Adding star ratings on home page for SEO results

Hi Ben,
I wanted to ask how I can add a star rating to my website (on the homepage) I wanted this to be displayed in Google search results.
I know it’s possible to add testimonials to products, but is there a way to add this to the homepage?
What’s the best way to do this? Maybe there’s a plugin or way to use the built in testimonial rating system.
