done. I do not have WP cache on my site as it was creating problems.
In terms of areas to hide on mobile device they vary from page to page. Essentially I would like to just hide a row and the associated widgets in it.
The other problem is that I want my posts to appear with a picture on top within the blog post. When I switch
Gallery Blog Post Summary Default portrait image I just get a blank space. Can you assist please.Final question. Can you sort your blogs by category and have a side bar that just lists all the categories and then you can filter by catagory.
Thanks again for your great help.

Thanks Ben, that makes the carousel look great!
I notice that the carousel doesn’t appear in a single load – rather, the carousel marches across the screen right to left, pushing the white space ahead of it. This is the first time I’ve seen one load like this and is different to other implementations on this and other Virtue sites. Am I doing something that forces it to appear this way? Is there a way to make it load in one go?
Thanks,
Phil.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Woocommerce: Products not appearing in cart
I can’t replicate this behavior on my site. I would test your active plugins by deactivating one by one to see if the issue goes away when a certain plugin is OFF. Be sure to clear your cache when each plugin is OFF.
When you activated a default theme did the cart behave correctly?

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
I have researched your forum to find an answer to my issue and I can’t seem to solve the problem. I have a website built using the Virtue Theme- *Login to see link I have two blog posts showing on a static home page, the ‘read more’ link at the bottom of each excerpt doesn’t work and when clicked leads the user back to the home page. I have tried altering the permalink structure, which doesn’t seem to make a difference and then I have tried to hide the css but then all the links from the blog post are hidden. Ideally I would like the “Read More” links to lead to the specific blog posts, Would you be able to help me?
Many Kind Regards, CarolynIn forum: Ascend ThemeThanks for your assistance Kevin – here’s the link to the staging site: http://htcc.vermont-internetmarketing.com/ I’m trying to add the primary sidebar to the right side of the home page. It does appear on the sub-pages so I’m guessing it’s due to using the kadence slider or the page builder. Any ideas?
Hello,
my website is http://www.debbiesun.com.
I am redoing my website. I want to show a series of images (probably as a portfolio grid) with a side bar that can categorize the images with drop down boxes. For example, I want to group my images by themes and colors so that people can view only the ones they are interested in. The general concept is like the set up on this website: *Login to see linkHow do I do this with Virtue?
Thanks for your help!In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: show Top bar on mobile
March 28, 2018 at 9:56 am #185513Hi Kev
Yeah I did see those options and I guess they can work with some custom html in a widget. The reason for wanting the topbar was because it has the menu in it. As the site I’ve made is very small (only containing 3 page links) I thought it would fit nicely on mobile as well which would negate using the mobile menu. No worries I can make some links manually.Thank you
p.s. I’m loving this theme.. I never thought it could trump Virtue but it has already 😀
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi:
I am using Virtue Bold and want to edit the footer. I have left the default footer widget layout with the default 2 columns and know that I can change the text in Theme Options, miscellaneous settings. What I would like to know is:
1. In the footer copyright text, the default has short codes for [the-year] [site-name] and [theme-credit]. If I want to add a link as part of the footer text – how do I do that?
2. What is the name of that area? If I want to change the font or background color I know I can do that in the Custom CSS Box.
3. How can I adjust the height of the footer area? I believe there are two rows or sections? Thanks,

No problem! I also recommend reading through this post so you can better optimize your images for site speed:

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Is there a way to change the default picture size?
Hello,
There isn’t really a way to make every photo display the same on your site. The reason being that you’re uploading images of different dimensions and sizes, and the theme has to either crop or resize them to fit the page content. if you pre-crop all of your photos to the same size and dimensions, then you’ll be able to have all images the exact same size.
Does that answer your question? Or are you referring to some specific images on your site?

Hi,
Thank you Ben! (and Kevin also!) Ben, your update did the trick.
So nice when you post your problem late at night and have a solution waiting for you in morning when you turn on your pc and sit down with fresh cup of coffee :). Top notch service guys, thanks a million! Now…
Ben, you mentioned some SEO -app conflicts, that got me interested.
> I have Yoast installed, but I think I might migrate to “The SEO framework” – which I´ve used in one other website and it seems be quite good at it. I have two quite similar websites, that are located in same server and only main difference between them is the SEO-plugin, which are Yoast and SEO Framework and latter seems to be clocking 0,5-1 sec faster response times. So it feels like Yoast is cluttering the site somehow.
So, my question is: Have you noticed any conflicts with your themes and The SEO Framework, that I should know before I migrate.Br,
