Box Shadow on pages

Hi there, I’ve added a box shadow between the header and slider on the home page. I’d like to carry this through to the other pages but it doesn’t seem to be working. Below is the CSS I’m using which works for the home page.
header#kad-header-menu {
box-shadow: 0px 1px 4px rgba(50, 50, 50, 0.35);
}
