In reply to: Woo Extras Product Slider Gallery
1. With Woo Templates you can create this format without using any css. Just use page builder to create a two column row set the column widths however you want.
2. In Theme Options > Main Settings set Sidebar Side of page to Left.
3. Unfortunately, there isn’t a built-in option to make the sidebar sit above the content on mobile. A workaround would be to add these widgets to the content area of your page and use CSS to hide it when in desktop mode. Then you could also use CSS to hide the sidebar on mobile. Would that work for you?

In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Footer Column 3 not centered on mobile.
Yeah, if any user wanted to change the footer elements to center align, then they would need the CSS. By default, the footer widgets align left when in mobile. This works in most cases, so the CSS solution is best. See here:
http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-3/If you see any of our demos with center aligned widgets, then they were configured using either page builder, or a visual editor widget.
Another solution that would work for you would be to add a layout builder widget to that area of your footer. Then you could use page builder to control the text alignment without any CSS.
Hopefully that clears things up for you!

January 2, 2018 at 11:47 am #173768If you want the search to be inline with your menu then you should add it to the menu as an icon someone can click on not as a bar since that would require a widget area above the menu.
Theme options > menu settings and you can add a search icon to the menu.

In forum: Ascend ThemeTopic: Widget Creation
Hi I’m currently doing the News/Blog section of my site. I would like to add a list of categories as a sidebar, widget area. However as I also have a portfolio page ( with categories for the portfolio) when I add this widget to my sidebar, it provides the categories of the my blog posts and the portfolio categories together. Is there a way to separate this out so that on my blog page I can display only the categories in my sidebar?

Hi Sunny,
You can use the topbar widget area. Just make sure it is enabled from Theme Options > Topbar Settings. Then you can add the Virtue: Contact/VCard widget and the Virtue: Call to Action widget from Appearance > Widgets.
Hope that’s helpful!Hannah
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: how to center social link in footer
Hello Angelo,
I’m not sure I’m understanding your goal. Where exactly do you want the social icons to be? Can you provide some details? I suggest you add them using the default footer widget areas rather than page builder.
Once added, then I’ll try to center with some CSS.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Mobile product carousel – 2 column
One option that should work for you would be to simply add the carousel via Shortcode. It should look something like this:
[carousel type=prouct orderby=date columns=4 items=16 sscol=“2” xscol=“2”]sscol=“2”andxscol=“2”define the columns in mobile view. Copy and paste that into a text editor, either in your home page content or in your home widget area.Does this work for you?

We would like to use the Testimonial Carousel in the first Footer widget area but it does not look like it is displaying properly, like an icon is missing?
*Login to see link site/fft using Virtue Bold child theme
What is also a bit strange is that the black footer of the demo is showing white, and we have not made any customisations to this area.

December 19, 2017 at 10:10 am #172468so is there a way to put the language switcher i have right now in the topbar, on the left of the hamburger menu?
Not within the settings. you would have to use a child theme and custom code something like that.
You can use the mobile top icon bar and show a widget in that area. New setting since 1.3.1
Ascend centers the logo within your header. If you want “padding” or space just increase the height of your header so it’s larger then the height of your logo.

December 19, 2017 at 2:51 am #172421Hi, the result is really good!
Now if i config and extra area widget in the header configuration is not going to display, so is there a way to put the language switcher i have right now in the topbar, on the left of the hamburger menu?
Other little thing: in virtue i had a configuration section where to set logo padding, space between the header and slider or so on, but, i cannot see it in ascend.
Thank you very much
AngeloIn forum: Ascend ThemeDecember 18, 2017 at 1:51 pm #172334The issue is created by this plugin: WooCommerce Product Filter. When it’s added to the page it’s filtering all the results of that page.
You can move disable the home widget area and you will see the posts show up.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Simple portfolio grid on homepage
1. You can add a gallery via the visual editor widget within the home widget area. Check out this tutorial- https://www.kadencewp.com/creating-a-gallery/?preview=true
2. Can you post a link? What size images are you using?

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Number of portfolio items
Ah, yes, there is a limit on the home page. You can have as many as you want to display on the portfolio page, which is different.
You should be able to add more than 20 portfolio items to your home page using the portfolio shortcode from here:
http://docs.kadencethemes.com/pinnacle-premium/shortcodes/the shortcode you’d want would look something like this:
[portfolio_posts orderby=date excerpt=false columns=4 items=25]You would place the shortcode either into your homepage content or a text widget added to the home widget area in Appearance> widgets.

December 13, 2017 at 11:22 am #171796Hey,
When you build a page you have to be thinking responsive. you can’t build for a screen size these days and so you need to be really careful about the decisions to place in things like fullwidth stretched. Screens are getting larger for desktop and still small on mobile so you need to think always from that perspective when creating a page. It means you don’t create pages and then try to force all screens to work on it. It means you create with those screens in mind from the start. This means your limiting what you can build on purpose. There is very little css can do to fix your “work at your own pace page”. I suggest looking at this to understand background image sizing: https://www.kadencewp.com/background-image-sizing/
1. On mobile you don’t seem to be setting a mobile logo or mobile menu?
2. It’s hard to know what you mean about the home page on Mobile, I’m seeing the image displayed Can you perhaps send me a screen shot of what you’re wanting?
3. ok, lets talk about the “work at your own pace” page.
a. Why did you build the whole thing in one layout builder widget?
b. First section. seems fine.
c. The second section you set the fullwidth stretched, thus your text on the right is almost touching the screen which is not good for design. You can add padding to that in page builder by editing the widget and then clicking the layout tab. I added 50px padding on the right and then for mobile I set that to 0 so that it’s not off on mobile. Your background image is a problem because your contents height is limited and as your screen gets wider and wider there is less height that can be shown while stretching the image to fit the width… this is an instance where I would suggest you not create this design because your thinking about screen sizes first. Especially since on mobile your limited.
Basically any time the content of a background image is crucial than it probably shouldn’t be a background. Backgrounds usually shouldn’t be necessary to add content to the page.
If you are absolutely stuck using this image and design then you can use the custom css to force a minimum height on that content. So on larger screens the content height grows with the width making it so more of the background is shown:
@media (min-width: 1400px) { div#pgc-w5a30f5a1c6801-1-0 { min-height: 700px; } }Moving along this image is way to small to be placed fullwidth: https://www.flowtreasure.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Untitled-design.png
I would suggest you rethink that area. Text is best added as text (for SEO) so you might consider breaking that apart and adding text or getting a larger image.
When using the split content on the bottom with the student you should really not force that side to cover because you can’t have the student cut off. Thats part of the widget settings.
