    Hey Debra,
    Do you still have a page that you are unable to view? If so, which one?
    You can create a mosaic gallery by using the Virtue: Gallery widget. There’s an option to set the gallery type to Mosaic. You can add this to a page using page builder or to a widget area through appearance > widgets.

    Hello. Is there any way to adjust the line height of the topbar if there is a drop-down widget inside of that area? The widget box is the main problem. I have seen css that can limit the line height but it doesn’t seem to affect the actual widget box. I will provide the website address with the issue shortly. Thank you.

    Hi team

    I’m not getting the ‘wide’ split content effect for some reason.

    I have the page template set to full width, and the row to full width (also tried full width stretched). But it doesn’t show up, the images don’t cover the full width.
    I tried 1 row with 3 widgets, and 3 rows with each 1 widget.

    I also ticked ‘force image to cover whole area’ to see if that would make a difference but it doesn’t. I left the feature turned on for now.

    Here’s my link

    What am I missing..?

    Thanks.

    Testimonials are in the testimonial posts area of your admin. See here: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/post-types/testimonial-post/

    The Carousel is simply a widget pulling in those posts.

    The forum is a shortcode you can add to any page using the virtue shortcodes button.

    My guess is you have called chimpy to pull into every post type on your site so it’s pulling into the testimonial posts.

    When I create a div class with an absolute position, it floats to the top of the content area. For this particular div, I’m interested in floating it to the very top of the browser window (over top of the 40px topbar).

    I cannot use a topbar widget because it is a calculated field from an external database, so I can enclose the field in a div which is id/classed, but not built as a topbar widget.

    .topcorner
    {
    top:0;
    right:0;
    height:40px;
    position:absolute;
    padding:10px;
    }

    This css floats to the top right of the content area below the topbar and header. Not what I was hoping for…

    Logo Layout = widget (standard header style)
    Primary menu is on row below widget area BUT the row height of the menu is too much.
    It looks like that row padding or margins may be set to high, or ? anyway, I need to make the height less.
    An “inspect” of the page code shows that the row is at – div:row 1170×88.

    how to reduce this row height ? thank you

    for reference only:

    <div class=”row”>
    <div class=”col-md-12 kad-header-right”>
    <nav id=”nav-main” class=”clearfix”>
    <ul id=”menu-main” class=”sf-menu sf-js-enabled”><li class=”menu-home current-menu-item current_page_item menu-item-25″><span>Home</span>
    <li class=”menu-shop menu-item-26″><span>Shop</span>
    <li class=”menu-samplepage menu-item-24″><span>Sample Page</span>
    <li class=”menu-search-icon-kt”>

    <i class=”icon-search”></i>

    <div id=”kad-menu-search-popup” class=”search-container container collapse”>
    <div class=”kt-search-container”>

    Hey! It looks as though you’ve got the top bar widget area enabled, as well as the search in Theme Options> Top Bar. Hannah was saying her solution works if you want the top bar widget area. Based on the styling of yours, it looks like you’re not using widgets up there.

    So try going into Theme Options> Top Bar settings, and make sure that you DISABLE the Top Bar widget area, and then enable the search.

    Let me know if this works for you!

    Hi James,
    Do you have the topbar widget area enabled? This will override the default topbar search. You can just add a search widget to your topbar widget area from Appearance > Widgets.
    Hope that helps!

    This CSS will allow you to change the color of your main menu background. Place in Theme Options> Advanced Settings and let me know if this works. You’ll want to change the color red to whatever works for you site.

    .kad-header-right ul {
        background: red;
    }

    There are also options for menu background colors in Theme Options> Menus.
    http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/menus/

    As for adding a button to the menu, that’s a bit difficult. You could enable the widget area in your header via Theme Options> Main Settings, and add a button to that area above your menu in Appearance> Widgets. Though this doesn’t look great when I test it on my site. Someone else might have a better solution for this.

    Hey,
    You can target that area with css:

    .header-widget-area-header .textwidget {
        font-size: 18px;
        color: blue;
    }

    Or just use a visual editor widget and change the text style. Or an image (that wouldn’t change much as long as you compressed the image for web.

    I don’t recommend using caching plugins while your developing your site so I suggest you turn off both rocket and especially cloudflare while you are making the site. When your done then activate and optimize. You can use sites like pingdom to check for speed results.

    If you are having trouble thing things “not save at times, disappear or I lose it” that can be a sign that you need to talk with your hosting about your php settings. I suggest you contact them and have them look in your php error log file. If anything shows up that will tell you wants being triggered and why.

    I know a lot of people using wp rocket cache (including me on many sites) it’s a very good plugin. Who is your hosting company?

    I add a currency switcher to the top menu. However the widget title is miles away from the currency drop down menu. Also the width of the top menu is far too wide.

    Could you assist here please.

