    Hi,
    Just discovered an issue in the Contact widget in the header (I think it’s a PRO item?). If you have a very long bit of text in there, like I had shop hours etc. that ran on past the text field, it prevents you from clicking the drop-down to modify it. Also the only way I could get access to it was to select the icon to the left of the field, and then push TAB to shift focus to the dropdown arrow. See attached screenshot.

    Hey guys, is there a way to make a Kadence block or column sticky (Simulating a sticky sidebar widget) ?

    Thank you! 🙂

    #260600

    That would be awesome, however I find since we handover site to clients I will use Widget Options so that they can add and change and hide as they please for all widgets.

    thanks Ben

    Hey,
    You can use: https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-shortcode/

    Hello Pamela,

    Thank you for reaching out to us and providing access to your website.

    Upon checking, I saw that there is a blank widget in between the two sliders. If you remove that on the edit page, that should make the sliders next to each other without extra space.

    Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you further.

    Best Regards,
    Karla

    Hi guys

    I asked sometime ago about adding a widget to the footerbase div and you recommended the Widgets on Pages plugin:

    This plugin has now been delisted from WordPress.org as having security issues, so do you know of an alternative plugin that does the same thing?

    Thanks!

    Hi Robert,
    Sorry for missing your previous requests. It’s a bit confusing when they are all bunched together. Separating your questions with numbers or even creating new threads for each question is super helpful.
    Kadence Theme is designed pretty differently from our other themes. It does not include many of the widgets you’ll find in our classic themes because they are made up for in Kadence Blocks. The Image Overlay block replaces the Image Menu Item widget, and the Testimonials block replaces the Testimonial widget.
    When adding several columns to one row, you can use the Row Layout block which allows you to adjust the column gutter (spacing in between columns).
    The Image Overlay Color can be set in The Hover Overlay Settings tab in the image overlay block settings.
    Unfortunately, there isn’t a built-in function for transferring testimonials from Ascend to Kadence. Unless you have created a custom post type? I’ll have the developer confirm this.

    Hope this is helpful!

    Best,
    Hannah

    Hi,

    Need help to move widgets a bit closer to one another on Homepage.

    Do I use custom code or am I missing something in the Theme Options?

    Thank you,
    Pamela

    My experience with the Full Kadence Membership has been amazing. I’ve been doing some really cool things in conjunction with Elementor. But I’m sort of stuck with what I’ve een trying to do with the Archive Loop.

    I have a simple archive loop I edited with Elementor Pro. Just a product image (with an overlay), price and title. That’s it.

    The original intention was for the product archives that feature these loops to only display the pure image, without overlay. No price or title, nothing. But that when a customer hovers over the product image, the overlay, price and title appear together at once. And that you can just click anywhere to open the product page.

    Through some basic CSS, I’ve managed to make each element appear separately upon hover. Either the title, price or overlay. But I wonder if anyone knows of any way to make them appear together at once, regardless of where with the mouse I am hovering? And that I can click anywhere to open the product page too?

    Having said that: adding the title as an option to the Archive Loop Image widget could be cool too, as well as this hover-over feature I’m seeking to enable here *hint hint*

    UPDATE: I got to finally work. But when you place the shortcode in the text widget you cannot set to parellex and get it to work properly. I’m good with it not being parallex now…so I’m moving on.

    Thanks,
    Pam

    Hello Ben,

    Thanks for the reply.

    1) When do you expect to release the Kadence theme with this hook ?
    In the meantime I created a Kadence-child theme, copied over template-parts/content/single-entry.php and added ‘in_same_term’ => true, at line 47. This works and gives me a temporary workaround.

    2) I see what you mean, and added the search bar. Thanks.

    3) The contact widget is the right idea but doesn’t have the icons I am looking for so I will probably go back to some raw HTML code.

    4) While setting up the kadence-child theme I tried to use the Import/Export function, but the import failed with this error:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method Kadence_Starter_Templates\Customizer_Import_Export::sideload_image() in /homepages/.../wp-content/plugins/kadence-starter-templates/inc/class-import-export-option.php:358 Stack trace: #0 /homepages/.../wp-content/plugins/kadence-starter-templates/inc/class-import-export-option.php(307): Kadence_Starter_Templates\Customizer_Import_Export::import_images(Array) #1 /homepages/.../wp-content/plugins/kadence-starter-templates/inc/class-import-export-option.php(176): Kadence_Starter_Templates\Customizer_Import_Export::import_data(Object(WP_Customize_Manager)) #2 /homepages/.../wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(287): Kadence_Starter_Templates\Customizer_Import_Export::import_export_requests(Object(WP_Customize_Manager)) #3 /homepages/.../wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(311): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NUL in /homepages/.../wp-content/plugins/kadence-starter-templates/inc/class-import-export-option.php on line 358

    I used the https://wordpress.org/plugins/customizer-export-import/ plugin and it worked. Both export functions (Kadence & the plugin) produce exactly the same file, so the problem seems to be with the Kadence Import. I would upload the 26KB dat file, but the forum uploaded won’t let me (even if I change the file name suffix). I can give you more information if you need it.

    Nick

    Hi, Gang!

    Using Text Widget on homepage with Slider Pro shortcode to produce a full widith image with Parellex for a “Call to Action” or “hero” type image.

    Works fine except for the life of me the image will not expand to full width as set.

    Image is 1800 x 1200

    Site Width is 1140

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you,
    Pam

    Hi Hannah, just out of interest, if my client deletes that or updates it; it’s going to return back to this with that reference I think. Is there a way to set that nav widget to -x or something like this so that it’s forward compatible with edits?

    thanks

    #260258

    Hey,

    I took a look at your site, you had elementor pro and our elementor plugin installed. It seems like you might be confusing the two as to which should be controlling your product pages.

    I’ve setup a template in our elementor plugin and assigned that to this product with Kadence Woo Extras installed so you can see things working:

    https://stickpretty.thinkpixelperfect.com/product/phils-window-film-product/

    I understand if you want to use elementor pro so I’ve also added this css to your site to force elementor to keep the image gallery width from being set to 40%:

    .woocommerce .product .elementor-widget-product-gallery .images {
        float: none;
        width: 100%;
        padding: 0;
    }

    Let me know if that is what you were looking for?

    Hi,

    Just checking if the theme has ability to hide footer sections on mobile or if I should use CSS?

    thanks

    Also, I tried a brand new page with just text and a bunch of headers and tried adding a TOC, and it always adds it to the bottom. I want it right up top, and not in a side bar.

    From the dev tool I just got this:
    The resource https://kevinheslinphoto.com/wp-content/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/css/slider/fonts/slider.woff?8p86w5 was preloaded using link preload but not used within a few seconds from the window’s load event. Please make sure it has an appropriate as value and it is preloaded intentionally.

    Thanks!

    Hi again,
    I forgot to add this to my list of issues:

    If I have a filter by attribute widget in the off-canvas sidebar for the shop and I have it set to dropdown, the list doesn’t populate. If it’s set to list then it’s fine. For comparisons sake I can have the filter by attribute in a normal sidebar as a dropdown and it works.

    Link and login same as this thread if you need it:
