    Hey,
    So it is exactly as I said. In your home page you are adding a “post loop” widget which you have not set up correctly and it’s causing an endless loop which is running through all your php memmory.

    This has nothing to do with your plugins it’s what you were adding into your home page. The post loop widget MUST be set up correctly else you can create an endless loop. I suggest you not use it unless you really know what you are doing.

    I suggest instead if you want some posts on your home page you just use the built in blog post shortcode by clicking “extra shortcodes” in a visual editor widget.

    Does that make sense? Am I explaining this clearly?

    again this is very likly if you have a widget in your home page that runs an endless loop. The post loop widget setup incorrectly, for example, can easily cause this.

    Please focus on what you are adding into your home page. Perhaps you can send me a login?

    Hi Hannah,

    This makes sense, but I tried it and it doesn’t seem to be working. The page I’m trying it out on is http://saintmarks.ecwwblog.org/im-new/new-to-saint-marks/

    I’m wondering if the part that isn’t working is the step in Theme Options > Misc Settings. How are those created side bars communicating with the widget I created? It seems to be just adding a title unconnected to anything else.

    Thanks,
    Liz

    ok, so what widgets are you loading in your home page? Can you access the admin of it to edit?

    #197575

    You can create a separate menu from Appearance > Menus with only the sibling pages as menu items. Then create a new sidebar from Theme Options > Misc Settings. Then navigate to Appearance > Widgets and add a custom menu widget to your new sidebar and select your new menu. Then assign that sidebar to your specific pages. Would that work for you?

    So is this only showing on one page or all your pages? The error likly means there is an endless loop somewhere. This can happen in widgets like the post loop or others.

    Are you using the virtue split content widget? That shouldn’t collapse until 767px. Can you post a link?

    The background of the adventure demo is set within the page builder rows.
    To remove the padding inbetween rows navigate to Settings > Page Builder > Layout and set the “Row/Widget Bottom Margin” to 0.

    Hi,

    I have updated my own products categories, and deleted your template product categories from woocommerce categories section.

    However, there are two product categories (mens, womens) looks been deleted but in fact, they are not. When i put the “product categories” widget at the Shop sidebar, these two deleted categories shows up in my categories menu. When I click on it, mens for example, it gives me the error like this one:

    Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home1/nl8s007yl/healthbeautystore.co.uk/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/lib/breadcrumbs.php on line 312

    You can find the problem from my website: select a category, click on womans, then you will see the error above.

    Could you please help me to sort out this problem?

    thank you so much!

    I’m modifying the Home page which was built with page builder. I’m trying to change the background color of the page but have not been successful. I’ve removed all row separators and all other settings are back at the default.

    I’m also trying to remove all padding above and below each row. On the Siteorigin forum they mentioned to disable ‘Add Widget Class’ in the settings but that did not work.

    Thanks Hannah,

    I had actually tried using page builder but even there you can only vertically-align the whole cell, not the separate widgets in one cell…

    Maybe I’ll just use the split content shortcode instead, it looks somewhat similar. One question about this shortcode: Is there a way to already have it collapse to one column for screens under 992px? By default, the collapse to one at 767px.

    Thanks!

    Hello Kevin.

    That’s bizarre!

    Thanks for your help. I moved all the necessary widgets out of the inactive area and to their proper places. Thanks for your help with the call to action as well.

    Thanks!

    #197476

    Hello,

    Looks like for some reason all of your widgets got moved from your home widget area to the “inactive widgets” area in Appearance> Widgets. I’m not sure why this would have happened, as I haven’t heard the issue reported from anyone else and it isn’t present on my site.

    You’ll have to re-place them in the correct area in Appearance> Widgets to get the layout back.

    As for the call to action, you need to move it to the Active side of in Theme Options> Home Layout. I’ve taken care of this for you.

    In regards to this page:

    I had some home widgets in place that have disappeared following an update of the theme and WordPress. Has this been a widespread issue?

    Previously, I could go to Appearance > Widgets and see three items I had saved in the Home Widget Area (three call to action images). The Home Widget Area is still there but it contains no content.

    Similarly, if I go to Theme Options > Home Layout there is text present in the Home Call To Action Settings > Call to Action Text but after the updates that text is no longer displaying on the home page.

    It would be great to get some help recovering these items.

    Thanks!

    I will submit another private post with the WP login credentials. Feel free to login to investigate.

    Hi

    Could someone please help me with this problem?

    a) I created a footer 3 menu for all the important pages such as terms and conditions, refund policy, privacy policy
    b) then I use the “navigation menu” widget, add it into the column 4 footer, so the navigation menu contains the footer 3 menu.

    That’s where the problem started. As the Navigation menu is fixed, the Terms & Conditions text took 2 lines of space within the narrow navigation menu box in the footer section. please see the problem from my website down at the footer section Resources.

    I am wondering if I can make the navigation menu widget wider? Or is there any other ways to do it so the text can fit into just one line?

    Your help will be much appreciated!

    I’m trying get the cart icon in the header but can’t get it to show up. I can add a widget, but then it just adds the word “CART” in an awkward spot but I’d rather just have the cart icon. I know it was there when I built the site a couple months ago, we just weren’t ready to add a shop to the page until now.

    #197443

    Hello,

    You can add an Ascend: post grid widget to your sidebar and set it up to only show a certain category within the widget settings.

    Another option would be to add the posts via shortcode like this:
    [blog_posts type="grid" orderby="date" items="4" cat="photos"]

    Just replace the “cat” with whatever category you want to display, and paste the shortcode into a text widget within your sidebar.

    More shortcode options can be found here:
    http://docs.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium/shortcodes/

    Let me know if that works for you.

    Hi!
    Is there a way to have a monthly archive that only displays the articles of a single category? I’d like to make that happen in the sidebar of a blog page that only shows articles belonging to one category, but the default archive widget only seems to list every article in the entire website. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    In reply to: Open tab accordion

    #197347

    I’ve put id=accordionnamewidget in the widget ID

    Don’t do that.

    If you’re on a local I won’t be able to access.

    Try this js for tabs:

    <script type="text/javascript">
    jQuery(document).ready(function ($) {
    var url = document.location.toString();
    if (url.match('#')) {$('.kt-tabs a[href=#'+url.split('#')[1]+']').tab('show') ;}

      $('a[data-toggle="tab"]').on('show.bs.tab', function (e) {
        window.location.hash = e.target.hash;
    $('.kt-tabs a[href='+e.target.hash+']').tab('show');
      });
    });
    </script>

    Then use #sctab plus the name of the tab.

    So if your tab title is tab 1

    Then it would be

    #sctabtab1