    Hi Guys,

    I have a question about the footer. I have been trying for several weeks to try to find a design that I like for my website footer area. I am not good with html code or css so it has been a bit rigid. I tried the various built in footer widgets but cannot get the result I want yet.

    I like the way your website is set up better. I seem to have that sort of but not as centered and lined up as yours. You have the 4 spaces. Your logo on the left, then about us with some text second, then newsletter 3rd, then a list of contact or resource info. That is basically what I want. Here is what I am looking at:

    I don’t know how to shrink the mailchimp form to that nice smaller size. I also don’t know how to do the about with text or the list on the right with links. I’d like a list like yours except with my own choices that pertain to my business like below and the ability to link it so the customer can just click on it. So far in the footer widget all I seem to have a choice from is plain text and visual editor, both won’t allow me to link anything. I also can’t seem to get the spacing right. I’d like the spacing like yours on your footer to be spaced out neatly like that.

    Right now I have my footer selected 4th choice in the footer layout. Does the widget over-ride that? I find that a bit confusing as I am trying to use the widget and it appears to be working but is quite spacious. With this chosen my logo is going below my mailchimp form creating a vertical effect rather then horizontal like yours. I’m not sure if that is due to spacing or what?

    I’d like to be able to shrink the mailchimp box if need be but don’t know how to do that, do you? Hopefully I have described it well. You can see on SybellasBlessingShop dot com

    Oh, and my topbar font color won’t stay for some reason. I have the css code that you gave me hannah but it keeps reverting back to white and you can hardly see it. I don’t know why. This happens sometimes with my website when I do changes it will revert back to the original look from a long time ago it is strange.

    Here is the css code you gave me:
    }
    .topbarmenu ul li a {
    color: #0c86b2;
    }

    In fact I just got done writing a description of my business on the advanced page and it is now gone after being saved before, it’s disappeared. It is like my work is being undone….:(

    Thank you!!!

    Try a row with one widget area all across and place a Visual Editor in it. Then, place the column shortcode into the the editor.

    You can then use the Add Media button to place the images within each column.

    There are options for sizing the images when you click the small pencil icon that floats above the image when you click it. You may want to center align it as well.

    The issue is with going this route is that you wont have the image menu effects such as the title in the corner, but you can add titles to the Visual Editor and the hover effect with CSS.

    Try that and let me know if it works for you.

    Hey,
    Where are you adding the split widget? Which page? Can you post a direct link?

    You can increase the space for the logo using this css:

    @media (min-width: 992px){
        .kad-header-left {width:50%}
        .kad-header-widget {width:50%}
    }

    as for aligning you need to remove this:

    @media (min-width: 992px) {
    .widget-1.widget-first.header-widget-area-header.widget_black_studio_tinymce {
    margin-top: 25px;
    }
    }

    And add this in it’s place in your css:

    @media (min-width: 992px) {
    .header-widget-area-header {
    margin-top: 45px;
    }
    }

    Hey Sybella,
    1. Do you mind telling me what exactly is in your custom css?

    2. You can reduce the spacing with this css:

    .home-padding {
        padding: 25px 0 0;
    }

    3. You can use the layout builder widget and create a row with a set background color then add the testimonial widget on top of this row to give it a cleaner look. You can use this css to remove the testimonial title:

    .kadence_testimonials_slider h3 {
        display: none;
    }

    If you wanted the testimonial slider just above your footer you can set your page as a static page and using page builder add the testimonials widget to your home static page then enable Page Content at the bottom of your homepage layout manager in Theme Options > Home Layout.

    4.

    .widget-1.widget-first.header-widget-area-header.widget_text {
        font-size: 25px;
        margin-top: 50px;
    }

    You can remove the padding around the logo with this:

    #logo {
        padding: 0;
    }

    Hope that’s helpful!

    Hi there, so I wanted to try out using the home widget instead of the flex slider. I want to be able to use an image as well as welcome text to my website. You guys gave me some great code to get rid of the space between the flex slider and secondary menu, which still works for the widget. However, now the cursor stopped working for some reason on my secondary menu. It will not allow me to click on any of teh secondary menu but will for everything else. The only change I did was the home widget.

    I also now need to adjust the white space between the home widget and the product categories which you will see on my homepage.

    I’d also like to have the option to put in testimonial slider on home widget too but don’t know how to get rid of the gappy space that this creates. Another possible area would be at the bottom of the home page under the product categories but above the footer section. How would I do that? Also is there a way to get rid of the word testimonial which is quite large and taking up space or to even change it to say what our “customers are saying,” or something?

    Lastly, how do I make the font size bigger in the header widget for free shipping next to my logo and also have it still line up with my logo and how can I make my logo a bit bigger so it fills up some of the already white space?

    SybellasBlessingShop dot com

    Thank you so much, you guys are awesome!

    Sybella
