May 18, 2016 at 9:53 am #95508It’s from a plugin, doesn’t matter is the same as your visual editor.
Where are you adding your shortcode? I’m looking at the code on your site and I don’t see any home widget area enabled in the theme options > home layout?
Ben

So what you can do is enable your home widget area in theme options > home layout then go to Appearance > Widgets and add a text widget to your home widget area. Then add this shortcode into the text widget:
[blog_posts orderby=date items=1 word_count=30 cat=services]
Does that work for you?Hannah
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Virtue Call to Action Widget -No Image
Hey John,
You’re right in that there is not a background image option for the call the action widget. If you’re adding the widget through page builder then you can set the image background of the widget or the row. If you’re using the home widget area then you can use the layout builder widget and add your call to action widget within that.
Hope that helps!Hannah

Hi Kevin.
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, it works doing like you told me.
But in fact, I saw that I can configured only in Theme Options -> Home Layout.
I put Portfolio Full + Latest Blog Posts + Home Widget Area sections.
I don’t know yet how to add the Widgets to Home Widget Area, but at least i have the portfolio as I want (full size also) and the post blogs.
So it’s ok for now.
If in the future i want to have sections from Page Builder, i will have Page Content also. Can you answer me another questions about Portfolio?
I have created 7 Portfolios, but only 4 are showed in the Pages.
There is some configuration?Thank you!

May 12, 2016 at 3:45 pm #947362. I put the exact code I posted here… works fine.
If you want to move the add beside the price you can use css like this just note that any variation product would then be thrown off.
@media (min-width: 992px){ #content div.product .summary.entry-summary form.cart { float:left; width:80%; } #content div.product .summary.entry-summary div[itemprop="offers"] { float: left; width: 20%; } }3. Moving the proceed to checkout would require more edits to woocommerce. you can look at the cart template and see all the hooks. Your looking at something like this:
remove_action( 'woocommerce_proceed_to_checkout', 'woocommerce_button_proceed_to_checkout', 20 ); add_action( 'woocommerce_before_cart_table', 'woocommerce_button_proceed_to_checkout', 20 );4. You can use css like this:
@media (min-width: 992px){ div#customer_details { float: left; width: 50%; padding-right: 15px; margin: 0; padding-left: 15px; } form.checkout.woocommerce-checkout { margin-left: -15px; margin-right: -15px; } .col2-set .col-1, .col2-set .col-2 { width: 100%; float: none; padding: 0; clear: both; } div#order_review { width: 50%; padding: 0 15px; float: left; } h3#order_review_heading { float: left; width: 50%; padding: 0 15px; } } .col2-set .col-1, .col2-set .col-2 { clear: both; }It’s not exactly what you want but what you can do with css else you would need to edit the woocommerce files.
5. You would need to use the standard header. Then choose the logo layout that allows for a widget area next to the logo.
In the header logo space you can add whatever you want in terms of links. A phone link is just

May 12, 2016 at 9:11 am #94647Hi Hannah,
Thank you for your answer, but it doesn´t work. This is what I have done:
Home layout–>Enable Home Widget Area
Appearance–>Widgets–>added “Text Widget” into “Home widget area”–>pasted the shortcode in there
When I look at my home page, there is a space where the widget is ment to appear, but nothing is in there.
Could we try something else? maybe specifying one category product? (I don´t know code, so I don´t know how exactly I could try this I am saying)
Thank youuuuu 🙂In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: show cattegory with home carousel
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Layout builder not working in home widget area
Hi Hanna!
Yes it is working there. I used it to create some other pages for the site. Anyways, after you answered i tried it again and surprise, it is working now in the homepage…
Yesterday when i used an other solution for my purpose (because the layout builder wasnt working in the home widget area) i edited the “home page” and i add some content (the one i wanted add using the builder…) and now, when i tried the layout builder it worked fine in the home widget area… is it possible that it doesnt works if the home page is “empty”? maybe a bug? because i would say it is the only thing i changed from this 2 past days…
regards

In forum: Virtue ThemeI want to set some images with hover effect and few other widgets just above the footer section.
I tried to add the layout widget in the home widget area but no matters how many columns or widgets i use they never display in the front end. The other “normal” widgets that i set in the home widget area does work but not the layaout widget..
I am missing something or its not possible to use that widget in the home widget area?

50 Years AgoI can add other widgets with no problem. But something about the custom menu is glitching.

May 9, 2016 at 8:20 am #94116Hey Venci,
That isn’t something that would be built in.So you use a child theme and build in another widget area into the footer.
Or as a workaround you can change the columns to two. In your theme options > footer settings. Then add this css:
.footercol1, .footercol2 { width:100%; }That will give your footer two rows with 1 widget area in each. Then you can use the “layout builder” widget from pagebuilder and create 4 columns with the top widget area. Make sense?
Ben

Hi,
I am using the home page widget area, and in that I am using multiple Pinnacle:Recent posts. They are stacking up one on top of the other. I’d love to see them side by side in a table 2 or 3 up if possible. Looking for suggestions on an easy way to do this! Thanks, Glenn
